Code Black: Second Year (2016)
Season 2, Episode 1
9/10
Season 2 is just as good as Season 1
29 March 2018
I was definitely holding my breath when CBS took their time announcing whether there would be a season 2. I was a little put off initially when the cast changes were announced - not being a big fan of Rob Lowe's prior work - but his Ethan Willis character is excellent.

As the wife of a military retiree, I've met the "Willis' " who buck the system and break the rules for quality patient care. It is rare when a fictional character elicits a sense of respect from me. It is well worth your time to at least give it a try. There is a big pay off in the second half of the season, too. I am still so in love with the show.

Code Black: The Son Rises (2015)
Season 1, Episode 9
10/10
Episode 9
29 March 2018
Episode 9 - no spoilers, but turn off the phones, computers, and tablets. Put the "Gone Fishing" sign in the front window and do not forget the tissues when you sit down and watch. I usually give new shows a season to get my interest - to make a story that thoroughly engrossed me - but Code Black had me by episode 3 of the first season.

This episode is likely one of the most powerful of the series. This episode is likely the single most emotional of the first season. I was glued.

The moments between Jesse and Leanne were so emotional. I love their friendship so much and I am so invested in Leanne's story. She is so strong and beautiful. My heart aches for her and my heart is so heavy watching her go through this on her own...or so she thinks she is.

You don't want to miss this episode. I promise.
