- Clive and Ruth have moved, but Dave and Cath and Rob and Leone are taking part in a treasure hunt, organized by the enthusiastic Laurence and invite the visiting Daniel--who is surprised to find Chloe pregnant, not necessarily by him--to join them. Their competition comes in the form of Grace and Maurice and her grumpy mother Elsie but they have an extra ally in the lordly Marcus, whom Dave sees as an influential business contact. Unfortunately, Elsie dies and her body disappears, so Maurice and Grace plan to withdraw--leading the others to invite them to join their team. Grace wows Maurice at a karaoke session and puts pressure on Marcus to aid Dave's promotion hopes. Daniel drops out to be with Chloe when she gives birth, and Rob is exposed as ringing a mystery woman called Jackie. Overall, the Booze Cruise team might or might not have won the treasure hunt.

Grace is keen to scatter her mother's ashes on her beloved Yorkshire moors and Leone and Cath persuade Dave that they should accompany the couple and help them celebrate their 40th wedding anniversary. Rob also invites himself along--as does Jackie, to his embarrassment, while Dave agrees to deliver a family birthday present in Leeds on Marcus' behalf. When Dave prangs the van in the country, the women hitch a lift with a charming Canadian whom Grace attempts to fix up Leone when they reach their hotel, annoying Rob. The men arrive by hire-car but Maurice, in addition to having accidentally smoked cannabis thanks to Rob, has also lost most of the ashes and replaced them with gravel. Despite everything, the scattering goes ahead, Rob exposes Marcus as being less than scrupulous, and a marriage is saved.
