- When the Earth is threatened by the evil Troobian empire, the SPD (Space Patrol Delta) police force recruits a team of Power Rangers to help defend the planet.

After his father's mysterious disappearance, Kit Taylor finds an Advent Deck and becomes Kamen Rider Dragon Knight. He joins forces with Kamen Rider Wing Knight to defeat the ten corrupt Kamen Riders that Xaviax sends against them. By fighting, the two hope not only to save the Earth from Xaviax's domination, but to find Kit's missing father and win back Ventara as well

But the task had its challenges. Upon arriving in mountainous Nagano, Sassa had to compete with freezing winter temperatures, conflicting opinions between the Tokyo Metropolitan Police and the Nagano Prefectural Police, as well as public opinion to gain entrance to the lodge that held the single woman captive.

- The culturally isolated, nomadic Seburi people of western Japan are the subject of this tragedy about a few of the community's members who especially experience difficulties as modern Japan encroaches on their world. The setting is World War II, and conflicts have already arisen when the military police come to take Seburi men away into the army. Still following their own customs that can be harsh at times, and are particularly cruel to women (women must give birth alone and unaided, a woman's adultery is punished by burying her up to her neck in the earth and then leaving her for days), the Seburi are mainly treated with fear and animosity by the non-Seburi townspeople of the region. Along with the hardships arising from cultural clashes, nature's own vagaries present other challenges to the Seburi -- who still lived in tents until the 1950s. Winter avalanches and snowstorms cause as much havoc as the tensions engendered by the slow encroachment of the modern world.
- Naka Riisa will play a 24-year-old woman named Mitsuko who is 9 months pregnant to an unknown father, but still puts aside her own problems to help others. Her character is described as having a deep sense of duty and humanity, traits which are getting less and less common in modern society. The hope is that Mitsuko's disposition will tug at the heartstrings of Japanese audiences much like the Tora-san character did through the Showa era. Nakamura Aoi will play Mitsuko's childhood friend, Yoichi.

Contrary to wimpish Minoru, Aki, who normally looks ladylike, is very strong at fighting, hence Aki has always protected Minoru from being bullied. Their dynamics remains the same into their high school years. Wanting to break out of this situation, Minoru starts going to a boxing gym run by Oki (Takao Osawa), whom he met by chance. However, Aki, who gets wind of it, is fascinated with boxing as well, and joins the same boxing club. Minoru feels depressed as he is again unable to break free of Aki's influence. Through boxing, however, Minoru realizes that he has been running away from Aki and not facing her properly until now.
