- A light hearted comedy, from the thirties. One of the most successful ones in Hungary. The ever enchanting story of a beautiful girl falling in love with a rich man.

But Gábor has his own wits. He sends his friend, Máytá Tavaszi, who happens to be a pharmacist, to replace him at his new job.

The family is not aware that Gitta and Sandor are already acquainted, as when Gitta's father bans Ferenc from his house, Sandor is the one who passes messages between the lovers. Ferenc becoming more aggressive in his advances towards Gitta but has to realize that she is a morally upright girl. Gitta finds Sandor more and more sympathetic and Ferenc less and less desirable. By the time the Hubay's give a party, Gitta and Sandor have already fallen in love.
- Set in the 1880's, Ferenc Kiss, a bandit, has had a long relationship with innkeeper Maria Lazar. The latter falls in love with Paul Javor, a mounted patrolman. But she knows Kiss will take some form of reprisal. Kiss attempts to kill Javor and Lazar, believing that he has, turns him over the the authorities.
- Count Sandor Vajk casts off a former lover, Olga Komarowska, who dies. Joe Selfridge, a magician, sets out to avenge the dead girl. He employs hypnotism, illusions and Vera, the sister of the dead girl, in an effort to punish Vajk, and gain retribution for the death of Olka. But, Vajk and Maria fall in love.
- Torday Henrik is a wealthy invalid on his deathbed but, when relatives start gathering like vultures, he decides to spite them and get well. In the midst of the celebration Mami Gasparne and her son, Kovacs, arrive from Texas, and upset the goings-on with their strange manner...including, one presumes, speaking Hungarian with a Texas accent. Since Kovacs is his nephew, Torday welcomes them as additions to the family and has a marriage arranged for Kovacs. But the real romance starts when Ilonka is hired to instruct Kovacs in the manners and customs of the country.
- The wasteful Ferenc Noszty gets into serious trouble when even his family can't help him pay back his debts. There seems to be no other way, so they find him a rich girl to marry.
