I am primarily a classic horror/sci-fi/suspense fan, but also watch more current movies in the genre on occasion. Although not a film maker, I've seen hundreds and hundreds (likely thousands) of horror movies and was alive when a lot of the films I'm reviewing were made. I feel that allows me to put them in the proper context. Seeing as many horror films as I have, I'm likely a little bit harder to please than some others might be because I have so many to compare them to.
I think my reviews will primarily be geared toward the horror fan rather than someone who knows how to make films and can soundly judge them in that regard. I have, however, found myself making comments about audio, cinematography, and soundtrack on occasion, especially if they are obviously bad or done really well.
I sometimes watch movies outside of the genre and will review those too if I feel I have something constructive to say.
Thanks for being interested in my bio!
