Supergirl (2015–2021)
7/10
Chappy Watched: Supergirl - Season One
13 September 2016
The thing I don't like most about Superman and Supergirl is that a simple pair of glasses is their only disguise; I mean most of these people are supposed to be reporters!

I did start this series ages ago but only got four episodes in before I stopped. Kara was just too awkward to watch and not the adorkable awkward that Barry is on The Flash, just painfully awkward.

It wasn't until news broke that Tyler Hoechlin would be starring as Clark Kent/Superman on the show that it made me want to watch the show again.

I'm glad I did because it does get better… in some parts.

Kara and Jimmy Olsen are by far the worst characters on the show. I feel like Jimmy is only there to be the sexy, beefcake and doesn't really contribute anything to the story, including the will they/won't they between Jimmy and Kara that gets old real fast and borders on an annoying teenage drama.

Winn has his moments during the season but he is clearly the Cisco of Supergirl – down to being the technical and unlucky in love guy.

The best parts of this show are by far Cat Grant (Calista Flockhart), Alex Danvers (Chyler Leigh) and Hank Henshaw (David Harewood). First impressions of Cat is that she's just going to tough as nails boss, who is going to be a thorn in Kara's side but as the season goes on, she proves that she's a tough, powerful woman but has layers that are slowly revealed throughout the season.

The relationship between Alex and Hank is probably one of the best things about this show and just gets better and better towards the end of the season.

What is it with these superhero shows revealing their secret identities to everyone! So far, Supergirl hasn't been as bad as Arrow and The Flash but we are only one season in.

There are flashes of Krypton but you still don't see a lot or learn something that hasn't already been explored but through out this entire season is pop culture references, so many references including Cat Grant making a Harrison Ford joke!

Even though this is a show about Supergirl, I feel that Clark Kent/Superman does need to be in it apart from silhouettes. This is her first year being a superhero and she's going to need help especially considering some of the Kryptonian villains.

I'm very glad I went back to watching this show; I'm also very interested to see how the show will go on The CW and if it will change much.

Money Monster (2016)

I don't see a George Clooney or Julia Roberts movie and instantly need to see it but when I saw the trailer for this film, it did stir some interest.

The surprising thing about this film is that the two stars don't even spend that much time on screen together. They are off in different room and doing their individual jobs.

I really, really liked this movie. The cast is absolutely top notch, some might assume that with two of the biggest actors out there, that there might some ego and seniority, but all that is nowhere in sight. Jack O'Connell is absolutely brilliant in this film, he was the highlight for me in Unbroken and the same could be said with this film.

Aside form the main three actors, even all the supporting cast brought their top game to the movie! Caitriona Balfe is one example, her role of Diane Lester might not have been as big or meaty as the top roles but I still really liked seeing her character on screen.

The story is engaging and thrilling, it had me hooked and on the edge of my seat through the entire thing. There are also some pretty awesome scenes and shots in the movie and it wasn't until the end credits that I remembered that Jodie Foster directed it!

The only negative thing I have about this film is the ending; I don't know if it was because it was so action packed and fast paced that when it got to the slower paced ending, I didn't like the difference or if it was the ending itself.

As brilliant as this movie is, I'm not sure, and it's something I'm still trying to decide, that it is something I would watch again or even see the need to own.

Maybe if it's in a bargain bin down the track. Maybe.

Even if you aren't a fan of Clooney or Roberts, I definitely recommend this movie.

Lucifer (2016–2021)

Chappy Watched: Lucifer - Season One
1 September 2016
The main reason for me wanting to this was for Tom Ellis; he was brilliant in Miranda plus the whole heaven and hell theme so I was instantly on board for this.

There is a big part of this show – most of the season actually – that is just another cop show but this guy happens to have some 'powers' but even those aren't used on every case. There are some boring story lines through the show especially in the middle and it's not until the last two episodes that things start to pick up.

There is some bad green screen work with basic driving scenes but also a rooftop scene with some horrible work. There were some awesome bits and pieces in some of the episodes including one where the therapist, Dr. Linda Martin, goes out onto the field.

There are a lot of funny bits through the whole season, mostly Lucifer but sometimes the other cast members are the ones providing the laughs.

Something that annoyed me was the dropping, or ignoring, of story lines. Something happens at the beginning of the season between Lucifer and Chloe, the detective, which just simmers out and is only touched upon every couple of episodes.

The cast is pretty good, most of them get some character development as the season progresses but I'm not too sure about Chloe (Lauren German). I think the actress is good but I just don't think the character is being written very well; some moments she seems really smart and tough (mostly the first and last episodes) but then in other moments (the rest of the season) she gets kind of airy and it's almost like the writers are deliberately dumbing her down.

It's a show that has its ups and downs, it's not a show where I ever need to watch Season One again but I will probably watch the second season.

Ender's Game (2013)

After watching this, I'm disappointed that I left it this long to watch it!

I was hooked straight from the beginning and all the way until the very end!

The cast is definitely a big chunk of that. Both the older and younger cast members brought their A games and all gave awesome performances all the way through. Harrison Ford, Ben Kinsley and Viola Davis were brilliant as was Asa Butterfield.

The story was another part; it was pretty much instantly captivating and had me completely absorbed and hanging on every thread. The story itself was entertaining, good for the whole family and details what happened to get where the film starts quickly without spending too much time dwelling on it.

The special effects were stunning throughout and visually beautiful with a technical, and what I think, is a realistic look at what the future may entail.

Without giving too much away, the ending wasn't what I expected but in a good way. It does with the feeling that there is supposed to be more but doesn't leave us hanging if there isn't – which looks to be the case.

This is an amazing movie with an interesting storyline. Worth a watch.

I didn't even know this movie existed until I saw the trailer for it at the cinemas but the trailer and Tina Fey instantly made me want to see this movie.

I really like this movie. We've all seen war coverage repeatedly on TV but at the height of the wars, you never really thought about the reporters but this movie gives us a glimpse of that.

There are funny moments throughout the film – expected with Tina Fey – but there are also some really tense moments, even to the point of yelling at the television.

I've loved Tina Fey since Saturday Night Live and I absolutely loved seeing her in a serious film even if her character gets on your nerves at some points and happens to be the reason you want to yell at your screen.

But Fey is just one among many of the amazing acting talents in this film including Billy Bob Thornton, Alfred Molina, Martin Freeman, Josh Charles and Cherry Jones. But Christopher Abbott as Fahim was one of the best parts of this film to the point where I think he actually steals the show in any scene he is in!

While the film may have been filmed in Albuquerque and Morocco, the scenery and look of the film feels authentic as is the story telling.

One of the things I didn't like about this film was how some characters would just disappear, most to never to appear again but I think that is mostly due to how the film is structured with telling the story in years.

An awesome film with an awesome cast but one that I'm still not sure whether I would watch again.

MI-5 (2015)

Chappy Watched: Spooks - The Greater Good
21 August 2016
I had heard of the show but never watched any of it but was still interested in watching this movie.

It was a lot more drama filled than the cover and trailer led me to believe. It was still an enjoyable movie but I can't help but still be a little disappointed about the lack of action. There was a lot of running, about one fight and a couple more 'action' scenes but nothing action packed.

It has an excellent cast of British talent including Kit Harington (Game of Thrones), Tuppence Middleton (Sense8), Peter Firth (Spooks), Elyes Gabel (Scorpion), David Harewood (Supergirl), Jennifer Ehle (A Gifted Man) and plenty more.

I could just be me, as someone who hasn't watched Game of Thrones, but I didn't think much of Kit Harington in this film. I mean he seems good at the little bit of action that's in this film but I looked like he only had one emotion throughout the whole film!

Something that annoyed me was this was supposed to MI-5 but in a lot of scenes, they weren't very inconspicuous when they were tailing someone or hiding during an op (Please note: If the real MI-5 is reading this – I mean this movie. I'm sure you guys do a great job!).

Overall the cast and an entertaining story made this an okay movie to watch.

While this movie seems to leave things open for a sequel, which I would probably watch, I don't feel the need to watch this film again.

Cuban Fury (2014)

I love Nick Frost and Simon Pegg when they work together and I like some of their individual work. I saw the trailer for this ages ago and was interested but it wasn't something that I immediately had to watch.

I'm kind of okay with not rushing out to see this.

That's not to say it's bad, it's not, but it's most definitely something that can be watched at home.

This is a light, fluffy film with heart. It's a well-written story that manages to keep you interested even though it is predictable. There are jokes all the way through but I didn't laugh very much during the film.

Chris O'Dowd's character of Drew was probably the worst thing about the whole movie. All his character did was make fat jokes which all seemed stupid and like the same joke but just worded differently.

Other than O'Dowd, the other characters were entertaining to watch and likable, acted out by some good actors like Frost, Rashida Jones, Ian McShane and Rory Kinner.

I think the stand out of the whole film were the scenes and the relationship between Bruce (Frost) and his sister, Sam (Olivia Colman). They were just heartwarming and funny and I most definitely think the film would have been less without it!

An enjoyable, feel good film that is worth a watch at least once!

Chappy Watched: I, Frankenstein
21 August 2016
I know of the cliff notes version of the lore of Frankenstein and seen some of the different movie versions which is what made me interested in this version.

But…

… I feel like they have taken a very general idea of Frankenstein and then gone a different tangent.

For starters, Frankenstein's Monster is supposed to a man made of different parts from different people and it was even mentioned once during the movie but it sure didn't look like he was! There is a scar on his face that just looks like he was in an accident and there is a shirtless scene with exactly the same look.

If he was made from parts of different people, there would be a lot more scarring, different coloured skin and his whole body wouldn't be a smooth, one-piece body. Even something as simple as a limp would have been something good to be included.

It is absolutely HEAVY with special effects and if the capital letters didn't give it away, it was extremely heavy and not just action scenes and creatures – even simple scenes as Adam walking down the street was green screened?

Why? What a waste of money. Can you honestly tell me there were no simple streets to walk down for two seconds of film!

Having said that, the gargoyles and the demons, the destruction and accession effects did look pretty good.

You can definitely tell it was filmed in Australia; there was so many Aussie actors involved – Yvonne Strahovski, Miranda Otto, Jai Courtney and Caitlin Stasey.

There is nothing overly special about this film. The story, the script and the acting are pretty ordinary.

This film is okay to watch once but it's not something I would ever need to watch again.

It has gotten to the point where I don't even really need to know what the film is about. If it's a Disney film, I feel pretty safe going to watch it.

But this time, I knew about the story of Zootopia and was excited to see it.

I was not let down.

I love that the animation in these Disney movies is always top notch, full of detail down to the smallest things including hairs and scars, vibrant, beautiful colours and the voicing talents is always amazing; you might not know the actors but they always seem to fit the roles.

The story is brilliant as usual – an entertaining buddy cop comedy with a little drama thrown in - funny and full of emotion, both for adults and for kids, something Disney seems to do with all of their movies flawlessly.

If you love all the previous Disney movies, chances are you're going to love this!

Scream Queens (2015–2016)

I liked Glee (the earlier seasons), haven't watched them yet but I've heard good things about American Horror Story and American Crime Story so I thought I'd give this a go first.

I don't think words can describe how crap this was. Oh actually, here's some; this might actually be one of the worst TV shows I've ever watched!

In what sounded like a good story, is just repetitive and boring. Every episode has a murder, everyone suspects everyone else and we might learn a little tidbit about the murders. Rinse, recycle and repeat… for 13 episodes!

Having said all that; I don't think it's the actors fault! There are some pretty good people in the cast, including Jamie Lee Curtis who was the main draw card for me, but I think it was just the scripts they were given were horrible.

It felt like they got outlines of these, what would have been good, characters and turned the notch up x1000 making them unlikeable, unfunny and unbearable.

I don't know if it was how I watched it but I found it weird that out of 13 episodes, only episode five had opening credit and then they were gone by episode six.

Aside from the cast, pretty much the only thing I like was a scene where Jamie Lee Curtis recreated the Psycho scene her mother was in 50+ years ago.

I might have given this another shot if it was an anthology series like American Horror Story and American Crime Story but by the sounds of things, Season Two will be a continuation of this story with these characters but set in a different setting.

Chappy Watched: Eddie The Eagle
23 June 2016
I've gone from knowing nothing about this film, to hearing bits of what it's about when it was released in cinemas to watching it now and absolutely loving it!

The story is beautiful and heartwarming. Eddie is just a resilient, determined guy who even when things aren't going right, always seems to find the lighter side of things.

Taron Egerton and Hugh Jackman are absolutely brilliant in this movie. The likeness between the two kids playing Eddie and Taron are amazing as is the likeliness and mannerisms of the real Eddie the Eagle.

To me, this movie just feels like Hollywood has been left at the door in way of making an awesome, authentic movie. Speaking of authenticity, I love that this movie felt like it was actually in the '80s. The fashion, the setting, the music and score and even the fact that everyone was smoking anywhere and everywhere!

The thing I love about true stories or movies based on real people, is when the movie ends with either looking at where the person is now or seeing pictures of their journeys, Eddie the Eagle was no different.

This is just an awesome, feel good movie that I will definitely be watching again and that I'll recommend people watch at least once!

The Flash (2014–2023)

Chappy Watched: The Flash - Seasons 1 & 2
16 June 2016
Warning: Spoilers
I was a little bit hesitant about this in the beginning. The Flash has always been in my Top 3 DC characters and I wasn't entirely convinced that The CW could do it justice.

Boy was I wrong!

This, for over half of the season, has been my favourite new show of the 2014/15 season.

Every episode from the beginning just got better and better and would always leave me wanting the next week to hurry up and get here.

The cast is amazing. The three that I always enjoy watching is Grant Gustin, Danielle Panabaker and Carlos Valdes; they are all good to watch on their own but when the three of them work together is always awesome to watch.

The relationships are another thing I love about this show, most notably between Barry and Joe; the friendship between the two and also the father/son moments, especially in the final episode. Another one would have to be Wells and Cisco in particular towards the end of the season, I actually believe that Wells genuinely liked Cisco and regrets the way things had to go.

The range of guest stars and characters throughout the season, including the cast from Arrow, were awesome but Robbie Amell and Victor Garber as Firestorm were the highlight for me.

Another highlight and probably my favourite moments of the whole show; GRODD! Who would think that any show could bring in a telepathic gorilla into a show and not make it look like a joke. I really hope we see a lot more of Grood in Season 2!

My least favourite character would have to be Iris. Just really didn't get into watching the character on the screen but the moment when I disliked her the most was, I think it was episode 21 or 22, when Barry told her Wells killed his mother and her reaction was all about Eddie. I get it, your boyfriend has been kidnapped but your best friend has finally found out who murdered his mother and all she could concentrate on was her boyfriend and Barry's lies.

I love all the DC Comics references throughout the season from Ferris Air, Coast City and Jay Garrick but the awesome thing about these easter eggs is that they don't paint a neon sign towards it saying 'Look here!', it just there for those who know their stuff.

I am EAGERLY looking forward to Season Two! For me, it's too long to wait!

If you're not watching this – GET ON IT!

************************ SEASON TWO *******************************

I absolutely loved the first season so I was eagerly waiting for the new season. While Season Two is awesome, there are starting to be things in the show that I do not like.

Like Barry Allen! Barry had to be the worst character of the whole season, just so much complaining, whining, whinging and pig headedness. Always running off half-cocked, not listening to the team, screws up and then goes running back to them for help.

I really hope Barry improves in Season Three because there were some points throughout the season that he was hard to watch.

Cisco on the other hand; G.O.L.D! By far the best thing about the show and his character got bigger and better this season, still managing to stay the same character and so much more with the addition of his powers. Always on hand to make light of a dark situation without diminishing the importance of the situation.

I really hope Season Three brings a bigger and better storyline for Caitlin rather than her being in love and ultimately getting hurt. Having said that, I did absolutely love seeing Killer Frost – no matter how short it was.

The relationship between Barry and Joe is still as amazingly awesome as it was in Season One, just so heartfelt and pure. I originally was unconvinced of the idea of bringing back Tom Cavanagh full time but that changed throughout the season and worked really well without rehashing anything from the previous season.

This season I found Iris and Wally pretty useless, if they weren't in the show; as far as I'm concerned they wouldn't be missed. I felt that they brought Wally in too early to then just have him floating around in the background, he did get a bit more of a story towards the end of the season but that's when they should have brought him in.

Now onto Zoom. Overall, I have to say I'm pretty disappointed and that has nothing to do with the acting. Teddy Sears was brilliant but I think the writing and the structure of the season let it down.

I started to get sick of the here and there appearances; in one episode and gone for two. Repeat. In my opinion, I don't think we should have seen Zoom until the last episode before mid-season break or the returning episode afterwards. They should have spent the first half with miscellaneous bad guys from Earth 2 with inklings of Zoom, making him more of a menacing figure and then had his story more compacted through the second half of the show.

I still love this show, due to awesome dynamic between the cast, I think it's the best of the DCTV universe so I will 100% be watching Season Three.

Warning: Spoilers
I knew nothing of this character before it was announced that they would be making a show of it but given that I was from the same universe and network as Daredevil, there was no doubt I was going to watch it.

Boy was this hard to watch!

Where Daredevil is action, this is a psychological mindf**k. The themes are a lot heavier in this show and deal with rape of the mind. There were points where I felt that this show would have been better as a week-to-week show because I found it hard to watch more than three in a row.

Having said that, it is still a good show. The characters are interesting to watch and in what seems to be a regular occurrence with Netflix, the actors playing these characters are brilliantly casted.

My main exposure to David Tennant was Doctor Who and to see him in this as a psychotic nut job was a sight to behold. Rachael Taylor and Carrie-Anne Moss were awesome to watch and will hopefully see more of in the future.

The biggest character development and storyline would have to be from Malcolm (Eka Darville); from where he started to where he ended was just a big change in direction than what I thought he would have.

I am glad they killed Kilgrave, I don't think I could have watched another season with him in and I'm looking forward to seeing who the villain of Season Two will be.

As hard as this show was to watch, I will still be tuning in to Season Two.

Chappy Watched: Daredevil - Seasons 1 & 2
16 June 2016
Warning: Spoilers
I couldn't think of a better place for Daredevil than Netflix.

It's dark, it's gritty and it's violent; not something that would be as good if it were to air on any standard channel.

The opening credits are amazing and perhaps the best I've seen on any TV show. There is also no previously segments which means more time for the actual show, along with no ads, some of the episodes go for 57 minutes rather than the usual 40-45 minutes.

This is just like any other MCU project; the casting is brilliant. Charlie Cox is brilliant as Matt Murdock and Daredevil, Elden Henson as Foggy is entertaining to watch as was Toby Leonard Moore as Wesley. I found Karen (Deborah Ann Woll) to be boring and sometimes even annoying but I am very interested in seeing more of Claire Temple (Rosario Dawson). The show is full of strong characters from the main cast to the smaller guest starring roles.

The highlight of the whole series for me is Vincent D'Onofrio. I've known of D'Onofrio and some of his roles but never watched anything of his and he just completely kick ass as Wilson Fisk! One moment you're seeing him as this shy, charming man talking to Vanessa (Ayelet Zurer) and the next he is violently and psychotically killing someone in some very impressive death scenes.

I loved that we didn't see or hear anything about Fisk in episode one, his name was mentioned in episode two and it wasn't until episode three that we finally got to see him.

There are mentions of the Battle of New York from The Avengers and little mentions of other, yet to be seen, characters in the Daredevil and Marvel universe.

One thing that was constantly on my mind; why didn't anyone recognize that the black cloth over his head didn't have eyeholes?

The red costume, which appears in the final episode, is practical and still looks awesome. It looks like something you would wear if you happen to be a superhero in this present time and a costume that would actually protect you in a fight rather than look good.

Whilst the 2003 Daredevil movie is probably one of the worst comic book movies, I'm still entertained when watching it but this is so much better; from the costume, to the actor, the story and the loss of those milky eye contacts.

Season Two could not come fast enough for me!

********************* SEASON TWO************************************

If I thought I loved Season One, that's nothing compared to how much I love this season.

Most of that is due to the addition of Frank Castle/The Punisher to the cast! Jon Bernthal is absolutely brilliant in this role and always stole the focus even from the lead and titled character.

There is a lot more action and stunts, if possible, a lot more blood and violence. It's refreshing to see that when a character gets hit and/or stabbed, that they actually bleed and bruise unlike in some shows where they don't show any signs of injury.

The show is still full of strong and interesting characters; whomever Marvel/Netflix has on casting is doing a spectacular job! Foggy is definitely the heart of this show even though he doesn't seem to have a huge storyline.

Karen Page on the other hand annoys the crap out of me! Not only is she an annoyed character, I'm stumped by how she seems to be able to go anywhere she wants and gets jobs anywhere without any accreditation or experience; she a secretary and yet gets to be in the courtroom and even worse, left alone with a ruthless killer.

In some moments of this season, Matt started to get on my nerves. Starting to become self- righteous and apparently switches between loving Karen and Elektra like the flick of a switch!

I can't wait to Season Three, The Defenders and The Punisher series. Netflix has done an amazing job with these shows and the characters.

While this isn't as good as Shaun of the Dead or Hot Fuzz, it's still an entertaining watch.

It has an awesome cast, Simon Pegg and Nick Frost are just amazing together as well as the newer additions, a great story and plenty of laughs.

I did find Simon Pegg's character to be annoying at times, okay most of the movie, but was made bearable by the other four main characters.

Worth a watch at least once, I may watch it a couple of more times but not as much as I watch Shaun of the Dead or Hot Fuzz, the former being my favourite out of The Cornetto Trilogy followed by Hot Fuzz and then this movie.

It's a Disney movie so you can't really go wrong.

Awesome animation with lots of detail - even down to the littlest of things, that you would expect to come from a Disney film, with a great voice cast and also a good and enjoyable story.

There are some funny bits for both the kids and adults, also some jokes that the teenagers and adults will get.

I've read a few things about the similarities between this and Tangled, there are some but not enough that I would be calling this the winter version of Tangled.

Definitely worth a watch. Will be buying this on day of release!!!

Wow!

I have not one good thing to say about this show! Nothing was interesting to me; not the acting, not the story and not the characters.

The cast are annoying, especially Sean Hayes who just seems to be playing Jack McFarland 2.0!

It actually kind of angers me that a show like this is still on the air when plenty of better shows are cancelled in a short amount of time!!

Good news: NBC has cancelled the show after 14 episodes due to low ratings!!

When I first heard about this TV show and it's two lead stars; I was stoked! I'm a fan of 9 to 5 and of Lily Tomlin so to hear that she was going to star in a show with Jane Fonda, I was over the moon.

I was not disappointed!

Tomlin and Fonda are just brilliant in this both together and separately. The progression of their relationship throughout the show was awesome to watch as was the group scenes alongside with Martin Sheen and Sam Waterston.

Also deserving an honourable mention is Brooklyn Decker, June Diane Raphael, Ethan Embry and Baron Vaughn as the children of the two older couples, who give just as good performances as the lead stars.

I have to say, I wasn't as interested in watching the story of Sol (Waterston) and Robert (Sheen) as I was Grace and Frankie, I just always found my attention drawn to them.

The story is entertaining with plenty of charm and honesty, it's a good mix of comedy and drama and there is also surprisingly quiet a lot of swearing, even one c bomb!

The credits deserve a mention as well. I don't know what it is with Netflix but, along with Daredevil, they hire the right people to make an entertaining minute or so.

An awesome show that I can't recommend enough. I will 100% be tuning in to watch Season Two next year.

Fingers crossed for a guest appearance by Dolly Parton!

Does Rachael Leigh Cook ever age?

Wow! This is one awesome show!! Was not expecting that when I started watching it.

It has a great cast (notably McCormack and Cook) with equally as great and gripping story lines and even some moments where you are unsure if it's reality or imagination.

A great show and I highly recommend giving it a go.

************ SEASON TWO***********

There is something about this show, both seasons, that once an episode ends, I automatically have to watch the next episode and if I'm on my laptop, that usually get pushed to the side and ignored.

Still as good as Season 1, possibly even better with the addition of Scott Wolf to any already pretty good cast. The stories and crimes are still enjoyable to watch, interesting and not predictable.

As good as this show is to watch, much like Season 1, this isn't something I'd ever really need to watch again or to even own but I will watch future seasons.

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. (2013–2020)

Chappy Watched: Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D - Seasons 2 & 3
31 May 2016
Warning: Spoilers
I was excited to have AOS back again.

The big thing for me is the cast. Phil Coulson (Clark Gregg), May (Ming-Na Wen), Fitz (Iain De Caestecker) and Simmons (Elizabeth Henstridge) were still my favourites to watch. I found myself liking Skye (Chloe Bennet) and Ward (Brett Dalton) this season; I absolutely loathed them in Season 1.

Things were a lot more serious in this season. Coulson wasn't as funny and sarcastic as he was previously which I missed.

I also missed the team missions; there was a lot of individual stuff going on for each of the characters and no helping the little people; it was a lot of infighting.

I really liked the early scenes with Fitz and Ward. I actually believe that Ward is sorry for what he did and regrets losing them as a team and some as friends but as the season went on you get to see that Ward is kind of nuts!

In the second half of the season, I found myself getting annoyed with the number of teams on the show; SHIELD, real SHIELD, Ward/Agent 33 and the Inhumans.

I am definitely interested to see where the show will go with the Inhumans before the film is released.

I wasn't really fussed about the new agents on the show, Hunter (Nick Blood) being the only one I mildly liked but I didn't like how Trip (B.J. Britt) seemed to be downgraded a lot when the show came back for Season Two.

I love the set out that AOS has with Agent Carter; love having straight, uninterrupted runs before and after the midseason break.

Can't wait to see Season Three, especially after those last seconds of the finale!

********** SEASON THREE********

Out of three seasons of this show, this has to be the best one yet!

And most of that has to do with Fitz and Simmons having bigger roles for the first half of the season. You get to see a whole new side of Fitz and it's amazing!

All of it leading to Fitz and Simmons FINALLY getting together and being equally, if not more, adorable than before!

As well as the regular cast, who always seem to be on the ball with a mixture of drama and comedy, I did love the addition of Constance Zimmer as Rosalind Price and was devastated when she died. I do hope this is the last we see of Grant Ward; it would be very cheap if they somehow find a way to bring him back.

I cannot stand Lincoln; he's boring, has a repetitive storyline and can be pretty whiny. Needless to say, I'm not devastated about him leaving.

However, I was devastated when Bobbi and Hunter left, they were okay characters but that final scene was a massive tearjerker! Even though it wasn't picked up, I still 100% believe that the two of them wouldn't have been able to hold a show on their own.

I did like the addition of Inhumans to the show and look forward to seeing more and to seeing the movie, whenever it comes out!

I will most definitely be watching season four and am interested to see how the show will be set out without its midseason replacement, Agent Carter!

Hello Ladies (2013–2014)

Chappy Watched: Hello Ladies - Season 1

Hello who the hell let this happen!

Wow.

There are crap TV shows and then there's Hello Ladies.

The lead character is a pompous, self-centred douchebag! (Please note the effort that went in to using not all 'F' words!). I'm not a big fan of Stephen Merchant but I don't hate everything he does, but this might have to be his worst.

No mention worthy characters, no laughs but plenty of cringe worthy moments and awkwardness!

I would rather have my eyes stapled closed than watch another season of this!

I can see why this was nominated for a Razzie!

The only highlights of this film was Johnny Depp's Tonto, Helena Bonham Carter and the horse.

Luther's Ruth Wilson was awesome but it was kind of sad to see her wasted on this film, especially because I watched this not long after seeing her play a much more interesting and brilliant character in Luther!

I don't understand what the big deal about Armie Hammer is, don't think he is anything special. Plenty of better actors out there.

I wouldn't ever watch it again.

I knew nothing about this film until it was released but I liked Jack*ss so I thought I'd give this a go.

I loved it!!!

It is done by the Jack*ss guys so that gives you an idea of what to expect.

It's not as full on as the series and movies with all the bodily fluids but there is one scene with sh*t.

Both Johnny Knoxville and Jackson Nicoll (the kid) are awesome!!

Not much to say about this but if you are a fan of Jack*ss, then you will love this!

Would most definitely watch a sequel!!!

Chappy Watched: X-Men: Apocalypse
29 May 2016
Warning: Spoilers
I've loved the X-Men since I was a kid with the comics and the awesome animated series but I have a love/hate relationship with these movies. I love being in the universe but I hate the inconsistency and completely skewed timeline of these movies!

First and foremost, Apocalypse looked horrendous! Absolutely 100% sh*t! The design on his face was done poorly, his voice didn't fit the character, it looked like he was always sweaty and he looked like he was painted a different colour. At least characters from Marvel Studios like Ronan and Gamora looked like they were actually that colour!

Apparently Jubilee is supposed to be in this movie – could have fooled me! At no point is her name ever mentioned, she has only a couple of lines and never uses her powers! So very disappointing!

I was quite disappointed in Angel/Archangel, his timeline was ruined by this movie and also Psylocke, who felt like she was just in it to look pretty – never mentioned her name and we got no story at all.

Can we please just go one X-Men movie without Wolverine! All these little cameos that don't really serve much purpose.

There were good moments in this film, like the new additions to the cast, and bad ones too, namely Apocalypse!

It was awesome to see the Danger Room and to see the characters in costumes that seem to have gotten some inspiration from the original comic and cartoon versions.

I will watch it again, probably buy it on Blu-ray but I always have to wonder; what would Marvel Studios do if they had X-Men!

Chappy Watched: Bonnie & Clyde 2013 Mini-Series
28 May 2016
Warning: Spoilers
I've known some details about the history of Bonnie & Clyde but I have never watched any docos or movies on the pair.

The story was really entertaining and has a pretty good cast. Bonnie was starting to annoy me towards the end, her need to be famous nearly getting them caught and getting people hurt.

I found the end, where the car they were in is riddled with bullets and I mean RIDDLED, to be very over dramatic and almost like the scene in Predator where Arnie and his men are wasting half their ammo on an invisible enemy.

It was a good watch but it won't be something I would probably watch again.
