The Wrong Rock (2019)
To the Fungi land!
Here lies the power of animation. It only takes a good story, a genuine protagonist, and a melody to melt the heart of the viewer in a couple of minutes.
This film is a treasure in every aspect, a total immersion in a tiny world (not so different, not so challenge-free compared to our own Earth) that blesses us with truly beautiful and original designs besides introducing the essential messages of unity, transformation and integrity (which are very valuable and vital for people of all ages).
The greatest path is always lead by courage and bonds of love! Amazing artwork.
The Stranger (2020)
The panic in the city of dreams.
The Stranger is a sinister adventure, a grim journey starring fear, survival, and loneliness. High quality product that plays with the dangers of society and that uses film history as a potential to connect with the essence of the characters.
Maika Monroe directs the plot in a maze of panic, bravery and desolation.
Avan Jogia transmits warmth, determination and humanity to JJ. A simple, comical, and honest boy with enough courage to fight disaster. Or at least, to doubt the kind and manipulated reality.
Dane DeHaan is the living image of evil as Carl. A cold character, thirsty for chaos and supremacy who loves to sow death and destruction to define himself as the king of the game. With megalomaniac and scary tints, Dane perfectly fits the role, goes directly to freeze the blood.
I recommend it!
Gotham: Rise of the Villains: The Last Laugh (2015)
A clown never loses the smile.
It has been a good beginning of the second season, but Jerome Valeska shouldn't have left the show. With only 4 episodes, he has become the prince of chaos. He is not just a legend or a myth. He is the one who knows how to rule the city without rules. The maniac who thinks that madness is the redemption for the world where we live in. The panic's master and the defender of horror. The clown that everybody fears to laugh at. Why did they killed him and transformed the character just into an idea?
But despite the script, Cameron Monaghan did an amazing job. He brought a fresh air to the young 'Joker'. He didn't missed all the gestures of the the old actors who played the role, and he had that psychotic expression expression in the eyes, particular of the circus villain. He was perfect in every scene. This guy deserves recognition. Despite that he won't appear more in Gotham, the audience will remember him. Congratulations to Cameron. His career has just began to rise.
Heath and the others would be proud of this brilliant, talented boy.
