INSPIRATIONAL
18 February 2020
And Then We Danced is a great film, I enjoyed it. But honestly, I find it a bit overrated. We learn a lot about Georgian culture. On the other hand, there is nothing creative. Story is so simple and usual. For me, this movie is valuable but not as much as people say.

GREAT SEQUEL
18 February 2020
Mike Flanagan made a brilliant job on Doctor Sleep. His situation was so hard. He had to create a film which must respect both Kubrick's and King's legacies. And I think he made it properly. Of course nobody was expecting a deepness just like The Shining has, but I loved the movie!

DELIGHTFUL MASTERPIECE
18 February 2020
Palme D'Or winner Winter Sleep is one of the masterpieces from the filmography of Nuri Bilge Ceylan. Winning that award means a lot, I get emotional every time I watch the video of ceremony. Film is so epic, powerful and meaningful.

RISE OF THE LEGEND
18 February 2020
Distant is an excellent movie. I think it is one of the Nuri Bilge's bests. I'm just in love with that movie. I can see myself in characters. Incredible storytelling. I feel lucky for having privilege of experiencing it on the big screen.

COUNTRY STORIES GOES ON
17 February 2020
Nuri Bilge Ceylan's second feature film, a sequel to Kasaba. It shocked and impressed me in the final act. When I look at it now, it really shows what Ceylan can do in future.

A MILESTONE FOR THE HORROR GENRE
17 February 2020
The Shining is one of the best films I've ever seen. I'm just in love with that masterpiece. Kubrick's vision, King's characters, Nicholson and Duvall's performances, the cinematography and atmosphere... This movie is just flawless. It becomes better in my mind every time I see it.

THE BIRTH OF A LEGEND
17 February 2020
Kasaba is the feature film debut of Nuri Bilge Ceylan. I think that movie is not one of the best films of Ceylan, not even in my top 5. But when I look at Kasaba, I can clearly see how great and skillful he is. That's a delightful piece of filmmaking.

BRILLIANT EXPERIENCE
28 January 2020
Ford v Ferrari absolutely deserved an Oscar nomination for Best Film. I think it is one of the best movies of Mangold. Just loved that movie, it has an amazing visuality and sound editing. Bale and Damon made great jobs too. I wish Bale would nominated for Oscar. He deserves, such a talented actor.

GREAT PIECE OF CINEMA
28 January 2020
Pain and Glory is a very personal film of Almodovar and it is such a enjoy for people who really loves cinema and who wonders about directors' life. Also, film becomes just more great with the performance of Banderas.

MASTERPIECE
28 January 2020
I think Once Upon A Time In Anatolia is the best film of Nuri Bilge Ceylan. It is a brilliant masterpiece which can change people's perspective of cinema. Also, it is one of the best films of 2010s, internationally. Long live Ceylan!

WEIRD
21 January 2020
2 Arada was great. That film has a point too but it sucks on important points of filmmaking. Also, it is not that funny when we compare it with Yilmaz's other projects.

THAT'S SOMETHING ELSE
21 January 2020
Lots of people says Cem Yilmaz screwed up on Karakomik project but I liked the concept. 2 Arada is a powerful movie. It was fun. I really support Yilmaz about what he is trying to do on this one.

NOT THAT BAD
21 January 2020
Everybody says The Incredible Hulk is the worst part of MCU. Yes, everything is not okay with that movie but it is not that bad. In my opinion, Ed Norton is a great Bruce Banner. Also I like watching him next to Liv Tyler. I think that movie could have more potential if filmmakers would lend an ear to Norton's ideas.

WHAT AN EXPERIENCE
21 January 2020
Palme d'Or winner Parasite is a masterpiece by Bong Joon Ho. That movie is so skilled. Screenplay is amazing, I think it is best original screenplay of 2019 next to Knives Out. It takes you inside of it at the beginning and then you can never leave. Cast made an incredible job. Actually I can't find any bad things to say about Parasite. It is great.

NOT SO MUCH FUN
21 January 2020
Cinayet Susu is worse than Ali Atay's previous film: Olumlu Dunya. I want to compare them because they are both made by same people, they both are crime-comedies, they both are about a group of people. This ones cinematography and production design is better. But that's it. There is no such developed characters. There are just some guys who are trying to be funny, making humor and leaving the curtain. Story has something to tell, there is an idea behind all that comedy but that idea just comes at the finale and until that sequence you see nothing valuable. On the other hand, there is a scene which is incredibly funny: Chat sequence. It is on YouTube and I watched it like a hundred times after I saw the movie. It is awesome.

EGGERS WON OUR HEARTS
21 January 2020
No doubt, The Lighthouse is one of the most underrated movies of 2019. Robert Eggers has made a brilliant job. Pattinson and Dafoe are insane in leading roles. Film has an incredible aura which makes you scared, makes you think and makes you laugh. It is a really skilled movie. On the other hand, The Lighthouse won just 1 nomination at Oscars. That's so sad because it deserves at least 5 nominations. Best leading actor, best supporting actor, best director, best cinematography, best sound editing... I hope it will win an Oscar for cinematography at this point.

COULD BE BETTER

Storyline is a bit different thank comic which is not so bad. Animation quality is not satisfying, especially when we think it has released in 2016.

SHOW GOES ON
21 January 2020
Making a sequel for Incredibles is not easy, that's why it took so long. I really respect Brad Bird for waiting because of perfectionism. Incredibles 2 is a very fun movie, both for children and grown ups.

SWEET, CUTE AND SATISFYING
28 December 2019
Tyler Nilson and Michael Schwartz made a brilliant job on this. I think Peanut Butter Falcon is the most underrated movie of 2019. It is funny and heart breaking. I was cried while I was laughing hardly at the ending of the movie. Also, film gives some great ideas to audiences about people who has Down syndrome. Story and atmosphere is so cute and enjoyable. On the other hand, cast made an amazing job, especially Zach Gottsagen and Shia LaBeouf. With its everything, The Peanut Butter Falcon is a satisfying travel adventure and one of the best movies of this year.

THIS PUTS A SMILE ON MY FACE
28 December 2019
It looks like Todd Philips has decided comedy is actually dead and he went in a new way of filmmaking. Joker movie is an amazing idea of his; take the famous villain who is an unsuccessful comedian -I think he know how someone fails in comedy- write a sad, traumatic, epic origin story for character with Scott Silver, get some inspiration from Scorsese's films, go to Warner Bros. and take some serious money, convince an amazingly talented actor for that role... With all that material, a visionary director can make an incredible art house/comic book movie and that movie can be one of the greatest ones of its year. Winning Golden Lion from Venice is a huge achievement. Also; if Joker wins some Golden Globes or Oscars this year, I wouldn't be surprised. Especially Joaquin Phoenix deserves as leading actor. He was brilliant.

"THE KING"
27 December 2019
King of Comedy is such a cult movie, and it has serious reasons to be. Yes, it is not Scorsese's best movie, maybe not in top 3 or maybe even not in top 5. Actually that shows how a great director he is. Movie has amazing characters, great humor and creative story. It was worthy to see it when it has released, it is worthy to see it now and it will be worthy to see it for ages.

AN ABSOLUTE CLASSIC
23 December 2019
What a masterpiece, what a beautiful piece of art, what a way of storytelling, what a character, what a performance by De Niro... I easily can understand why everyone thinks Travis Pickle is one of the best characters ever written in cinema history. Taxi Driver explains to cinephile what does "character study" mean and how should it be done. 34 year old Scorsese put his vision on this and made possible every movie he did until today. Also, he inspired lots of storytellers and will inspire for ages.
