- DirectorAlan G. ParkerStarsAlan JonesSteve DiorGeorge SlatteryOn October 12th 1978 New York Police discovered the lifeless body of a 20 year-old woman, slumped under the bathroom sink in a hotel room. She was dressed in her underwear and had bled to death from a stab wound. The woman was Nancy Spungen, an ex-prostitute, sometimes stripper, heroin addict, and girlfriend of Sex Pistols' bassist Sid Vicious. In a trial by tabloid newspapers Vicious was pronounced guilty before noon the following day. But the case never had the chance to be brought to trial, and a number of New York cops weren't convinced. Less than six months later in a flat in New York's Greenwich Village, Sid, himself aged only 21, died of a heroin overdose. For the next 28 years the assumption was that Sid did it - case closed. Over time, the death of Sid and Nancy has passed into rock legend and has only added to the controversial and notorious image of the Sex Pistols and punk music. At the request of Sid's mother, who committed suicide in 1996, rock author and punk expert Alan Parker has devoted himself to discovering what really happened in room 100. Parker has re-interviewed 182 people, re-examined NYPD evidence, and gone back to his original interviews with Sid's mother.

- DirectorGorman BechardStarsGrant HartIn marked contrast to "Color Me Obsessed," director Gorman Bechard's risky yet rewarding 2011 Replacements documentary that featured no songs or appearances by its subject matter, his upcoming "Every Everything: the music, life & times of Grant Hart" doc completely flips the formula: It's 100% unfiltered, unrestrained Grant Hart. The former Husker Du co-songwriter/singer/drummer welcomes you into his world, immediately addresses any HD reunion possibilities in an old interview, and is shown wailing behind his kit during that renowned middle-American punk band's heyday. And that all happens before the film's title even appears. What follows is a revelatory exploration of a singularly unique artistic force, one whose creative career is often overshadowed by that of his former band mate, and who finally, rightfully, gets a moment in the spotlight. It's an oral, and aural, history of Husker Du's so-called "wild one", from his rocky family life through the formation of his most well-known band; from their bitter break-up into the musical projects that followed; from his troubled past to his hopes for the future. Hart is a captivating, candid subject who holds the screen as he holds forth on everything from the mismanagement of seminal label SST, his relationship with William S. Burroughs, and his forthcoming double-album take on Milton's "Paradise Lost." It's a musician's life, and it's all here. Everything. "I don't want to say I'm a normal person, because I'm the only person I've ever been. I want to be the most excited and exciting person that I can be." - Grant Hart, "Every Everything"

- DirectorChris MoukarbelStarsJoey AriasKevin AvianceFenton BaileyWigstock was an annual drag festival which glamorously signaled the end of summer for the gay community in New York City for almost 20 years. Late one night in 1984, Lady Bunny and a few friends drunkenly wandered from the Pyramid Club in the East Village to Tompkins Square Park and staged an impromptu drag show in the bandshell. This would soon become an annual drag bacchanal that lasted up until 2001. And now, Lady Bunny has brought it back. This past summer, the festival returned, bringing together legendary queens with some of the new children of drag, into one of the largest drag performances ever staged. Wig explores the origins and the influence of the historic festival through rich archival footage, as well as provides a look into the contemporary drag movement that the festival served as a foundation for. Wig is a celebration of New York drag culture, and those personalities and performances that contribute to the ways we understand queerness, art, and identity today.
