Funny as hell! No pun intended 😆

Impressive! The actors sound and move like the real celebrities, yet, in an intentionally overacting way - and that's so funny! Great ideia, greatly put into action. Loved it.

The real Misses Robinson!
3 April 2024
Warning: Spoilers
"Are you trying to seduce me?"

All jokes aside, what a great, great little film it was! It touches on a very delicate subject, which is the way people are brought up. In her case, she was uncomfortable about her sex life all her life and needed to be free. And people shouldn't waste all their lives being sexually repressed only to find that out when they're old. In his case, repressed as well but behaved in an opposite direction. But both were hurt and broken.

About the acting, it was superb! The two main actors were both very natural no matter how awkward those situations were. I believed in every scene.

I think it could very well be a theatre piece! I'm sure there'll be lots of domestic and international theatre productions!

Strong movie, definitely not for the faint of heart. Great history, great acting, great directing, great cinematography and great sets! A movie about strength in a time and place where religion dictated the rules. Lots of violence and gore helps the horror to find its place. Definitely a 10/10!

Why IMDb insists on the minimum amount of characters? I just need enough to express myself. 😉

It's getting better and better
14 March 2024
Warning: Spoilers
I like where it's going about the parallel worlds. When car colors change, I can go for that. But names? Paul's wife and daughter have their names changed but Paul didn't go much about that. I think he should look more confused. Even more at the end when he meets a very different Bud! But like I said, I like where it is going!

Such a lovely little movie!
11 March 2024
Well, to begin with, I'm a fan of Craig Ferguson. That's what made me watch it all the way in the first place. But nonetheless, it is in fact a lovely little movie. The sightseeing, the nice little town, the "inn"! It's a feel good movie. So if you like Scotland, a little romance and some light, funny and not pretentious comedy, this is for you. And I'm usually not a fan of rom com, but this one deserves a watch!

From the LSD episode on it went down hill
6 February 2024
I was really enjoying it. It started out with that Cohen brothers' Fargo vibe to it. But then after the LSD episode it all went down to shait! Plus, they're insisting with season 2! I guess it can get worse... Aside from the story, I loved watching the outbacks and the main characters working as well. They're great. But they can't win over bad story telling. That's my take on it. I'm disappointed the way it turned out to be.

Halo (2022– )
10/10
For me, who never played, it's amazing!
6 January 2024
Warning: Spoilers
Halo is a TV series that does justice to its source material, the popular video game franchise of the same name, and also stands on its own as a quality and entertaining show. The series features a compelling performance by Pablo Schreiber as Master Chief, the iconic super-soldier who fights against a hostile alien race. Schreiber balances the stoic and badass persona of Master Chief with glimpses of his humanity and vulnerability, as he struggles with his past and his identity. The series also explores the relationship between Master Chief and Cortana, his artificial intelligence companion, voiced by Jen Taylor, who reprises her role from the games. Taylor brings warmth and wit to Cortana, who serves as Master Chief's guide and confidant, as well as a source of mystery and intrigue.

The series also boasts impressive production values and special effects, which create a immersive and realistic depiction of the Halo universe. The series showcases the stunning visuals and designs of the various planets, spaceships, and weapons, as well as the epic and thrilling battles between the humans and the aliens. The series also pays homage to the game's soundtrack and sound effects, which enhance the mood and the tension of the scenes.

Halo is a must-watch for fans of the game, as well as for anyone who enjoys sci-fi and action. The series offers a captivating and emotional journey that explores the themes of war, identity, loyalty, and destiny. Halo is a TV series that delivers on its promise of being a faithful and respectful adaptation of the game's mythology, but also a creative and original expansion of the story and the characters.

Violent Night (2022)

Home Alone meets Die Hard
28 November 2023
Warning: Spoilers
It doesn't know what it wants to be. It cannot be watched by children neither by adults. It's filled with gore yet Santa Claus is real and he wants to spread the message of Christmas. I think it's a waste of time, money and talent. I like the actors of the movie but with a bad direction and a terrible script it just can't go anywhere. I'm not against making a different Santa Claus, we had two other good movies like this with Kurt Russell and Mel Gibson and they worked out great because they had a target audience. I had to stop watching this movie to get a grip and then came back and made it to the end asking myself why did they do this movie in the first place. Just a total waste, don't watch it if you like yourself and the spirit of Christmas and and the spirit of gore! 😂

Warrior: Enter the Dragon (2020)
Season 2, Episode 9
10/10
The most violent episode so far! 👏
17 September 2023
The whole series is full of violence, but this one beats them all! The action is everywhere and in your face! Like everything in this series, no violence is gratuitous. Everything comes together, there's always a reason for all the mess, all the fights, all the anger, all the revenge! No one is free from guilt. The way things were at that time, there could be only one way to "solve" it: through violence, no less! Enter the Dragon couldn't be a more appropriate name for this episode. The spirit of Bruce Lee comes fully alive in this series. They keep reminding us of him every step of the way. Be it by the moves or by the cuts on the main character... Long live Bruce Lee's memory! What a pleasure it's been watching this fine production. Kudos and keep up the good work, guys!

Quite surprising "accidentally" deaths!
12 February 2023
It's that kind of movie where the ending justifies the means! And surprises you! Before that, you'd just take it for granted. Then be aware... and don't let yourself be fooled by false premises and supposed cliches! So if good ol' "accidentally" deaths is your cup of tea... then this movie is for you! It certainly was mine! 🍵

It's very annoying you have to write longer than you need to in order for your review to get published. So here is my solution: I just have to repeat myself. 😂

See how I ran... from the theatre!!
22 January 2023
Warning: Spoilers
It tries to be funny but fails drastically. Although the aesthetics look perfect and the acting isn't so bad, the direction and pace dragged me down completely. I couldn't care less who the murderer was. I got desinterested. The detective's assistant couldn't be that naive and childish. If the movie's intention was to be that way on purpose, then it definitely succeeded.

Andor: The Eye (2022)
Season 1, Episode 6
8/10
No eye here but most definitely the best episode so far!
20 October 2022
Warning: Spoilers
"The Eye" is the most visually spectacular episode of this show so far, and it proves to be the best based on its epic scope. Cassian continues to grow and is a fascinating individual, so wherever the writers decide to take him as the next step on his journey is somewhere that I can't wait to follow.

The cinematography and effects were stunning, I was absolutely in awe of the visuals this episode.

The acting and writing were spot on and engaging. Tense as anything with riveting action sequences. It almost felt like a Christopher Nolan movie at times. I love the three episode arc structure where we get the build up episodes and then the kicker at the end, it allows each storyline to fester and build so that the conclusion feels earned. Of course the real focus of this episode was the heist but Mon Mothma and Luthen both get attention back on Coruscant and I enjoy seeing their storylines simmer and flex in response to happenings elsewhere in the galaxy.

Never seen before approach on the subject!
4 September 2022
Warning: Spoilers
I don't understand all the hate. It's a good and certainly creative movie. While I still don't know the relevance of the monkey story, I found the movie to be unusually intriguing and very creative about the characteristics of the main protagonist. I've never seen such an approach before... I mean, who'd think of an UFO to be a whole being itself?! By the way, I think the ET should have lights, like a luminescent being, i.e., some under water animals or even fireflies because, after all, every report on ETs says the have lights! Other than that, it was a very entertaining movie, even so, sometimes it felt a little slow. Let's say it's a slow burner then! Lol Overall, great acting, superb cinematography, believable special effects and an unusual story. Just watch it with an open mind and I'm sure you'll enjoy it! ;)

It's Dario Argento all over it!
29 August 2022
Nice little horror comedy to watch if you're familiar with the works of Italian horror director Dario Argento! Don't take it too seriously and I'm sure you're gonna enjoy it! Aesthetically, it takes you right back to the 60's! That's my take on it.

Existential, dramatic and a little Syfy...
6 August 2022
I made an early review about episode 2, a very slow and boring one. Then I decided to give it a second chance and watched the third episode... and the 4th... and then... I got hooked again! Although it has some weird scenes throughout the series, I enjoyed it as a whole, mainly the acting from the teen actresses! But it's a 6,5 and one thumb up! 😉😂

Started out so good...
5 August 2022
Warning: Spoilers
I don't know what happened here... This second episode is terribly sluggish! Nothing interesting happens. It's so depressing... I hope it gets better writing and directing! Some things don't even make sense, like, for instance when the tough teen goes to her old non existent home by bicycle, who's bicycle is that? Plus, it was a vintage! Where did she get it? And the other girl just show up there? How? In the middle of night?! And the old Asian girl, who did she become so dumb and depressed and so annoying?! Oh, well, I'll give it one more try and see if it gets better because the only thing that's keeping me interested is the time traveling future people now!

The most brilliant sickening and violent cartoon ever! I'm yet to see a better one. Unfortunately it never went past the pilot, which is a shame for the adult cartoon industry... We need more of these! I just wish they made a series out of this one! Imagine the glory! 😂 But its creator went on and stuck with SpongeBob...

Robert Rodriguez... what happened to you man?
15 January 2022
I'm a huge fan of Robert Rodriguez but I must say... He's not being himself on this one! There's literally no sign of his touch. Not even bringing Danny Trejo to the series helped it because Trejo isn't acting like himself either! It seems like they have been sold out to that Disney made-for-children spirit. Anyway, I was really looking forward for this one after watching The Mandalorian, which I liked very much! C'mon, Rodriguez... Don't let the studios control you anymore! Fight it! Make it awesome!

One thing I must compliment though: visually, it looks awesome!

not one laugh, looking right at it!
28 December 2021
Although the editing is amazing, no movie can solely depend on that! The acting was a little over sometimes and most characters weren't even likable. Perhaps it was all on purpose but it didn't work for me... I understand there's an ideological and political statement there and I appreciate that. But still, it didn't work for me.

3 December 2021
It starts up like a regular movie and towards the end it drives your insane along with the protagonist! Highly recommend it if you wanna get high without drugs! Cloning, aliens or madness? See it for yourself. 😂 And the acting of the main character is out of this world!

Style over substance
23 November 2021
Mimicking the original cartoon just ain't gonna cut it. That made the actors sound cartoonish and unrealistic. That's a downer for me right there. Plus, even the original's score sound a bit boring and drags the directing down with it. Sorry but it's a no no. I gave it a 5 for the production value. It looks really good! Still, I couldn't even finish the first episode.

Not Blade Runner material
15 November 2021
Too bad the movements and characters are so 2001's... And what's up with the rubber like skin? One thing I must say about the architecture and objects: they look really good! I watched the first two episodes and there isn't much to say about them... I'm cheering for the series to get more interesting, at least! Oh, well... So much for the real Blade Runner!
