Again I watch the DVR.

3. Jeopardy! (1984– )

A returning champion and two challengers test their buzzer skills and their knowledge in a wide range of academic and popular categories.

Stars: Alex Trebek, Johnny Gilbert, Jimmy McGuire, Sarah Whitcomb Foss

Votes: 8,215

Usually by the time I finish the two DVR Current TV shows it's just about time for this. I may watch a little Rachel Maddow or Wheel of Fortune if I got home from work early enough to get through my Current TV shows in time.

4. How I Met Your Mother (2005–2014)

TV-14 | 4,576 min | Comedy, Drama, Romance

A father recounts to his children - through a series of flashbacks - the journey he and his four best friends took leading up to him meeting their mother.

Stars: Josh Radnor, Jason Segel, Cobie Smulders, Neil Patrick Harris

Votes: 728,243

I'd DVR this and watch the Daily Show on East Coast Hi Def channel, which isn't delayed out here on the Pacific Coast so it's three hours early, but I also DVR House and my system won't let me watch a third show if I'm DVRing two shows. So I watch this live. If House is a rerun then I can watch the Daily Show and watch the DVR of this later and ff the commercials.

5. House M.D. (2004–2012)

TV-14 | 45 min | Drama, Mystery

Using a crack team of doctors and his wits, an antisocial maverick doctor specializing in diagnostic medicine does whatever it takes to solve puzzling cases that come his way.

Stars: Hugh Laurie, Omar Epps, Robert Sean Leonard, Jesse Spencer

Votes: 513,068

For me House jumped the shark a few years back. I DVR it for my elderly mother, who lives with me. If she remembers to watch it while I'm at work I won't see it. But if she forgets we end up watching it on weekends. Okay, I have been enjoying it lately when we do that.

6. The Colbert Report (2005–2014)

TV-14 | 30 min | Comedy, News, Talk-Show

Satirical newscaster Stephen Colbert provides humorous commentary on the big issues going on in the United States and the rest of the world, with his larger-than-life ego and overly-patriotic spirit along with him every step of the way.

Stars: Stephen Colbert, Jay Katsir, Jon Stewart, Paul Dinello

Votes: 39,167

I can't stand Two Broke Girls so I'm free to watch the East Coast Hi Def feed of Colbert. If I'm not DVRing House I'll still watch Colbert at this time and then use the DVR to watch How I Met Your Mother with ff commericals and do the same with the next two shows I watch.

7. Two and a Half Men (2003–2015)

TV-14 | 22 min | Comedy, Romance

A hedonistic jingle writer's free-wheeling life comes to an abrupt halt when his brother and 10-year-old nephew move into his beach-front house.

Stars: Jon Cryer, Ashton Kutcher, Angus T. Jones, Conchata Ferrell

Votes: 280,473

I definitely miss Charlie, but I still watch this show. It's still fun.

8. Mike & Molly (2010–2016)

TV-14 | 30 min | Comedy, Romance

A couple meets at an Overeaters' Anonymous meeting.

Stars: Billy Gardell, Melissa McCarthy, Reno Wilson, Katy Mixon Greer

Votes: 28,020

My nightly TV watching ends with Mike & Molly, normally. Usually I'm ready to go right to bed after I enjoy this cool sitcom, one of the few fully integrated ones on TV.

9. Smash (2012–2013)

TV-14 | 44 min | Drama, Musical

More drama occurs behind the scenes than on stage, as the team prepares an ambitious Broadway musical on the life of Marilyn Monroe.

Stars: Debra Messing, Jack Davenport, Katharine McPhee, Christian Borle

Votes: 18,067

This show is a brand new favorite of mine. Normally I will DVR it and watch it on Tuesday nights. But if I have trouble falling asleep I'll watch it at 10:00 Mondays.

10. Castle (2009–2016)

TV-14 | 43 min | Comedy, Crime, Drama

When a psychopath commits murders based on novelist Castle's books, Detective Beckett seeks his help to solve the case. He decides to work with her and uses his experiences as research for his novels.

Stars: Nathan Fillion, Stana Katic, Susan Sullivan, Jon Huertas

Votes: 174,343

I never watch this on Mondays. But I always DVR it and find some other time to watch. If it isn't Tuesday nights then I'll watch it on the weekend.

11. Frasier (1993–2004)

TV-PG | 22 min | Comedy

Dr. Frasier Crane moves back to his hometown of Seattle, where he lives with his father and works as a radio psychiatrist.

Stars: Kelsey Grammer, Jane Leeves, David Hyde Pierce, Peri Gilpin

Votes: 95,415

If I have a real bad spout of insomnia I watch two reruns of this at 11 and 11:30 on the CW station that doesn't do local news. This is very rare, but maybe once a month or so.
