Gilmore Girls: Happy Birthday, Baby (2003)
Paying Back the Debt
During this rather frustrating episode, Lorelei's father presents her with a cheque for $75,000, which she gives to her mother saying she has paid back all of the money she owed. However, it was clearly stated in the first season that the fees for attendance at Chilton were $50,000 per year. Over three years that equals $150,000 which is twice the amount.
This kind of detail missed and forgotten by the script writers is annoying, and it's not the first time. When Richard and Emily were disapproving of their daughter's plans to take Rory on a backpacing holiday, again, it had shown in an earlier episode that both parents were supportive.
Also Jackson's fiery rants are becoming old!
Jess lying and being rude to Luke is getting really stale. I'd like to see him turn over a new leaf so we can understand why Rory broke up with Dean to be with Jess,
The One That Got Away (2022)
A Refreshing Change
How nice to see a fresh, new approach to a reality dating show. It's so much better than the average themes we've seen before. The fact that all who walk into the venue are known to the person they came to meet, adds to the whole idea being conveyed.
This show is addictive. I had to binge watch all ten episodes once I started! The participants vary in personality, and most are likeable. Any tension is understandable, and comparitively, there is a minimum of drama.
I enjoyed the beautiful location for this season. The settings and foods were eye candy. All in all a great first season for this new concept.
Hustle: The Delivery (2011)
The last episode of "Hustle" available on NZ Prime Video
Looking forward to relishing the last available episode. I've grown fond of Mickey, Albert, Ash, Emma and Sean.
But I was disappointed that the storyline showed Albert reneging on a promise he made.
This was a sad day for me, as I really liked his character and felt very let down by that part of the script.
"Delivery" was cleverly written as usual. A surprise in the story was welcome, as it led to a brighter conclusion for all concerned.
My Life Is Murder: Look Don't Touch (2021)
Auckland's scenery was a star in this episode
I loved seeing The Domain, Museum and Auckland Harbour scenes. What a fabulous background to a good story.
This episode was of a higher standard, in my opinion.
Looking forward to seeing future offerings.
Wellington Paranormal (2018)
Disgusted with the very first scene
I tuned into this On Demand and was disgusted that within a minute a wahine is shown projectile vomiting green bile out on the street.
If this is the so-called humour, I don't like it at all.
All Saints: Never Forget (2003)
Melodramatic
It's a pity that as All Saints has progressed, the story lines have become quite implausible at times.
Top End Wedding (2019)
Re: Alan Rickman is not in the movie
Alan Rickman is listed in the lesser roles. The reason for this - he is the voice of Hans Gruber (archive footage) That is why you didn't see him - angelesoribe
Wild Weather (2014)
An Excellent Series
Recently, I watched the four episodes on Freeview. It was very interesting to see how three main elements - wind, water and temperature - play a part in manifesting our daily weather. All of the contributing experts were engaging, clearly absorbed in their chosen profession. It's well worth viewing this easy to understand scientific series.
