- RAP Porkalam is a Tamil rap competition to recognize and elevate raw talents in Malaysia. A bunch of talented rappers will go through layers of intense one-on-one battles, and only one will be crowned as Malaysia's Tamil rapping champ. The competition was being held with combination of Astro Ulagam and Mojo Projects featuring Emcee Jesz @ Kavithai Gundar who is one of the pioneers of International Tamil Hip Hop Astro Ulagam's search for the best Malaysian Tamil rapper has cleared its first hurdle, with the audition for its contest Rap Porkalam, having successfully concluded on 11th January 2020. A total of 83 aspiring rappers attended the audition at Astro Bukit Jalil and out of the number, 16 participants have been selected to be a part of the competition which will premiere on Vinmeen HD CH231 from 22nd February 2020 onwards.

- A musical show specially produced for Christmas 2020 focusing on famous Tamil film, gospel music and famous Christmas English Songs featuring talented local artistes was premiered on 25 December, 9pm on Astro Vaanavil HD (CH 201) via TV, Astro GO and On Demand. This show was produced by Mojo Projects Sdn Bhd, this one and a half hour musical special presents six vocal powerhouses: Datin Seri Manimala, M. S. Breetoe, Preetha Prasad, Aanantha Rajaram, Gayathri Thandapany and Amos Paul in a mix of solo, duet and group performances, belting out popular Christmas songs as well as hit songs from movies, backed by a live band led by local music director, Lawrence Soosai.

- An unplugged retro musical show featured Malaysian yesteryear artistes including Datin Seri Manimala, M. S. Breetoe, TMS Sivakanthan, Sharmila Sivaguru, Preetha Prasad and Aanantha Rajaram was premiered on 14 November, 9.30pm on Astro Vaanavil HD (CH 201) via TV, Astro GO and On Demand showcasing music from the 50s to the 70s by Indian music icons, A. M. Rajah, P. Susheela, P. B. Sreenivas, P. Banumathi and T. M. Soundararajan (TMS). Musically it was a acoustical or an unplugged version of the great classic tunes that was not produced before. Musical instruments such as Piano, Acoustic Guitar, Drumset, Congo, flute and few more relevant instruments used to tune the songs. Nevertheless, the show also was focused on the singers and their career in a form of short clips were featured their childhood interests and all the way to making their hits in 80's and 90s. This was narrated with voice over not more than 1 minute for each artiste.The production was recorded in studio with MCP and studio lighting with Deepavali mood and a grand look for golden melodies.

- This festival brings to Malaysia a "never-been-done-before" performance of South India's Top 50 musicians and vocalists. These are independent artists, and some are film industry related instrumental performers' and back ground vocalists. There will be 5 fusionist bands performing in the indoor StarXpo Centre, Kuala Lumpur trying to compete and outperform each other. Though this is not a competition, the professional courtesy and competitions amongst the artistes will see a brilliant showdown of musical magic on 22 Oct 2016.Kicking off the festivities will be world renowned Malaysian world music ensemble AkashA. AkashA is a 7-piece Malaysian band, playing music straight from the heart. You could call it World Music, but it's more than that. Like Malaysia itself, AkashA is a fusion of four cultures - Malay, Indian, Chinese, and Western. Masala Coffee (MC) takes over the stage next, Masala Coffee burst into the independent music scene with its eclectic mix of songs. The band has dished out songs of all genres - ranging from rock to melody to folk. Led by the soothing voice of Sooraj Santhosh they have an amazing viewership on Music Mojo channel and on You Tube as well. Taking over from MC will be Tamil Cinema mainstay playback singer Haricharan featuring the musical stylings of Bennet and The Band. Bennet and the Band specializes in genre-based re-orchestration of popular melodies, Indian film tunes and traditional folk melodies for which the band uses session musicians lined up according to the type of music they need to play for the singer with whom they are jamming. Karthik and the Krew will then entertain the crowd with popular numbers from Kathik's extensive list of cinema favourites. He has sung in multiple languages including Telugu (over 500 songs), Kannada (over 300 songs), Tamil (over 1000 songs) and in other languages like Malayalam, Bengali and Hindi. Karthik is known for his versatility in the industry which gave him opportunity to sing a variety of songs before the night is taken over by Thaikuddam Bridge, Thaikkudam Bridge is a Kerala-based music band, founded and formed in 2013 by cousins Govind Menon and Siddhartha Menon. The band became first famous through the musical show Music Mojo, which is telecast on Kappa TV and their own composition "Fish Rock", which became popular through social media networking sites and YouTube, having garnered millions of views. The band does not have a specific genre and performs in various genres.
