- DirectorRobert ZemeckisStarsMichael J. FoxChristopher LloydLea ThompsonMarty McFly, a 17-year-old high school student, is accidentally sent 30 years into the past in a time-traveling DeLorean invented by his close friend, the maverick scientist Doc Brown. If there is one movie that is considered the best time travel film of all time, it's defiantly Back To The Future. Now the idea of a teen traveling back in time and accidently breaking up his parents from meeting and his mother falling in love with each other may sound stupid, it actually works very well unlike today where stuff like that would never work. If you think the setting of the film in both the 50s and 80s doesn't sound genius enough, then I don't feel sorry for you. Honestly, I couldn't picture this film the same if it weren't for the outstanding talents of both Micheal J. Fox as Marty McFly or Christopher Lloyd as the excellent and unforgettable Doc Brown. If you're bored and there's nothing to do, then check this film out even if this is the 1,000,000th time you've seen this one of a kind legendary film. This will always be my favorite film and NOTHING will ever replace it especially in today's godawful world full of nothing but talentless hacks like Michael Bay and crappy remakes and they better NEVER EVER REMAKE THIS FILM OR THE TRILOGY!
- DirectorRobert ZemeckisStarsTom HanksRobin WrightGary SiniseThe history of the United States from the 1950s to the '70s unfolds from the perspective of an Alabama man with an IQ of 75, who yearns to be reunited with his childhood sweetheart.Life is like a box of chocolates and so is this film. Tom Hanks play Forrest really well in this film. This is one film that never gets old, it takes place between the mid-1950s when Forrest is just a kid to the early 1980s when he is married and Jenny who dies of AIDS. Great film, one minute you'll laugh the next minute you'll cry. A great film that sticks with you forever and never leaves. Tom Hanks is just brilliant!
- DirectorMike PrinceStarsBen ShephardRobbie ColtraneStuart CraigA behind-the-scenes look at the making of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire (2005).The entire series (2001-2011) has been some of the best films I've ever seen based on a series of children's books. Usually when a film is adapted from Fantasy series such as the The Never Ending Story or The Chronicles of Naria, the first movie is only good and the sequels suck in comparison the first film and the book's sequels are always better. I'm really sad that series is now finished as Deathly Hallows: Part II concluded the series because this was a really great series and I usually don't care for Fantasy and find Sci-Fi better and sometimes find it better than Fantasy. Screw Twilight, I think Stephine Myer should be ashamed of herself for trying to cash in on J.K. Rowling's more superior novel series and making a cheap disastrous imitation for teenage girls who think werewolves and vampires and way better than witches and wizards.
NOTE: I couldn't group all eight films together so I chose this instead. - DirectorJohn LasseterStarsTom HanksTim AllenDon RicklesA cowboy doll is profoundly threatened and jealous when a new spaceman action figure supplants him as top toy in a boy's bedroom.Disney + Pixar + First CGI film = Pure awesomeness! The sequels are just as good too! This was the first CGI film and was it a great one!! Tom Hanks did just as good as Woody as he did with Forest Gump and Tim Allen didn't suck for once.
- DirectorChristopher NolanStarsChristian BaleHeath LedgerAaron EckhartWhen the menace known as the Joker wreaks havoc and chaos on the people of Gotham, Batman must accept one of the greatest psychological and physical tests of his ability to fight injustice. The Caped Crusader's best film to date and features one of the best performances of The Joker by the late Heath Ledger. Although it's a shame he's no longer with us because he was perfect for the role of The Joker, screw Jack Nickelson, he was great as The Joker but Ledger surpassed him by a milestone! WHY SO SERIOUS!?
- DirectorDanny LeinerStarsJohn ChoKal PennEthan EmbryA Korean-American office worker and his Indian-American stoner friend embark on a quest to satisfy their desire for White Castle burgers.A very funny stoner film! The Cheech and Chong of the 21st century. Just watching this film makes me hungry for White Castle! Also, unlike in most films where I can't stand bullies, the main characters don't take any crap from some dit-witted skateboarding punks who torment them.
- DirectorJay RoachStarsMike MyersElizabeth HurleyMichael YorkA world-class playboy and part-time secret agent from the 1960s emerges after thirty years in a cryogenic state to battle with his nemesis Dr. Evil. Here's a question, why did it take nearly four decades to finally make a James Bond parody? Anyways, Austin Powers is James Bond parody about a British chick magnet who also happens to be a Bond-like Spy who fights an evil goofy villain named Dr. Evil (Before we had Doofensmirtz from Phineas and Ferb, we had this guy) and they are frozen for 30 years and reawaken in the 90s where they both fit out of place. Anyways, this was a great Bond parody, the second one was also good too but the third one lacked the charm of the first two films.
- DirectorAndrew AdamsonVicky JensonStarsMike MyersEddie MurphyCameron DiazA mean lord exiles fairytale creatures to the swamp of a grumpy ogre, who must go on a quest and rescue a princess for the lord in order to get his land back.Like Toy Story, Shrek is another example of why animated CGI films are so popular nowadays. Shrek is an animated comedy film that pokes fun of fairytale films and classic Disney films. Mike Myers, Edide Muprhy, and Cameron Diaz are the stars of this great comedy. It's a real shame the series became a joke after the second film, though.
- DirectorKeenen Ivory WayansStarsAnna FarisJon AbrahamsMarlon WayansA year after disposing of the body of a man they accidentally killed, a group of dumb teenagers are stalked by a bumbling serial killer.Scary Movie is another parody film but this time spoofing 90s horror films such as Scream and I Know What You Did Last Summer. This is pretty much the only good film in the franchise as the sequels were lame but the second one was good just not as funny. See this one if you can but watch Scream and I Know What You Did Last Summer first or you won't understand the plot or the spoofs.
- DirectorTodd PhillipsStarsZach GalifianakisBradley CooperJustin BarthaThree buddies wake up from a bachelor party in Las Vegas, with no memory of the previous night and the bachelor missing. They make their way around the city in order to find their friend before his wedding. What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas but what about trying to remember a night you can't remember? Well this is what The Hangover is about, four guys decide to spend the weekend in Los Vegas to excape their boring life but things get real when they can't remember what the hell happened the previous night and hilarity ensures when they meet a sadistic crazy Chinese madman, steal a cop car, and even meet Mike Tyson himself.
