Ministry of Mayhem (2004)
No matter how many times you rebuild your ad package ITV... YOUR PROGRAM IS TRASH!
Ministry of Mayhem did look promising, until they started to change the formula every week during the opening weeks. I turned off after then and watched Dick and Dom, as they are funny compared to MOM. I watched it again once to see if it got better, like i did with SMTV. Alas, it did not.
This program is unspeakably rubbish, from the bro and bro lookalikes to the overpaid presenters. And strangely enough, the program is still on the air! One thing to notice was the first ad-campaign that followed the launch (there were other ad-campaigns that were just as rubbish). Come on ITV, the opening level Sonic heroes trick was used before! Amougt others!
But then again, what do i suspect from a company who seems to have become mute to its customers.
Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines (2003)
2 years on.... and this has set the low standard for sequels
We have all seen how a few companies can set up the "milking" wagon. Nevlada, Disney, Microsoft. But here is another example of how one film defined the "low standard" of media. T3: Rise of the machines or should that be T3: The Unneeded sequel.
My brother got this as a Christmas present 2 years back. He thought it was alright and i thought the same thing. But that was 2 years ago...
It seems to hit me (especially after watching T2, though not all of it) that their never was meant to be a sequel, the story was already closed, finished, done. So why did somebody continue the story when James Cameron, already finished it? We might not know the answer to that, but one things for sure, it set the "low milking standard" for films like xXx 2, 2 Fast 2 Furious and Batman and Robin. Just like the companies i stated above.
And some people enjoy the miking wagon?
If you are going to see this, DON'T! Watch T2 and consider the story closed.
