Love and Monsters (2020)
More than expected...
What a wonderfully entertaining and fun film this is. Great writing, likeable characters, solid world building and no agenda apart from that of hope and a spirit of adventure.
The movie handled the emotional and comedy elements very well. In the movie, the journey of the character and his spiritual and emotional development in this journey are very well explained to the audience.
The film does have some exciting action sequences with them escaping from monsters and fighting back. The visual effects are great. The music score was good. The film does have a climatic battle on the beach with a giant like crab of a monster.
Dylan O'Brien did great playing the character. Adding emotional depth to his journey in reuniting with his love. After feeling isolated from losing his family. And being separated from Aimee. Michael Rooker and Ariana Greenblatt did good too. Jessica Henwick was also great playing in a brief role.
Scent of a Woman (1992)
The film is about colonel Frank Slade who lost the meaning of life. The film makes you think that the world around you is wonderful and you just need to find the right angle to notice it with its all colors. The protagonist, in spite of the psychological and physical suffering caused by his blindness, still found the way out. And the talented student of the Charlie College helps him with this. Afterward, the lives of these two persons changed and helped them to overcome all their problems.
This movie really showed how good an actor Al Pacino really is. He was so good in this movie and. This movie showed how you can overcome obstacles despite a certain condition you may have in this case blindness. I think this movie had a fantastic plot because it can inspire so many people who have disabilities and people who don't. I was certainly inspired from this movie. The complete manner in which Pacino inhabits this role is a stroke of studied genius: as a blind man his every physical and verbal movements are wholly convincing. There are many fine moments in this film, not the least of which is the famous Tango scene, or the confrontation between Charlie and Slade regarding a suicide plan. Pacino won Best Actor for his role and it is richly deserved.
The end of this movie, when the coronel is helping Charlie with some discussions and problems at School, is one of the most exciting scenes.
This is a film to cherish. Highly Recommended.
The Mule (2018)
A wonderful ambient experience!
A Clint Eastwood film is surely touching, and this is no exception. Tata forms a bond with the officer and with the viewers as well. I find the story well developed and well told. I enjoyed it a lot.
Black Mirror: The National Anthem (2011)
There are many bad reviews here because of what this episode is on the surface. Look at the regular people during the episode, they are making fun of the whole thing and seem to be enjoy the whole scandal up until a point. Look at that reporter who honestly did not care about the PM or the princess, she just wanted a story. Now compare that to the world we are living in. This episode is nothing short of a criticism of reality. It shows how the humans have become desensitized and borderline psychotic. This episode is the least about a man getting it on with a pig...
This episode has the great atmosphere and makes each paragraph sensational equally. It leads the audience to the climax successfully. But I think the describing to the turning point of the poll is too abrupt.
Movie got you hooked when the beach part starts, and you watch to the end..
The concept was interesting, but there are some loop holes too in the story.
Ready or Not (2019)
'Ready or Not' could just have been some random horror-hunt film, but the main reason to watch isn't anything to do with viewing a film that will scare you, but simply to entertain. And it does this using 'black comedy' at every turn. Yes, the family are evil murderers, but they're just so damn funny that you can't help but enjoy their performance. Plus Samara Weaving is excellent as the main character, proving that strong female leads can still exist without turning them into some sort of 'Mary Sue' trope.
This movie blew my mind. It is a slasher/gore film with the perfect amount of comedy. I will definitely recommend it.
What If...? (2021)
The show does have good potential, and the animation was great. It was interesting to see this different angle. It presents different types of scenarios in front of us.
I liked the the concept, it was something fresh from marvel! Some episodes were awesome with great action and story. Well, there were some fails too, such as tony and killmonger episode. They didn't treat well to iron man that's for sure!!
The watcher and Dr strange were the most interesting thing in the show in my opinion!
Some people just stay too much to details and don't appreciate the general concept, it's a sci fi, anime show.. So just relax and enjoy!
Can't wait for season 2.
NOT TOO GOOD - NOT TOO BAD
We have another MCU project that ends with another big battle to save the world, but this time the whole multiverse. Pretty typical for Marvel at this point, but it's what a lot of the fans like and I will admit that it was quite entertaining.
All the way to reach this moment was awesome, but in my opinion, this could have been better. I mean Ultron Killed Thanos in three seconds but could not fight better against this team? Ultron have been the final boss in Marvel so far, and I think they defeated him so easily.
Well, at least we got a decent ending so we can summarise this show.
Mind-Blowing twists and turns...
Mcu at its best. They have used multiverse in the best way possible and the twists in this universe are mind blowing.
With a fight scene that is probably one of the Marvel Cinematic Universe's best, the Watcher finally shines in the eighth episode of "What If" as he finally gets to do more than watching and narrating.
Man this episode... is just littt.
Best episode till now!!
I was hooked in less than 10 minutes
This episode had a much different tone than the other episodes so far. This one was dark, suspenseful, and very unpredictable. I won't get into too much detail because I don't want to spoil anything, but in this episode there was a twist and turn at every corner. Like I said, this episode was also dark, and might possibly have been scary to some younger viewers. But I personally really liked it, it was a nice change to Marvel, and I really hope Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness has the same feel to it. If it does, I think it might be one of the best Marvel movies.
A suspenseful thought provoking movie!!
It is full of suspense movie with beautifully written story and screenplay.
This is a pretty low-key movie with the other star, Bruce Willis, playing an extremely subdued role for him, almost too subdued. There are times in here when you keep waiting for him to say something, and he says nothing. Half the time he's barely audible.
But he and Jackson play off each other well, and this is very suspenseful film, even if a lot doesn't happen. To explain the story would almost ruin it, because it's preposterous.
"To live is to fight. To fight is to live."
This is a great Sci Fi film regardless of that budget as it feels like it has great production values.
I know what you already may think. This is another one of those low budget good for nothing movies. In fact, It is not. I had the same prejudice before I watched this one. I even watched it just to kill time. It turned out to be pretty decent with a good story line, nice acting and pretty good CGI. From time to time comes a movie that exceeds your expectation. Definitely worth my time and yours.
The Truman Show (1998)
The Truman Show Tries with its TV and Religious Allegories and it is also Magnificent Movie Making.
This is a funny, tender, and thought-provoking film. It is noteworthy for its remarkably prescient vision of runaway celebrity culture and a nation with an insatiable thirst for the private details of ordinary lives. Also,it has great performances from the cast especially from Jim Carrey in what may be the performance of his career.
Good morning, and in case I don't see ya, good afternoon, good evening, and good night! :)
Part 1 continuous the story where it left in previous movie, but i won't go into details here. If you liked first movies, you will like this one as well nevertheless it doesn't feature any games this time. It's all about revolution from now.
The acting and story really did a great job at bringing the struggle of the first two films to a tipping point. There were several well done emotional points and I felt the Gale character was very well developed. Liam Hemsworth did an amazing job with the role.
Jennifer Lawrence was once again awesome as Katniss.
Just a average show!
I really enjoyed watching season 1 but season 2 was really hard to watch.
The tv show starts out very interesting and has some great story telling, but towards the end of the show it gets over complicated, convoluted and silly. Some episodes are intense action packed, with amazing dialogue and the plot moves forward. Others, you have no clue what's going on in the action scenes, it sounds like fanfic, nearly every character is a marry sue, and you need to wait 3 episodes for the plot to advance anywhere. Also there are large chunks of this show that preach down to you, and even if you agree with the shows messsage it still gets tiring. The show has some amazing concepts and it had plenty of great episodes, but the hours of waiting around and forcing confit to of the run time hold the show back from being truly great.
Squid Game (2021)
Fantastic show. Hoping there will be a season 2.
This is a gripping, bingeable series. Without a doubt. It is fast-paced and builds anticipation throughout. Only minus was very bad VIPs acting.
I wouldn't exactly call myself a fan of the books, but I did enjoy Hunger Games, despite it's tweenie appeal.
Although movie was good enough to watch.
Free Guy (2021)
What a dope movie!!
This movie is all in one.
Free Guy is a movie that knows exactly what it wants to be: an action comedy that masterfully balances funny scenes to emotional moments.
However, this movie completely exceeded any expectations I had. The storyline is so well done and very engaging - great characters who you really care about. They make you laugh and smile, with some romance thrown in along the way! All the performances were brilliantly done and the comedy was just so well timed and actually very funny.
Fear Street: 1978 (2021)
This second movie is far better than it's precursor. Just introducing a few changes and focusing on being a slasher, gets a decent product. The vibe and feel for the late 70's was still a bit off, but not as much as Part 1. It was the little details that were missing, for example, where was the iconic BIG hair from the 70's? As for the music, it was a nice touch and used better throughout the movie.
The Protégé (2021)
The Protege does not herald in a new era of action films, but it is a wonderful complement to the current set of John Wick-esque movies out there now.
It is highly watchable and visually interesting action film that is probably best experienced in theaters.
The point of the movie was to entertain me, and it delivered. Although not an original story, it was executed very well. Maggie Q played the part well, Michael Keaton, although played well.
What a movie, man!!
"Warrior" may be one of the best movies that no one sees. That in itself is puzzling. Mixed martial arts and UFC are in the cultural mainstream.
On top of that we get a sports movie that gets you emotionally attached. You really feel for the two brothers and even the father for what they all had to go through in their lives that led them to this point. You even feel for the dead-beat dad who was able to turn in life around and you find yourself hoping he would be able to fix things up with his two kids.
Mr. Nobody (2009)
"Every path is the right path. Everything could've been anything else. And it would have just as much meaning."
This movie might not be perfect, but it is intellectually stimulating, visually stunning, moving and incredibly rich.
It is also confusing a bit.
Sense8: Happy F*cking New Year. (2016)
An Hour long episode stretched two hours, story is getting worse because when a character got into any trouble another come for his help so that's not a big problem.
IDK man, show makers should have figured it out, expect keep stretching it.
Sense8: I Can't Leave Her (2015)
After every ten minutes there's a scene which will get you goosebumps, never saw any show like that.
I loved this show.
Sun: "This is what life is.
Fear,Rage,Desire... Love" There are so many powerful dialogues in this show.
And fighting scenes are amazing though Completely loved this episode.
