"Colors" is not a perfect movie but it has a lot of good stuff in it to make it worth the watch. Its locations are great. The cast is very good. Both Sean Penn and Robert Duvall deliver strong performances. The supporting cast is also very good. Unfortunately, the script kind of lets the movie down. The first hour is very good but after that the screenwriters lose their way. Maria Conchita Alonso's character is really good, at first, but at the end of the day, she's kind of pointless. Another problem is director Dennis Hopper tends to let his scenes go on too long. Even the good ones. Still, "Colors" is worth watching.
I've seen a lot of Lifetime movies. They are what they are. Some aren't the greatest but most of them aren't really that bad. Not only is "Anna Nicole" a great Lifetime movie, it's a great movie, period. "Anna Nicole" is filled with cleavage. Some of it might have been movie magic but who cares. It still looks great. Anges Bruckner looks great too. Bruckner is not only easy on the eyes she also gives a terrific performance. She should have been nominated for an Emmy. The rest of the cast is also very good. I plan on watching "Anna Nicole" again. (I watched this movie on the Lifetime Movie Network.)
Terence Hill, who also directed, and Bud Spenser are both in fine form in "The Fight Before Christmas" (that's the title under which I saw this movie). The movie looks great and has a good, if not so original, story. Hill and Spenser's supporting cast has quite a few familiar faces in it. You can't beat Ruth Buzzi as the boys mother. My only gripe against "The Fight Before Christmas" has to with its length. It's too long by about twenty minutes. Closing in on two hours is way too long for a silly movie like this. Even though this a silly movie, I laughed quite a few times. (I saw this movie on Youtube.)
