- The story behind the Irish rock band Thin Lizzy. Singer and bassist Phil Lynott died in 1986 in the aftermath of drug and alcohol abuse, but the band's music has lived on and received new versions by bands as diverse as The Cardigans, Metallica and Smashing Pumpkins. Being interviewed does, among other things, Gary Moore, James Hetfield, and singer Phil Lynott's mother about the charismatic effect the band had, and still has, on their fans.
