- It's Joyce and Monty's wedding day, but all doesn't go to plan.

- Whilst Rob wins Cyd back and Noreen welcomes her twin sister Doreen Monty has a double problem - the deranged Sammy begging for a gig and the fact that he has spent all the entertainments budget. Jacqueline rumbles Nigel and Dennis whilst Liam disapproves of Kenneth cashing in on a customer's scratch card. Worse is to come when Sammy finally takes the stage.
- Pauline is surprised to find her book has been published after Doreen secretly submits it but Noreen is shocked by its erotic content and the arrival of its publisher Malcolm, Pauline's ex-lover. Joyce is also horrified to learn Monty has signed a contract with Sammy Valentino and forces him to provide a get-out clause. Meanwhile Nigel and Dennis have cause to thank Les, leading to the arrest of somebody more dangerous, whilst Sheren and Billy enjoy a romantic day out. Nigel and Dennis depart with their prisoner but Les also disappears.

Fortunately Eddie meets an old friend who solves the problem whilst an unexpected announcement from Sam's boyfriend Angelo makes her realize how much Joey means to her. Joyce gets a further shock when she hears of Monty's new job but she has reckoned without his change of heart and they unite to foil Sir Henry.
