Season Review-Nikita Season 2
Overall: 9.5-amazing
This is one of the most underrated shows on TV. It's action packed, funny, and it's a shame more people don't watch it. The storylines move very fast, and the writers do very well in terms of blending together both serialized and procedural stories. The biggest story this season, of course, was Percy vs Nikita. Xander Berkeley was one of the best TV villains I have ever seen, and he will be missed. He created a terrifying opposition to Nikita's cause, and I loved every second he was on screen. Besides the main cast (I love all of them), there were new/more main characters like Roan, Sean, Pierce, Birkhoff, Amanda, and Sonia. I liked Sean and Alex's chemistry, and I look forward to seeing them again. As for Birkhoff, I'm not a fan of him at all. I can see why people like him, but he's just plain annoying. Roan, on the other hand, was terrific. He was almost as great as Percy, and his "Terminator"-esque performance will also be missed. Amanda was also a great villain-while she wasn't the main Big Bad, I'm still excited to see what Silverstein does with her character next season. I believe the season hit its high point with "Clean Sweep", which finally broke Percy's boring time in his cage, and the last few episodes really were amazing. If I have bad things to say about the finale, it would be that everything was tied up too nicely. I would've liked to see more Roan (like Mike on Breaking Bad), and Percy, but at least they went out on top. Also, I can see why the writers did it because of the threat of cancellation. Why this series would even be thought of being canceled amazes me. It's awesome.
