- THEYYA THEYYAM - 'Theyyam' can roughly be treated as there-incarnation of a soul. In the folk rituals of North Malabar dead war heroes are sometimes raised to the status of Theyyam. Thus Theyya Theyyam is the double incarnation of a soul.When Theyyam is being performed, the dead hero is usually elevated to the status of a God in the eyes of the villagers.
- It is a simple and heartfelt journey narrating the struggle of two characters, Seema and Dinkar. While Dinkar has just come out of prison, Seema lives in an open prisoners camp. She is a struggling Mehendi artist whose art is gaining popularity day by day. Initially Dinkar has big plans for himself. He has pursued his higher education in prison and has acquired multiple degrees. With his level of education he dreams of getting a respectable job and provide his parents a respectable status in the society. But the stamp of a prisoner on his identity, acts as a foil to his dreams. Everybody is impressed by his skill but nobody offers him a job. Even Dinkar's father advises him to skip that part of his life but this time he is determined to live truthfully. On the other hand, Seema who has already crossed the initial stage of her struggle is dreaming of starting a new chapter in her life where she aspires to provide her child the education that Seema always dreamt of and also pay for the treatment of her mother's illness. The struggle from having nothing to making a difference in the society has not been easy but she did not give up. When she is on the verge of entering her dream world, trouble trespasses upon her life. She feels that she will have to begin her struggle anew. Her days are filled with agony and nights with sleeplessness. Both of their stories end with a heartfelt message and give us a vivid insight into the struggling lives of the prisoners.
- Mahakavi Bhasa portrays in his classic work 'Karnabharam', the downfall of the mighty epic hero 'Karna', projecting the inner conflict that develops in him when he enters Kurukshethra to wage a crucial battle with the Pandavas.
- Natyashastra' is a class by itself. Sanjeev Sharma's fondness of the fine arts is delightedly presented in a form of this documentary with commentary of Padma Bhushan and Padma Shri recipients , scholars and many other veterans of Indian theatre, acting and performing arts.
- The instance shown in the film is from Gandhiji's life from when he was 13-14. He fell in bad company and started drinking and stealing. At one point, he realized that this wasn't right, so he decided to confess to his father. He didn't have the courage to do that, so he wrote him a letter, confessing to everything and asking for a suitable punishment. The message of this short film is that we all make mistakes but not everyone has the courage to own up to them. If we do that, our life becomes much better.
- KALIVESHAM - Nalacharitham, the famous Kathakali story has Nala as its protagonist who gets possessed of Kali, the evil character. The text of this play provides a context in which there is interaction of three characters Nala, Kali and Natan (actor) of which Kali has no physical existence. His presence can be manifested only through the Natan (actor). Here when the Kathakali theme makes its renewed passage to the modern theatre it presents to us a thought process which forms the very basis of the art of transformation in theatre. Kalivesham is directed by Pamabhusham Kavlam Narayan Pannikar and for screen by Sanjeev Sharma Ronkel.
- Madhyama Vyayogam' or 'Madhyamavyayogam' marks Sopanam's maiden encounter with Sanskrit Theatre in 1978. A theme which brings home to us the warmth of family relationship, the stimulation of human sentiments - the old values being recaptured in a highly dramatic situation. The drama is written by Mahakavi Bhasa depicting the incidents of the great epic Mahabharata.
