- Goopy, a dog of no particular personality, but a crackerjack piano player, plays several songs on the stage of a nightclub. We spend a fair amount of time watching the patrons and staff of the nightclub.
- Flip the Frog is the featured performer at an outdoor nightclub in the forest. His dancing and piano-playing please the crowd of critters.
- Flip, the owner of a dairy farm, wakes up one morning and goes to milk his cow. He has problems with a pesky fly who is eventually swatted by the cow's tail. Flip then takes the milk into town to deliver it. While in town, he encounters a bratty little kid who just won't leave him alone. Eventually Flip and the kid make up and become friends.
- Two courting hillbilly dogs go to the big barn dance.
- When the king returns to the castle, he is surprised to find that the queen is in the parlor and won't see anyone.
- Flip walks to school whistling as his dog follows behind.
- Christmas Eve. A poor orphan boy trudges through the snow, pathetically. He finally arrives at his miserable cabin. While he is crying, Santa arrives and, singing the title song, offers to take the boy to his workshop. They arrive, and the toys go wild (in the full version, they sing the title song, but this has been censored in some versions due to outdated stereotypes). He plays with a few toys. A candle falls off the tree and starts a fire. The toys try in vain to fight the fire; the boy hooks up a hose to a set of bagpipes and takes care of it.
- The Cuckoo Bird residing in an old clock in a creepy old mansion is shot dead by an unknown assailant; Flip the Frog is called in to investigate (and finds more than he bargained for).
- Flip the Frog finds himself in a house haunted by crazy skeletons.
- Flip and a turtle train for a boxing match. They have comedic problems with their training equipment. In the match, a parrot acts as the ref.
- Flip the Frog is a soda jerk who serves movie stars, but one of his concoctions changes an effeminate man into Mr. Hyde.
- Swans swim by; a peacock displays its plumage in glorious black-and-white while a passing duck jeers; assorted songbirds chirp; a woodpecker chases a caterpillar; a chorus of owls croons. A chicken goes after worms while ignoring her brood until a hawk circles. When the hawk captures one chick, the crows form an attack squadron.

- Willie Whopper tells a tall tale of his girlfriend being carried off by a Sultan and his efforts to rescue her.
- Willie Whopper dreams he has been lifted like a toy balloon into outer space.
- Flip schemes to get himself hired as an office boy at the Screwy Nuts & Bolts factory, especially because of the attractive typist. He starts well, using a cat's tongue to lick a stack of envelopes. Before long, the cat starts chasing a mouse around the office and causing more trouble than Flip or the secretary can handle. Her dress gets caught in the duplicating machine and removed. In all the confusion, the boss arrives, and even though Flip kills the mouse (after it lands on his head), he gets fired.
- Flip the Frog and his girlfriend are out for a walk when a magician begins to do a few tricks for him. Soon the magician oversteps his line and a fight breaks out.
- Willie tells his friend that he was once a cowboy.
- Willie is shining the shoes of a man reading the newspaper. The cover story is features a wrestler, inspiring Willie to tell a whopper about fighting the man and winning.
- Willie Whooper finds his girl Mary weeping because her mother is being hounded by the evil landlord who holds the mortgage on their house. Willie builds a plane and enters an air race in hopes of winning the prize money--but finds that the landlord is competing as well.
- Willie tells his friends that he was once a pilot in an air race.
- Willie Whopper, doused in reducing creme, shrinks to the size of a mouse and is chased by a cat throughout a house. Finally Willie returns to normal size and angrily covers the cat in reducing creme. The cat now shrinks to mouse size, and gets a black eye from the mouse he habitually torments.
- Flip the Frog wants to be a movie actor, but a guard thwarts his attempts to sneak inside a movie studio.
- Flip the Frog is trying to sneak out of an hotel without paying bill.
