Title Song
3 January 2006
I can't get the title song out of my head; it is simply hilarious. I've taught myself the song on the piano, and find myself singing it at work:) It's like the ultimate redneck anthem.

My dreams are all dead and buried... Sometimes I wish the sun would just explode. And when the good lord calls me to his kingdom, I'll take all ya sons of b**ches when I go.

Does anyone know who wrote it or sings it? The credits roll too fast at the end.

I love the expression on Earlie Cuyler's face while Junior is bouncing the truck up and down. Oh my lord, how did Earlie Cuyler manage to have relations with that beached whale of an ex-wife of his?

My take on it...
3 January 2006
The number one attraction I had to this movie was Definitely the score.

The way the part was written for the walking blood clot took a heck of a lot more effort and interpretation than one would think. So the clot is sitting there, not making a sound and staring at you with those eyes for almost two hours. I'd be more freaked out in a room with something like that than with an aggressive, ranting serial killer any day. If anyone recalls Stephen King's "Storm of the Century"; the character of the demon Andre Linoge (Colm Fiore)does nothing more than sit as still as a statue in a jail cell for the first part of the movie. The way he stares at you with those eyes and that expression on his face is so hypnotic, it scares you more than any costume-shop mask would. The creators of Shallow Ground achieved the same effect with the teenage blood clot. When I first saw him appear in the film, he looked like the deer I had shot and skinned two months ago.

Disaster on the Coastliner (1979 TV Movie)
The Brake Application???
23 December 2005
Yeah, the air hoses had busted open when the engine uncoupled from the cars, so the train line brakes were useless. However, the hijacker didn't know enough to reach for the smaller engine brake handle above the train line brake? That would have stopped the engine; as well as the emergency fuel kill switch on the rear panel which is clearly visible numerous times. Should have done his homework before hijacking a train. Also, If you take a train traveling at 120 mile per hour, and send it sailing over a newly-welded, 30 yard crossover, guess what...it's not going to make it! Regardless, the movie was enjoyable -good story, good acting, and good use of trains! Oh, and who are they fooling with "Trans Allied?" It was Amtrak!
