PECHORIN
Based on the Russian classic novel. However, the plot of the film develops from just one phrase by Pechorin: “I am going to travel to Persia, maybe I will die on my way”… The film keeps all the plotlines of the novel, but they are put in retrospective, like memories of a dying hero about his life that he perceives, faced by an approaching death, as succession of uncorrectable mistakes. Images from Pechorin’s past make him laugh sadly at his hypocrisies and feel the pain and desperation from his own former indifference to everything and everyone except for himself…
