Portrait of a war between a too dedicated mailman and a lady around a sign and its package. Seductive for the metamorphosis of the kind guy and for the menaces of lady. And, not the last, for the admirable way of Paul Plankett to give the fair portrait of his character.

powerful
27 November 2020
A couple in the heart of pandemy. His doubts about his health and about the risks for the wife and coming to be born baby. In the absence of any alternative, a radical gesture. It reminds the novel of Jose Saramago . but, more important, in the present social context, it becomes a sort of slice of near reality. A film about options. Precise, cold, well crafted. powerful for its message.

Samuel Goergen
27 November 2020
His performance represents the story itself. Fascinating into a creepy atmosphere frame. Seductive for details. Significant for the expectation of the answers. A boy, alone, in a house, part of a sort of precise routine. A touching - cold film about an ambiguous menace and about efficient form of survive. And, off course, about a long expectation. The basic virtue - fair definition of childhood.

great
27 November 2020
The first virtue - it is a historical Eastern film. You feel that scene by scene. Second - it is a great testimony about one of terrible episodes of Serbian history. Not the last - it propose a magnificent performance of Lazar Ristovski. Sure, it seems too complex, mixing themes and characters more useful for a serie. But , obvious, using its tools, it is more impressive than Hollywood blockbusters with historical scenes. Because it is not exactly a film about heroism but about people. Their pain, kindness, love, fight, hope, friendship, survive, death, ways, faith, king. And the cinematography is more than inspired. Short, just a great film.

Miami - Dade County

A very useful documentary for understand the resorts of democracy. Powerful in the context of 2020 presidential elections, interesting for the mechanism of victory of G.W.Bush and great for the reflection of details. It is just fascinating this huge ball of manipulation and precises steps to the expected- forced win. So, just useful proof about the force of a county.

cliches and nothing more
26 November 2020
A too familiar recipe, reasonable performances, a bad script, reflecting all cliches of the psychopat films. The only good point- Willow Hale. And, unfortunately, nothing more. Short, from the title you know the end.

A great fairy tale about identity, acceptance, hunt and kill and about self definition. A film who I love for cinematography and, no doubts, for acting. Great atmosphere and high care about details. And the fair end. A boy growing up, his father, passionated by hunting, his mother - part of long grief. And the antlers- as easy define metaphor . High simplicity , admirable message.

Two delicate themes. A wise way for define them. And fair frame for a profound dilemma. The Palestinian problem discovered from inside, from the perspective of a young mother, her political duty, at the clash between the care about the new born child and the pressure of a task who represents the death of her. And the option, clear, precise, cold. A film to remind a profound, long-time crisis. And its fundamental prices.

about love
24 November 2020
An old couple, verses of Hafez, the tension between a young couple, flowers and figues and the atmosphere of honey and cinnamon. The first temptation is to define it as a beautiful film. Or to feel it as fake, too didacticist, naive, poetic, artificial, a sentimental project, too pink to not be made for easy public/festivals succes. But, obvious, it is more. You feel the soul of a world in each scene. So, more than a good film, a seductive confession. Maybe, real useful. About marriage, off course, about love and happiness, no doubts. But, more important, about the fair way to discover, as part of yourself, the other.

The source of its beauty remains ambiguous, like a flavor. But it works in well manner. For a form of grace, bitterness, eroticism and freedom as key of happiness. A beautiful film for performances, dialogue and structure of story. And, no doubts, for the fresh end.

It represents a good start point for discover the story of Liberty statue. A lot of themes, many subjects, a sort of resume , nice for good intentions and for concept but not always convincing. More a sort of remind about, for significances and meanings, great monument . Short, a short history, useful as reasonable start point of personal searches.

A teenager and his perspective about near reality in the frame of Cubanese Periodo Especial . Good performances, correct story, fair constructed atmosphere, interesting use of themes. And the feeling about something missing. It is not a film to critic very hard but the impression, after its end, it is to see a gallery of sketches. Good ones, no doubts, but only sketches. Poetic, precise in traits, giving the exact details of a profound collective drama.

a question
22 November 2020
It is basically a question, more than a film . About fundamental decisions between duty and compassion, about status and meaning of teacher and about good faith as sharp tool. Admirable performance of Marie Bunel, inspired fotography and great , concentrated story. A film proposing old what must do ? and that provocative detail remains the great virtue of it.
