Anna Kendrick was born in Portland, Maine, to Janice (Cooke), an accountant, and William Kendrick, a teacher. She has an older brother, Michael Cooke Kendrick, who has also acted. She is of English, Irish, and Scottish descent.

Tena is also the lead singer and accordionist of Molotov Jukebox. The band released their debut album Carnival Flower (2014), in Spring 2014, featuring their single "Neon Lights". Their second studio album, Tropical Gypsy (2016), was released on 15 April 2016 and was preceded by its lead single, "Pineapple Girl". Alison Brie was born in Hollywood, California, to Joanne (Brenner), who worked at a non-profit child care agency, and Charles Terry Schermerhorn, a musician and entertainment reporter. Her mother is Jewish and her father has Scottish, Dutch, English, German, and Norwegian ancestry. Brie grew up in the Los Angeles suburb of South Pasadena. Interested in acting at an early age, she began her career performing in community theater shows at the Jewish Community Center in Los Feliz. Her very first role was "Toto" in the Wizard of Oz. After graduating from South Pasadena High School in 2001; Alison attended California Institute of the Arts where she received her BFA in Acting. While there, she was one of the original cast members in the world premiere of The Peach Blossom Fan, performed as the inaugural theater production at Disney's REDCAT Theater in Downtown LA. During that time, Alison also studied at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama in Glasgow, Scotland.
Since graduating, she has continued to work in all forms of media, including film, television, and theater. She has performed in the Blank Theater Company's Young Playwright's festival and in shows at the Odyssey, Write-Act, and Rubicon Theaters, receiving an Indy Award for her haunting performance as "Ophelia" in the Rubicon's production of Hamlet. She had performed guest spots for Comedy Central and Disney's Hannah Montana (2006) as well as leading roles in some independent films before landing her role on Mad Men (2007). Since then, she has continued to work in film and TV.

Kathryn Prescott (born 4 June 1991 in London, England) is an English actress best known for her role as Emily Fitch in the double BAFTA-winning teen drama Skins (2007). Prescott was born in Palmers Green, London, and is six minutes older than her twin sister Megan Prescott. Prior to professional acting Prescott and her sister attended weekly drama classes at Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts where they would eventually meet future co-star Lily Loveless. Though Prescott made her acting debut in a single episode of the BBC drama Doctors (2000) ("Dare, Double Dare, Truth (2008)") along with sister Kathryn Prescott in 2008, it wasn't until the following year when she appeared as Emily Fitch in the third series of Skins (2007) that she made a breakthrough in acting. She and her sister, who plays Emily's identical twin Katie Fitch on the show, began filming the third series of Skins (2007) in July 2008. Prescott was born in Palmers Green, London, and is six minutes younger than her twin sister Kathryn Prescott, who is also an actress. She received her primary education at Palmers Green High School, secondary schooling at St. John's Senior School, and finally Ashmole for her Sixth Form College education. She has also studied television production with a special in directing at university.
