Everything Everywhere All at Once (2022)
A beautifully made movie about love
Definitely one of the most well crafted movies I've ever seen!
A movie that requires your 100% attention at all times as it's jumping between two languages and although it's themes are simple and very human in nature the way that the film makers chose to communicate them are very complex and hard to understand, which in my opinion makes this movie a cinematic masterpiece. Furthermore, the acting was impeccable and the directing and cinematography are diverse and interesting, having been inspired by numerous Asian and European films !!!!
The film might be concealing it self as action with numerous amazingly filmed fight scenes and themes as a multiversal threat but at its core it's a movie about love and the complexity of human relationships. The relationship between a parent and their child, between partners, in laws and most importantly the one one has with himself!
Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021)
Best Marvel project yet
It was a beautiful, fun yet heartbreaking movie. The action scenes were to the point and the chemistry between all three spider men was outstanding. My only critique would be that May's death was unnecessary. I mean he is already an orphan and has already lost Tony so idk it seemed a little bit meh. But overall the movie was visually appealing and the script was very interesting with Willem Defoe once more giving an amazing performance as the green goblin.
The Suicide Squad (2021)
A pleasant surprise
I watched the first movie when I was younger and I was very veeery disappointed. BUT this movie was AMAZING, I especially enjoyed the James Gunn's direction and I would go as far as say this is his best work. Also I was amazed by Idris Elba's acting and of course Margot Robbie was once more phenomenal. Lastly, the CGI were very good quality, the characters well developed and well played and the costumes were much better than the previous movie. Overall it's a great adventure / action/ super hero movie and you will certainly enjoy it provided violent and splatter scenes are your cup of tea.
The Babysitter: Killer Queen (2020)
Definitely better than the first one
Even though it was significantly better than the first film I was a little bit cringe and some could say that the portrayal of black characters is a bit offensive and stereotypical. Other than that it was a decent movie to watch on a boring Friday night.
