Curb Your Enthusiasm: Beloved Aunt (2000)

This Show Keeps Getting Better
16 April 2023
It's my first time seeing this show and I feel like every episode I watch improves on the last. Sometimes the situations Larry gets in can be a little contrived but it's all for the sake of a good joke, and I haven't felt like something "hasn't worked" yet. Well this episode fires on every cylinder in the realm of humor cohesion. From the get-go he is adjusting the room temperature at the memorial for Cheryl's aunt, and the way it's filmed and edited is just perfect. I actually think this show hits the ground running as far as a first season; I've only seen select clips from future episodes so I can't speak to how much stronger they are than this beginning, but as far as first seasons go I think CURB is winning.

Great Comedians Honoring The Great Comedians
24 May 2022
This induction is really special for several reasons: I'm glad that Jon Stewart got to talk Carlin because that is always a joy to witness- I'm glad John Mulaney promoted and encouraged the same love and happiness that Robin Williams' comedy was wrought with- Chelsea Handler speaking truth and not making me roll my eyes was new for me and I enjoyed it very much, and I have never been happier to see Chappelle on stage surmising a man of true importance. If you love comedy and the history of comedy like I do, this is a treat. If you love seeing honest people lay down their pride in honor of the great figures that paved the way, then this is it. If you love Pete Davidson, well then maybe you'll like this special even more than I did.

Great episode. Remake of 'Magnolia' though?
12 January 2022
Has anybody noticed that this is credited as a remake of P. T. A's movie 'Magnolia'? I can't think of a single reason why. Maybe because of the first letter in both works being 'M'... but then why is the movie 'M' not credited as a prequel? I don't understand.

Buster! You can't do that on the balcony buddy?

This was made by Denis Villeneuve. This fact alone leads me to believe that this is a well crafted cinematic experience.

But those drums man.

King of the Hill: What Makes Bobby Run? (2000)

Dang ol' Great Episode
3 February 2021
"What Makes Bobby Run" starts off with one of my new favorite jokes of the show, where Connie says the PTA has banned 8th grade polls for the year book because the "worst dressed" kid last year turned out to be really poor.

Second, I feel that every person featured in the episode has at least one line that totally solidifies how funny their character is- Dale's "That goes in my big book of: So-There's" being one of my favorites.

Anyways I'm no good at reviewing- I just think it should be said that this episode is hilarious.

A perfect video
13 July 2020
As a young child, my grandmother, a dancer (or more specifically, a classically trained ballerina), would show me this video and no less than cry from laughing every time. I didn't understand what was so funny. I honestly think I still don't. But from watching Spike Jonze's big productions like Her, Being John Malkovich, and The Beastie Boys Story, making the connection that is Spike Jonze makes more sense than anything else in this world. The artistic value is always priceless with Jonze, and Praise You is a perfect reminder of that. Dancing - 10/10. Crowd control - 10/10. Song - 10/0.

The best musical number this show has
11 January 2019
Bobs Burgers never skimps on it's creativity. Even if the plot is mundane on , the episode will be entertaining because of the excellent writers. In this 100th episode of the show, Bob gets glued to the toilet on the same day he is due for a big interview with a magazine, and the product is one of the catchiest musical numbers I have ever heard. Good job fellas

The Greatest Animated Movie Of All Time
21 May 2018
This movie is all about the classic 50's comic book story line. The big, misunderstood killer robot sent from who knows where comes to earth for who knows why and meets a young boy interested in scary movies and superhero comics.

Im not going to write out the plot, so all someone who hasnt seen this movie needs to know is that it is near perfect, and is timeless beyond its years.
