Ramdas changes his name to Ronnie, befriends a girl named Julie, and grows up taking up crime as his career. He soon prospers and lets the villagers also prosper with him. Then when the Police Commissioner is shot dead, Ronnie helps the authorities apprehend his killer, a young man named Shekhar. He is arrested, tried in Court, and sentenced to be hanged. At this point Ronnie finds out that the people he assisted in the past are all against him and sympathize with the revolutionaries. Furious, he grabs a gun to kill Shekar's parents--and finds out who they really are and why Purandare shot his dad.

The rest of the family find out and have Vijay examined by a doctor, who prescribes some rest, and then a discharge. However, Vijay relapses, leaving the family no alternative but to call in a Tantrik, Bajrangi Baba, as they fear he is demon-possessed. Gayetri and the rest of the family will soon find out that Vijay is indeed possessed by Kamini, a girl who he allegedly romanced during his college days in a hostel, but refused to marry, leading to her death. Now Kamini is back with a vengeance and a vow to destroy this marriage at any and all costs - even if it means killing both Gayetri and Vijay and no power on Earth can stop her.

When Arun loses his vision in an accident, Saroj is unable to go to take care of him, and Kavita takes her place. Unwilling to reveal her identity, Kavita let's him think it is Saroj, not her. She learns that he still hates and despises her. Soon it will be time to take bandages off his eyes, and he will be able to see again, much to the dread of Kavita.

Maanav gets him a job with Hercules Milk Foods. Maanav meets with and falls in love with Kaajal Gupta, who is the daughter of the owner of Hercules Milk Foods, much to the chagrin of her dad who wants her to get married to Shyamal. Then one day Maanav disappears from Gopichand and Kaajal's lives. He re-locates to Simla and it is here that he learns that things have spiraled out of control as Gopichand has been arrested for marketing contaminated milk powder resulting in the deaths of hundreds of children. Maanav decides to return to Bombay and attempts to try and make sense why Gopichand committed this crime.

Eventually, Kunti's dreams are fulfilled when she marries a rich and wealthy Barrister by the name of Avinash Kumar. Unfortunately, Kunti is unable to conceive, however the couple are contend with their lives. Years later, Kunti finds out that Avinash is having an affair with a female client by the name of Moon Moon, a woman born out of wedlock. When she confronts him, he admits knowing and meeting his mistress, and openly declares his love for her, leaving Kunti humiliated and downcast. Kunti then decides to meet Moon Moon and it is during this meeting she will find out the stark truth behind Avinash's affair with her.

Now Deepak Bhardwaj has grown up and come to claim Jyoti as his wife, and moves into their house, much to the chagrin of Jyoti, Rajesh, Pinky, and Sheila. Tragedy follows as Kedarnath passes away, leaving Rani and Deepak to the mercy of Sheila, who loses no time asking them to leave the house. She is now busy preparing Rajesh's marriage to a young woman named Sona, who is not only rich, but beautiful and ready to come to her home with a huge dowry. What Sheila does not know that Sona has her own agenda, which includes Sheila not at all.
