- Glen and Katy's are having a rough time. Meanwhile, Glen's friend from England arrive and showers Katy with attention and a marriage proposal. Glen must find a way to win Katy back.

- Glen returns to Minnesota for last-minute campaigning. His manager is taking more than a professional interest and when she gives Glen less-than-honorable advice it leads to problems between Glen and Katy.
- Mr. Holstrum hopes Katy will persuade Glen on a road construction vote. She remains neutral. When Glen votes the opposite way Mr. Holstrum is offended and makes Katy leave the Morley home.
