Night is a very dull, horribly filmed and horribly lit film of a guy performing torture and killings online for money.
He abducts a young girl (13 or so) to be tortured online. And thats the problem. I like the disturbing, shocking and crazy aspects of motion pictures but I like actual films with real characters and plots. This film is mostly a very young girl getting beat and cut up for the whole stupid film. Also this film is so horribly made on top of it that there are just parts with nothing going on. Just a dark screen. I admit I just foreword the film to the end. Its a load of first class junk.
Terrifier 2 (2022)
Solid enough sequel.
This film is so nasty there are reports of people vomiting and fainting at theaters. Well, I did not do either, but it is very gory and nasty indeed. Art the Clown is back for more vengeance and carnage as he stalks a girl, her brother and friends. Also he just likes to generally kill anyone else he meets. The deaths are very gruesome but one girl who gets brutalized so badly even got to me. Its a really nutty freakshow of a film that delivers on is nastiness but the one fatal flaw this has is that it really drags at a 2 hour and 18-minute run time. It just feels stretched for no reason. Chris Jericho and Felisa Roe have cameos.
Halloween Ends (2022)
Should Have Been Better
The bid daddy of Halloween horror is back, and its just OK sad to say. Looks like they tried something different with a new story involving a young man named Corey who had a child die (oddly pretty funny) under his care. Its not a bad story but its not really right for the conclusion to the Halloween saga. I kinda get what they were trying to do. Its like how the evil of Michael lives on through other means in the town. Either that or they did just a lousy job on this film. However, it does get really good in the last 15 minutes. Pretty late in the film to show what we have been waiting for though. Its a disappointing but watchable film.
Spirit Halloween (2022)
Spirt Halloween The Store: The Movie
Well its a film based on the ultra cool Halloween store. Its alright but visiting the actual store is much more fun. Its about 4 kids who get themselves locked in the store after hours on Halloween. Not sure why they dont just break a window to get out when trouble starts. The spirit of a evil Christopher Lloyd possess the store items and tries to get the kids. Basically it looks like a big ad for the store but the store (although looks cool) lacks because the big name horror properties are nowhere to be found. However Night of the Living Dead plays on TV but that film is public domain. Rachael Leigh Cook plays the mom. She is still all that!
God's Not Dead 2 (2016)
Awful Film and Pathetic Sequel.
Gods Not Dead is one of if not the worst film I have ever seen. It was a mean spirited work of propaganda. Now here is Gods Not Dead 2. It still has the mean spirit to it but now its possibly even more ignorant.
The main plot involves a teacher named Grace who is being persecuted because of her faith as she answers a question about Jesus in her classroom. Who turned her in? We dont find that out. Grace and her lawyer fight back against the ACLU. This makes no sense because they would be on her side. Why are the ACLU the bad guys here and why do the film makers have a religious vendetta on them? We will never know. They try to prove the exitance of Jesus using authors of Christian books.
The side plots involve David A R White being a jury member and Amy who had cancer in the first film but now that its gone she doubts her faith.
Gods Not Dead 2 is not as bad as the first but its not too far off. Its ignorant and mean spirited. In acts like there is a war (in fact the word "war" is used) between atheists and Christians. Also it has a number to hate group in the end credits!
The Gathering (1998)
Very Generic Rapture Film
The Gathering is as plain and as generic as a rapture film can get. There is nothing clever in it at all. Its a very dull and horribly made film. Its involves multiple characters getting a glimpse of the Biblical rapture. It has one family being divided over the couples faith. This comes off as very troubling and mean spirited. I dont get the appeal of films like this. Its a poorly written film to scare people into joining a certain religion. Most of the characters just argue back and fourth and the outcome is just so incredibly predictable. Also it has visions of the future but nothing really new or interiting happens then either. It also contains a atheist professor much like another awful faith film called Gods Not Dead. Another film series like this is Left Behind. I like to try out faith films but I think they are far better with a positive look on life. This is just a way to freak people out. Its so glum. Another very generic rapture film with two sequels and a even worse remake. Its as plain and dull as a film can get. Is there anything positive I can say about The Gathering? No I can not. Its a depressing propaganda film. Besides its just a scare film.
Gone in the Night (2022)
Winona deserves better.
A womans boyfriend goes missing after spending a night in a cabin with another couple. I really did not like this film. Winona Ryder is the lead but the film treats her (or her character rather) as a old and rather unattractive woman. I thought she looked beautiful in this film. I was surprised she was in this crappy film.
The Lawnmower Man (1992)
Enjoyable but flawed.
The story involves a doctor who specializes in virtual reality finds a new subject. His lawnmower man. He takes him from being slow to being a genius and then it goes too far.
I seen this film before in both Theatrical and Director Cut versions. Its a entertaining and inventive horror/science fiction film. However it does have its flaws. I normally hate the term "dated" but the effects in this film are just that. Not that it bothers me or anything, Im fine with the way it looks. Plus the third act gets crazy. Still its a enjoyable film.
I really hated this movie.
I was looking forward to seeing this new found footage horror film called Dashcam. I seen a lot of awful found footage films but I do like the sub genre. The Blair Witch Project is a favorite of mine. But this film disappointed me to the highest degree. So much so that not only the worst films I seen so far this year but one of the worst films in general I have seen in a while.
The film is about a blogger named Anna. She has to be the worst protagonist ever. She is extremely annoying, rude and has the vocabulary of a dirty minded teen. Its also a thing that she is a strong anti liberal and a Trump supporter. Is there some kind of political message here? If so it was heavily lost. Anna visits her friend in London who is works as a delivery driver. Anne goes out on a food delivery herself and instead of a delivery she gets paid to transport an elderly woman to some location. I dont recall them saying where they were going but they stop at a dinner because the old lady defecates all over the back seat. And they get pretty close up on the fecal matter. After that the film is a total mess of running around, yelling, chases and just random nonsense.
There is not a shred of redeeming value in this film. Its not scary at all. It extremely annoying. Its really gross and not if a fun horror film kind of gross, its a spit/puke/urine/feces kind of gross. And thats coming from me! And I liked The Human Centipede films. At least its short. Minus the credits and end credit scene the film only clocks in at 68 minutes.
Hellraiser: Bloodline (1996)
Not near as good as the first films.
I love the first 3 Hellraisers but part 4 is where they start to get bad. While Bloodline is not a bad film its a very disappointing one. The timeline plot is creative but not so much for a Hellraiser film. I would like to see a Directors Cut of this film since the Dimension seemed to have butchered the original version and it shows.
Escape the Field (2022)
Six people are trapped in a field. They have items to help themselves. Its a interesting concept but the film is pretty dull and confusing. Plus it makes little sense.
This one is a short. A crazed killer tries to kill a guy with his chainsaw that he cant get going. Hes no Jason Voorhees or Leatherface. Not bad. Nice to see once.
Somebodys There (2015)
This movie sucks. The dialog hes a bunch of guys with strong accents go on and on. I could not make out anything they were saying. Its just a lot of that really. Then some killers in pig masks come by to off them. Its terrible.
Weasels Rip My Flesh (1979)
This film was made in 1979 but it has the look of a modern film trying to look like 1979. Its a ugly boring mess. No fun at all. Best to see any other horror film.
American Slasher (2014)
I usually dont like the word 'Corney' but I think this film just tries to be. Its a not too good slasher film that really makes no sense, but I seen worse.
Sick and Bigoted
Mainly this awful show is a bunch of bigots hating on people for being white. Thats it mostly. Not sure why in this day and age this kind of hate still exists. Its sad. Its sick. Its racism. Its this unbelievably awful show.
Extremely Racist Junk
With a 1.1 on IMDB I was curious to check out this Showtime show. Its about race. There are ways to talk about race and skin color but the way this show does it is sick. Its a very bigoted, racist and disgusting show. It hates on white people. No one should be treated or talked to like this. This show is like a bully. I cant believe this trash was made. Do people actually like this crap? Why would anyone want to be involved with this show? Its garbage like this is what keeping bigotry alive and well. Sad stuff.
Amazing Ape (2016)
For those who dont know me well I am always on the look out for extremely bizarre, crazy weird films. I found many over the years like Loving the Bad Man which is a film where a woman befriends and cares for the man who raped her, Cries of the Unborn a film that actually defends abduction and Accidental Activist the film made by a hate group. Now I come across a film that may be one of the craziest of em all. Its called Amazing Ape from 2016. On the surface it looks like a silly but simple family film. But its a extreme propaganda piece.
The film is about a young boy who has a rare form of cancer and has 3 weeks to live. Eventually he befriends a ape named Simon. So what is so crazy about this film? The film has a agenda against many things but the oddest one is that this film heavily opposes any kind of cooked foods. Its a propaganda piece for totally raw foods. One of the messages in this film is that cancer can be cured by doing yoga and having a raw food diet. And in the film it works. The film also opposes toothpaste and shampoo. No joke. The alternative to shampoo is honey. The kid eventually makes a full recovery.
So there we go. Amazing Ape is a film that teaches parents that cooked food is awful for your kids as is toothpaste and shampoo and if your child has cancer its most likely your fault and If someone has cancer it can be easily cured by yoga and raw foods. Its crazy and it deserves a spot on not only my craziest films list but also on my worst 100 because there is nothing remotely positive here. Im pretty surprised two of the actors in this film are pretty well known. Jessica Morris (from many TV and horror films) and Richard Tyson from Kindergarten Cop.
In the Blink of an Eye (2009)
I hated this film so much.
Probably one of the worst films I have ever seen. I felt depressed after watching this junk. It stars Eric Roberts and David A .R. White. Its like a end of the world version of Groundhog Day. A man wakes up every morning on vacation to have the world end. Nothing interesting happens. It just goes into preachy garbage. Plus this film treats the end of the world as a positive thing. Its boring as hell, horribly written and horribly annoying. Plus theres a message at the end of the film that contracts the whole awful movie! Despite the 4.6 on IMDB this has many 10 votes. Ugh.
Nothing great but watchable.
Well with the Bruce Willis films winding down Im still seeing what work he has just done. This one is called Vendetta and it also stars Mike Tyson and Thomas Jane.
And the thing is...its not that bad really. I mean its far from great but its the best film Bruce Willis has been in in years. I give it a 5/10. Most of his newest films I gave a 1 to 3 rating. Its a basic vigilante film much in the spirt of Death Wish. A young girl is murdered by a gang member and her father decides to kill him instead of testifying against him. That gets the whole gang angry and they go after him.
Time Changer (2002)
One of the worst movies I ever seen.
Im not sure how Time Changers is not looked upon as one of the craziest and overall worst film ever created. Its a dumb, morality tale that knows no morals. Its about a man in 1890 (though his colleague who helped build a time machine) travels back to the early 21st century. He cant bring anything back though but one would think he would use this power and tech to help people and mankind. Nope. He just goes to the future and get offended. Thats it.
Time Changer is such an odd and awful film. Its a time travel film that does not look on how great the future can be. Look at the way we help people though modern medicine for one. Perhaps gain some useful knowledge and bring that back with him. He does not. He just gets offended on how people go to church not as much, movies say naughty words and show violence and you cant preach in schools. Like how he sees a film in the theatre and goes crazy because they "blaspheme". That could be a funny scene but the film sides with censorship. Another scene the protagonist gets offended that there is kissing on TV. Even if you hate the things he does again he looks at no positives.
Another thing the film did not address was how woman and people of other races have rights and are equals. A man from the 1800s would address or be at least a little shocked by that. But no clever writing is allowed with this film.
Time Changer is a frustrating propaganda piece that left me feeling hollow and angry. I truly feel its one of the worst films I have ever seen. We were not better in the 1800s. Granted things may not be perfect now but we are better off. Movies like this are just laughable and anger inducing. Only to be seen to laughed at.
First off the humor in this film is really cringeworthy to say the least. Debunking Evolution is not a film looking for actual truth but its just religious propaganda that really does not prove anything. It does not want to think for ones self its a film that wants you to think the way of the filmmakers religion.
Generic modern Bruce Willis flick.
Bruce Willis is the bad guy this time. Its like a Die Hard-ish film where one worker on a Georgia power plant goes rouge and tries to save the day. Bruce spends most of his time sitting in a chair. One scene Bruce takes off his hat and it makes a suction sound. Now that made me laugh.
A Quiet Place Part II (2020)
Didnt Like It.
After a great opening scene I was pretty much just flat out bored with this follow up. This was a chore to sit trough. I was not for the first film either.
Wes Craven's New Nightmare (1994)
Wes Craven re-grooves the Nightmare franchise with a freaky new take on Freddy. A evil entity comes into the real world as Freddy Kruger. A clever take on a great horror slasher. One of Wes Cravens best!
