When his replacement gets ill, the team asks that George fill in. When George appears on TV, he chooses not to apologize but states that he recalls a time when people at the ball games would stand up and look proud which he feels not too many people do these days. After that George has his old job back.
- George goes on a whirlwind spending spree, but doesn't realize the money he is using is counterfeit.
- After Mr. Belvedere saves George from nearly getting himself killed by an electrocution when his TV falls into the bathtub, George decides to quit his job as a sports writer, and become a lounge singer. However, Mr. Belvedere feels that George is making a big mistake, so he asks for the help of Robert Goulet to discourage George, but not before George proceeds with his debut at the Steel Towne Inn.
