Les Rimbaud du Cinéma

- Each year talented and visionary filmmakers give birth to thousands of films that never make it to audiences. Made on tight budgets, without rosters of celebrity names, no advance contracts for distribution and no guarantee of monetary rewards, these films often fail to reach the public. The international festival Les Rimbaud du Cinéma is dedicated to bringing independent films to as many people as possible and to honoring the courageous creativity of independent filmmakers from all continents.
- We take our inspiration from the poet Arthur Rimbaud whose refusal to follow the status quo and commitment to “free freedom” forever changed the landscape of poetry.
Rimbaud Awards statuettes created by sculptor Paul Maulpoix are presented to each winner. - The term "Best,” or "Foreign," will not appear in any of the Rimbaud du Cinéma's choices. The Rimbaud du Cinema proclaims the equality and universality of cinematographic works even if each one of us has the right to personal preferences.
