- I first walked in to Travis Rogers Choir class to produce a radio new story about why schools should NOT cut their budgets for the arts. I walked out of his choir class blown away by the positive and empowering impact his teaching thru music and singing had on these young teenage boys - most who never sung a note in their lives. and I wanted to share the joy I felt at experiencing what happens to teens when a teacher is passionate about he does and his students, to other parents, educators and every community. I had seen so many documentaries that are sad and depressing... I wanted to share a real story like this that would leave everyone audience member with an uplifted heart and renewed hope in our teachers, in our youth and in our humanity . I hope this film encourages and inspires parents, students, educators and everyone to support arts in our schools and feel the powerful and positive impact it has on students, like these boys, who will carry with them that magic they created with Travis Rogers in choir class forever, and sing for the rest of their lives.
