Newfoundlanders developed a wide vocabulary to distinguish specific phenomena in the continuous modulations of winter weather. I hope this video-poem can help keep some of these terms active. They're precise, practical, evocative, sonic, and lyrical, and knowing them helps one actually see the phenomena.
