- The film explores a unique phenomenon in the history of the world - the 40-year-old war of supremacy between the Western World and the Socialist System. Based on many documents, archive footage, photos and analyses of processes in politics, warfare and ideological struggle, the history and the biggest events of the Cold War are traced. The end of the Second World War, the conferences of the winners, the local military conflicts, the armament race, the Berlin Wall, the spies on both sides, the border killings and the dropped passenger jets - are part of the events that we are entering into. Perhaps only the fear of the guaranteed nuclear fusion of the USA and the USSR helped the Cold War not to grow into a third World War. Against the backdrop of world events, we are also examining the Bulgarian events of the Cold War - perhaps not so large but also grim and incompatible with normal and decent human life. The script with pain and compassion tells of cruel dramas and humiliations, broken fates and destroyed lives for the sake of political and military triumph.
