- The event takes place since 1999 and is an initiative of The Family Friendly Programming Forum, a group of more than 40 major US advertisers - all members of the Association of National Advertisers (ANA) - that was formed to encourage the TV networks, studios, writers and producers to create and air more programs that are relevant and interesting for the whole family to view together.
