The Thief, His Wife and the Canoe (2022)
A story of emotional manipulation
I was intrigued by the trailer of this show, I'm not usually one for mini-series' made by ITV but this one caught my eye. The thought of seeing Eddie Marsan as a lead character is what peaked my interest.
The acting is superb, Monica Dolan gives one of the best performances, I have ever seen. It's an almost-perfect mini-series that kept me engaged throughout every scene. There was never a scene that felt unnecessarily included.
I'm happy that I went out of my way to watch this series, and I hope more people find out about it in the future.
Doctor Who: Orphan 55 (2020)
Benayyyyyy
Doesn't sound like my Benayyyyyyyy
I used to really look forward to watching this show, now I would feel embarrassed to tell someone I'm watching the episodes now. I feel sorry for the kids who grow up having Jodie Whittaker as their first doctor (the writing of her episodes, with a good script she could be good)
Unbelievable: Episode 1 (2019)
Has Big Potential
A fast-progressing first episode which is both gripping and leaves audiences to question what they are watching.
13 Reasons Why: If You're Breathing, You're a Liar (2019)
Interesting Second Episode
This season looks like it has potential to be far better than the second season. Although this episode is not as strong as the first, it manages to focus on the storylines of a range of characters all in one episode. There are some political influences in this episode, which may come to displease some of the audiences.
Doctor Who: It Takes You Away (2018)
Worst Episode This Season
This episode was just plain awful. The writing was laughably poor. "Can I just say I love my sonic". One of many times this season the sonic screwdriver has been bigged up for merchandise sales. The acting was at its worst for sure. Clearly this episode was written for new audiences as all these elements have been used before and explained such as in "Rise of the Cybermen" and "The Big Bang".
