As the highest-paid actress in the world in 2015 and 2016, and with her films grossing over $5.5 billion worldwide, Jennifer Lawrence is often cited as the most successful actress of her generation. She is also the first person born in the 1990s to have won an acting Oscar.
Jennifer Shrader Lawrence was born August 15, 1990, in Louisville, Kentucky, to Karen (Koch), who manages a children's camp, and Gary Lawrence, who works in construction. She has two older brothers, Ben and Blaine, and has English, German, Irish, and Scottish ancestry.
Her career began when she traveled to Manhattan at the age of fourteen after dropping out of the 8th grade. After conducting her first cold read, agents told her mother that "it was the best cold read by a 14-year-old they had ever heard," and tried to convince her stage mother that she needed to spend the summer in Manhattan. After leaving the agency, Jennifer was spotted by an agent in the midst of shooting an H&M ad and asked to take her picture. The next day, that agent followed up with her and invited her to the studio for a cold-read audition. Again, the agents were highly impressed and strongly urged her mother to allow her to spend the summer in New York City. Known outside her native country as the "Spanish enchantress," Penélope Cruz Sánchez was born in Madrid to Eduardo Cruz, a retailer, and Encarna Sánchez, a hairdresser. As a toddler, she was already a compulsive performer, re-enacting TV commercials for her family's amusement, but she decided to focus her energies on dance. After studying classical ballet for nine years at Spain's National Conservatory, she continued her training under a series of prominent dancers. At 15, however, she heeded her true calling when she bested more than 300 other girls at a talent agency audition. The resulting contract landed her several roles in Spanish TV shows and music videos, which in turn paved the way for a career on the big screen. Cruz made her movie debut in El laberinto griego (1993) (The Greek Labyrinth), then appeared briefly in the Timothy Dalton thriller Framed (1992). Her third film was the Oscar-winning Belle Epoque (1992), in which she played one of four sisters vying for the love of a handsome army deserter. The film also garnered several Goyas, the Spanish equivalent of the Academy Awards. Her resume continued to grow by three or four films each year, and soon Cruz was a leading lady of Spanish cinema. Live Flesh (1997) (Live Flesh) offered her the chance to work with renowned Spanish director Pedro Almodóvar (who would later be her ticket to international fame), and the same year she was the lead actress in the thriller/drama/mystery/sci-fi film Open Your Eyes (1997), a huge hit in Spain that earned eight Goyas (though none for Cruz). Her luck finally changed in 1998, when the movie-industry comedy The Girl of Your Dreams (1998) won her a Best Actress Goya. Cruz made a few more forays into English-language film, but her first big international hit was Almodóvar's All About My Mother (1999), in which she played an unchaste but well-meaning nun. As the film was showered with awards and accolades, Cruz suddenly found herself in demand on both sides of the Atlantic. Her next big project was Woman on Top (2000), an American comedy about a chef with bewitching culinary skills and a severe case of motion sickness. While in the US, she also signed up to star opposite Johnny Depp in the drug-trafficking drama Blow (2001) and opposite Matt Damon in Billy Bob Thornton's All the Pretty Horses (2000). Cruz says she's wary of being typecast as a beautiful young damsel, but it's hard to imagine disguising her wide-eyed charms and generous nature. Fortunately, with Cameron Crowe's Vanilla Sky (2001) (a remake of Open Your Eyes (1997)) and a John Madden collaboration looming in her future, Damsel Penelope isn't likely to disappear just yet.- Actress

Bianca Bree grew up in the film industry watching her father, martial artist/actor Jean-Claude Van Damme perform on sets all over the world and is extremely athletic due to her mother, ex-bodybuilder and fitness competitor Gladys Portugues.
Having two very athletic parents, Bianca was thrown into sports at a young age such as karate, kick-boxing, boxing, ballet and figure skating. After repetitively watching the Olympics on television, she realized that going to the Olympics was a dream of hers. The cattiness of figure skating made Bianca dislike the sport, many times she was close to quitting but the love she had for the ice kept her sane. Fortunately she came across short track speed skating and that's when she decided her goal was the 2010 winter Olympics. Within the year of 2002, Bianca trained like an animal, she was entered in many competitions winning all but two. She was also given many awards including one of the hardest awards to receive, "Most improved". Her motivation was manic until she was told by her parents that they were moving to Vancouver, Canada. Bianca fell into a depression causing a back injury from a crash during her last race, placing first. Bianca continued skating with the Canadian Olympic team until she couldn't handle the pain from her injury, causing her to make the choice she never thought she would consider.
Bianca graduated high school at the age of 16, she then went to John Casablanca's in Vancouver to study acting. When she got offered a scholarship, she made the quick decision to assist her father around the world from film sets to business trips. Knowing she had an advantage, Bianca was very adamant when it came to educating herself about the film industry.
In 2007, Bianca was asked to make her first film debut in The Shepherd (2008) as Kassie Robideaux. In 2010 she appeared in The Eagle Path (2010) as Bianca Banks, which was written, directed, produced and starred by her father, Jean-Claude Van Damme. In 2010 she played the role of Anna Flint in Assassination Games (2011).
Bianca moved back to California and started speed skating again. But in 2011 a British TV network, ITV, approached Bianca's family to do a documented reality show titled; Jean Claude Van Damme: Behind Closed Doors (2011). After the TV show was released, Bianca got an email from director Dominic Burns offering her the part of Carrie, lead role of his film Alien Uprising (2012). Being her first genuine offer, Bianca took the chance and went to the UK to start shooting, given the opportunity to do her own stunts and gained a great relationship with Dominic Burns, as well as being in his next upcoming projects. When Alien Uprising (2012) wrapped, Bianca was sent straight to Romania to play the role of Amalia in 6 Bullets (2012). After shooting two back to back films, Bianca made the smart decision to take her acting career more serious. The next year of 2012, Bianca played the role of Ashley in the film Welcome to the Jungle (2013).
Until Bianca starts her next upcoming projects, she occupies herself by staying in shape and expressing herself through poetry.- Actress

A new reigning 1960s international sex symbol took to the cinematic throne as soon as Raquel Welch emerged from the sea in her purposely depleted, furry prehistoric bikini. Tantalizingly wet with her garb clinging to all the right amazonian places, One Million Years B.C. (1966), if nothing else, captured the hearts and libidos of modern men (not to mention their teenage sons) while producing THE most definitive and best-selling pin-up poster of that time.
She was born Jo Raquel Tejada on September 5, 1940 in Chicago, Illinois, the first of three children of Bolivian-born Armando Carlos Tejada, an aerospace engineer, and his wife, Josephine Sarah (Hall). The family moved to San Diego, California (her father was transferred) when Raquel was only two. Taking dance lessons as a youngster, she grew up to be quite a knockout and nailed a number of teen beauty titles ("Miss Photogenic," "Miss La Jolla," "Miss Contour," "Miss Fairest of the Fair" and "Miss San Diego").
With her sights set on theater arts, she studied at San Diego State College on a scholarship starting in 1958 and married her first husband, high school sweetheart James Welch, the following year. They had two children: Damon Welch (born 1959), who later became an actor/production assistant, and actress Tahnee Welch (born 1961). Tahnee went on to take advantage of her own stunning looks as an actress, most notably with her prime role in Cocoon (1985).
Off campus, she became a local TV weather girl in San Diego and eventually quit college. Following the end of her marriage in 1962 (although Raquel and James Welch didn't divorce until 1964), she packed up her two children and moved to Dallas, Texas, where she modeled for Neiman-Marcus and worked as a barmaid for a time.
Regrouping, she returned to California and made the rounds of film/TV auditions. She found work providing minor but sexy set decoration on the small screen (Bewitched (1964), McHale's Navy (1962) and The Virginian (1962)) as well as the large screen (Elvis Presley's Roustabout (1964) and Doris Day's Do Not Disturb (1965)). Caught in the midst of the "beach party" craze, it's not surprising to find out that her first major film role was A Swingin' Summer (1965), which concentrated more on musical guests The Righteous Brothers and Gary Lewis & The Playboys than on Welch's outstanding assets. But 20th Century-Fox certainly took notice and signed her up.
With her very first film under contract (actually, she was on loan out to Britain's Hammer Studios at the time), she took on One Million Years B.C. (1966) (the remake of One Million B.C. (1940), in the role originated by Carole Landis), and the rest is history. Welch remained an international celebrity in her first few years of stardom. In England, she was quite revealing as the deadly sin representing "lust" for the comedy team of Peter Cook and Dudley Moore in their vehicle Bedazzled (1967), and as the title secret agent in the spy spoof Fathom (1967). In Italy, she gained some exposure in primarily mediocre vehicles opposite such heartthrobs as Marcello Mastroianni.
Back in the U.S., however, she caused quite a stir in her groundbreaking sex scenes with black athlete Jim Brown in the "spaghetti western" 100 Rifles (1969), and as the transgender title role in the unfathomable Myra Breckinridge (1970). Adapted from Gore Vidal's novel, she created some unwelcome notoriety by locking horns with septuagenarian diva Mae West on the set. The instant cult movie certainly didn't help Welch's attempt at being taking seriously as an actress.
Box office bombs abounded. Try as she might in such films as Kansas City Bomber (1972) and The Wild Party (1975), which drew some good reviews for her, her sexy typecast gave her little room to breathe. With determination, however, she partly offset this with modest supporting roles in larger ensemble pieces. She showed definite spark and won a Golden Globe for the swashbuckler The Three Musketeers (1973), and appeared in the mystery thriller The Last of Sheila (1973). She planned on making a comeback in Cannery Row (1982), even agreeing to appear topless (which she had never done before), but was suddenly fired during production without notice. She sued MGM for breach of contract and ultimately won a $15 million settlement, but it didn't help her film career and only helped to label her as trouble on a set.
TV movies became a positive milieu for Welch as she developed sound vehicles for herself such as The Legend of Walks Far Woman (1980) and Right to Die (1987), earning a Golden Globe nomination for the latter project. She also found a lucrative avenue pitching beauty products in infomercials and developing exercise videos (such as Jane Fonda).
Welch took advantage of her modest singing and dancing abilities by performing in splashy Las Vegas showroom acts and starring in such plausible stage vehicles as "Woman of the Year" and "Victor/Victoria". She spoofed her own image on occasion, most memorably on Seinfeld (1989). Into the millennium, she co-starred in the Hispanic-oriented TV series American Family (2002) and the short-lived comedies Welcome to the Captain (2008) and Date My Dad (2017), along with the movies Tortilla Soup (2001), Legally Blonde (2001), Forget About It (2006) and How to Be a Latin Lover (2017).
Her three subsequent marriages were to producer/agent Patrick Curtis (who produced her TV special, Raquel (1970)), director André Weinfeld (who directed her in several fitness videos), and pizza parlor owner Richie Palmer, who was 14 years her junior. All these unions ended in divorce.
She died at 2:25 a.m. on February 15, 2023, aged 82, at her Los Angeles home after suffering a cardiac arrest. She had been suffering from Alzheimer's disease.- Actress

For almost two decades, Monica Lewis was the idealized, wholesomely sexy sound and image of apple-pie America, lending a curvaceous, dimpled smile and melodious voice of hope to thousands of U.S. troops through two of the 20th century's greatest wars. She starred on the very first "Ed Sullivan Show" telecast, had numerous hit records including "Put the Blame on Mame", "A Tree in the Meadow", "A Kiss to Build a Dream On", "Autumn Leaves" and "I Wish You Love", and provided the memorable singing voice for the popular cartoon character, "Miss Chiquita Banana".
Monica's course to classic song-styling was set as a child. She was born May Bloom in Chicago, Illinois, the youngest of three children of musical parents, Jessie H. (Lewis) and Abe Leon Bloom, both of Russian Jewish descent. Her father was a symphonic composer and pianist, and her mother sang with the Chicago Opera Company. After the Great Depression forced the Lewis clan to relocate from Chicago to New York City, there was no shortage of sibling rivalry: Monica's sister, Barbara Lewis, established herself as an accomplished concert pianist, while her brother, Marlo Lewis, co-created Ed Sullivan's landmark television show, The Ed Sullivan Show (1948).
Having studied voice with her mother since a mere toddler, Monica quit junior college at 17 to work as a radio vocalist. In the mid-1940s, she had her own program on WMCA. This and other early airwaves successes led to her debut at Manhattan's legendary Stork Club and subsequent discovery by the "King of Swing", Benny Goodman, who signed her to appear with his popular band. She quickly ascended as a radio vocalist and co-host on programs including "Beat the Band", "The Revere Camera Hour" and "The Chesterfield Show", sharing the microphone with Frank Sinatra. She became one of the country's highest-flying songbirds, working with record labels such as Signature, Decca, Jubilee, Capitol and Verve to create numerous timeless hits and classic albums.
Her TV appearances included Ed Sullivan's very first broadcast in 1948 and every major variety show opposite legends, including Bob Hope, Danny Thomas and the comedy duo of Dean Martin & Jerry Lewis, with whom she first appeared at New York's Copacabana.
Records and television led to movies and, in 1950, MGM signed Monica to an exclusive multimedia contract. She was groomed in true MGM style - given singing and romantic roles in such films as The Strip (1951) with Mickey Rooney, Inside Straight (1951) with Barry Sullivan and Excuse My Dust (1951) with Red Skelton. She also sang the title song in the Marge Champion and Gower Champion musical, Everything I Have Is Yours (1952), in which she became the only woman other than Marge to ever dance on screen with Gower. Additional appearances followed in Affair with a Stranger (1953), starring Victor Mature and Jean Simmons, and The D.I. (1957) with Jack Webb.
Monica eagerly volunteered her talent for the war effort, becoming the darling of U.S. servicemen worldwide through the war bond drive, military radio broadcasts and a 1951 USO tour of South Korea with celebrated entertainer Danny Kaye. Back at home, she delighted the masses as a chart-topping jukebox chanteuse and Burlington Mills hosiery's "Miss Leg-O-Genic". Piel's Light Beer, Camel Cigarettes, Pepsi-Cola and General Electric were among the many other major companies which sold their products with Monica's visage and, for 14 years, she provided the tuneful voice of the animated "Miss Chiquita Banana" in a series of classic cartoon shorts which were shown in movie theaters.
When she married colorful and innovative MCA/Universal Studios production executive Jennings Lang in 1956, she not only became his partner but the mother of his young children: Michael Lang, now a jazz pianist, and Robert, an attorney. Monica and Jennings had a third child together, Rocky Lang, now a noted Hollywood writer, director and producer. She was a featured player in several of her husband's blockbuster Universal movies, including Charley Varrick (1973), Rollercoaster (1977), Airport '77 (1977), The Concorde... Airport '79 (1979), and the Top 100 box-office hit, Earthquake (1974). In the 1980s and 1990s, Monica made a few choice cabaret appearances and recorded several new albums, among them "My Favorite Things", "Monica Lewis Swings Jule Styne" and "Why Did I Choose You?", a tribute to her 40-year marriage to Lang. Monica wrote a photo-filled memoir, "Hollywood Through My Eyes", which is available from Cable Publishing.

Shannon Chan-Kent is a Canadian actress and soprano singer from Vancouver, British Columbia. She has performed with the Vancouver Metropolitan Orchestra. She has often worked as a voice actress in animation. Her best known role was providing the singing voice of the regular character Pinkie Pie in the fantasy series "My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic" (2010-2019). In the same series, she provided the regular voices of the recurring antagonist Silver Spoon and the female dragon Smolder. Chan-Kent also voiced several significant characters in the spin-off series "Equestria Girls".
Chan-Kent voiced Misa Amane in the English dub of "Death Note" (2006-2007). Misa was depicted as a young model with traumatic experiences, who gained the eyes of a Shinigami (death spirit). At the cost of shortening her own life span, Misa could learn a person's real name and lifespan just by looking at their face. She used this ability to feed information to the supernatural serial killer Kira/ Light Yagami, due to her unrequited love for him and her agreement with his vigilantism. Kira viewed her only as a useful tool instead of a love interest.
Chan-Kent voiced Christina Sierra in "Mobile Suit Gundam 00" (2007-2009). Christina was a computer programmer aboard the mothership "Ptolemaios", and was previously a runaway from an unnamed space colony. Christina was repeatedly trying to befriend her introverted co-worker Feldt Grace and to spend private time with her, despite their different personalities and interests. Christina was eventually killed in action, using her dying moments to offer life advise to Feldt. Feldt mourned the loss of her closest friend.
In "Strawberry Shortcake's Berry Bitty Adventures" (2010-2013), Chan-Kent voiced the regular character Cherry Jam. The character was depicted as a semi-retired professional singer, who had just started a new career as a music teacher. She had reportedly tired of constant music tours, and was seeking to settle down and to develop closer bonds with her new friends. Cherry enjoyed having a less hectic lifestyle than the one she previously experienced, and found joy in simple things.
Chan-Kent voiced Larmina, the Blue Lion pilot in "Voltron Force" (2011-2012). The character was the niece of Princess Allura (voiced by Ashleigh Ball) and a replacement pilot for her aunt. Larmina was an entirely new addition to the Voltron franchise's cast. This series lasted for a single season and 26 episodes, ending on a cliffhanger. A planned second season was never produced due to budget problems.
Chan-Kent voiced Beatrice "Trixie" Sting in the science fiction series "Slugterra" (2012-2016). The character was a female member of the Shane Gang, and served as a strategist for her team. Trixie viewed her teammates as her surrogate family, and tried to convince her secretive teammate Eli Shane to confide to her about his mysterious past. Trixie had aspirations to become a documentary filmmaker.
Chan-Kent voiced the antagonist Lemon Zest in the animated film "My Little Pony: Equestria Girls - Friendship Games" (2015). The character was a leading member of the Crystal Prep Academy Shadowbolts. She and her teammates obsessively pursued victory at an academic and sporting competition, serving as the rival team to the film's protagonists. Lemon was portrayed as a rock music enthusiast, and as rather insensitive to the needs and emotions of her teammate Twilight Sparkle. In a moment of danger towards the film's ending, Lemon helped in pulling to safety both Rarity (one of her rivals at the contest) and Fleur de Lis (one of Lemon's classmates).
Chan-Kent voiced the antagonist Wallflower Blush in the television special "My Little Pony: Equestria Girls - Forgotten Friendship" (2018). Wallflower was depicted as a lonely girl, who kept being forgotten by people with whom she interacted regularly. She eventually gained a magical artifact which could erase or modify the memories of others. So she decided to take revenge on the popular girl Sunset Shimmer, by using this power to isolate Sunset from her friends and to turn her into a social outcast (like Wallflower herself).
Chan-Kent performed the singing voice of returning antagonist Sonata Dusk in the animated special "My Little Pony: Equestria Girls - Sunset's Backstage Pass" (2019). As before, Sonata was depicted as a formerly powerful siren who has been exiled into a human world and transformed into a human. In the special, Sonata and her depowered teammates were pursuing careers as music performers. Their old enemy Sunset Shimmer accused the sirens of being responsible for a mysterious time loop. The sirens revealed that they have had no access to magic for quite some time, and were not aware of any magic plot.
Chan-Kent has been announced as the new voice actress of the anthropomorphic hedgehog Amy Rose in the upcoming series "Sonic Prime" (2022-). Amy is typically depicted as Sonic's self-proclaimed girlfriend. Her signature weapon is a hammer, which she typically uses as a melee weapon. By 2022, Chan-Kent was 34-years. Curvaceous, green-eyed Italian leading lady, singer and dancer of 1960s Italian comedies. Maria Grazia Buccella was a Miss Italia beauty pageant winner in 1959 and third-ranked as Miss Europe that same year. In films from 1951, she appeared in many a lightweight comedic offering, often as sensuous, alluringly coiffed and costumed soubrettes. She had notable leads in Menage all'italiana (1965), Le piacevoli notti (1966) (as Lucretia Borgia), Ti ho sposato per allegria (1967), It's Your Move (1968) (a caper comedy with Edward G. Robinson as an amateurish bank robber), Sissignore (1968) and Nerone (1977) (as Nero's wife Poppea). In addition to a small role in Vittorio De Sica's farce After the Fox (1966) she also played Robert Mitchum's love interest in Villa Rides (1968). Her other western lead was in The Wind's Fierce (1970), as the Spanish peon freedom fighter who gunslinger Terence Hill falls for. Buccella was briefly considered for the role of Dominetta Petacchi in the James Bond action film Thunderball (1965), but it went to French actress Claudine Auger instead. In 1977, Buccella appeared on the cover of the Italian edition of Playboy. However, just two years later, her screen career had all but run its course.- Actress

Gina Lollobrigida was born on July 4, 1927 in Subiaco, Italy. Destined to be called "The Most Beautiful Woman in the World", Gina possibly had St. Brigid as part of her surname. She was the daughter of a furniture manufacturer, and grew up in the pictorial mountain village. The young Gina did some modeling and, from there, went on to participate successfully in several beauty contests. In 1947, she entered a beauty competition for Miss Italy, but came in third. The winner was Lucia Bosè (born 1931), who would go on to appear in over 50 movies, and the first runner-up was Gianna Maria Canale (born 1927), who would appear in almost 50 films. After appearing in a half-dozen films in Italy, it was rumored that, in 1947, film tycoon Howard Hughes had her flown to Hollywood; however, this did not result in her staying in America, and she returned to Italy (her Hollywood breakout movie would not come until six years later in the John Huston film Beat the Devil (1953)).
Back in Italy, in 1949, Gina married Milko Skofic, a Slovenian (at the time, "Yugoslavian") doctor, by whom she had a son, Milko Skofic Jr. They would be married for 22 years, until their divorce in 1971. As her film roles and national popularity increased, Gina was tagged "The Most Beautiful Woman in the World", after her signature movie Beautiful But Dangerous (1955). Gina was nicknamed "La Lollo", as she embodied the prototype of Italian beauty. Her earthy looks and short "tossed salad" hairdo were especially influential and, in fact, there's a type of curly lettuce named "Lollo" in honor of her cute hairdo. Her film Come September (1961), co-starring Rock Hudson, won the Golden Globe Award as the World's Film Favorite. In the 1970s, Gina was seen in only a few films, as she took a break from acting and concentrated on another career: photography. Among her subjects were Paul Newman, Salvador Dalí and the German national soccer team.
A skilled photographer, Gina had a collection of her work "Italia Mia", published in 1973. Immersed in her other passions (sculpting and photography), it would be 1984 before Gina would grace American television on Falcon Crest (1981). Although Gina was always active, she only appeared in a few films in the 1990s. She retired from acting in 1997 after 50 years in the motion picture industry. In June 1999, she turned to politics and ran, unsuccessfully, for one of Italy's 87 European Parliament seats, from her hometown of Subiaco. Gina was also a corporate executive for fashion and cosmetics companies. As she told Parade magazine in April 2000: "I studied painting and sculpting at school and became an actress by mistake". (We're glad she made that mistake). Gina went on to say: "I've had many lovers and still have romances. I am very spoiled. All my life, I've had too many admirers."- Magda Konopka was born on 15 March 1943 in Warsaw, Mazowieckie, Poland. She is an actress, known for The Persuaders! (1971), Department S (1969) and When Dinosaurs Ruled the Earth (1970). She was previously married to Jean-Louis Dessy.
- Carla Brait is known for Escape from the Bronx (1983), La cameriera nera (1976) and The Case of the Bloody Iris (1972).

Edwige Fenech was born Edwige Sfenek on December 24, 1948, in Bone, Constantine, France, to a Maltese father and an Italian mother. She began her show-business career as a participant in beauty contests (she won the title of "Miss Mannequin de la Cote d'Azur" at age 16 and even won a Miss France beauty contest) and worked as a photo model prior to making her film debut in the comedy Toutes folles de lui (1967). She appeared in such saucy West German sex farces as Alle Kätzchen naschen gern (1969) and Sexy Susan Sins Again (1968).
With her lustrous and long black hair, lovely and sensuous face, full shapely figure and smoldering screen presence, Edwige soon became a very popular and much sought-after actress in a diverse array of European productions made in Italy, France, Spain and West Germany. She achieved her greatest enduring cult cinema popularity by starring in several superior Italian giallos for director Sergio Martino: The Strange Vice of Mrs. Wardh (1971), They're Coming to Get You! (1972) and Your Vice Is a Locked Room and Only I Have the Key (1972) (she was the onetime girlfriend of Martino's producer brother, Luciano Martino).
Edwige also acted for Martino in a handful of racy Italian sex comedies and the Italian mini-series Delitti privati (1993). Other noted Italian film directors Fenech has worked for are Mario Bava (Five Dolls for an August Moon (1970)), Giuliano Carnimeo (The Case of the Bloody Iris (1972)), Andrea Bianchi (Strip Nude for Your Killer (1975)), Umberto Lenzi (The Biggest Battle (1978)), Steno (Dr. Jekyll Likes Them Hot (1979)), Dino Risi (Sono fotogenico (1980)) and Ruggero Deodato (Phantom of Death (1987)).
She demonstrated her exceptional range and skill as an actress with enjoyably uninhibited performances in such amusingly bawdy Italian comedic romps as Quel gran pezzo della Ubalda tutta nuda e tutta calda (1972) and The School Teacher (1975). Edwige became a television personality in the 1980s and made frequent appearances on an Italian chat show along with fellow giallo goddess Barbara Bouchet. Moreover, Fenech launched her own fashion line and founded her own film production company, Immagine e Cinema S.r.l., with her son Edwin Fenech (she co-produced the 2004 film The Merchant of Venice (2004) as well as various Italian TV mini-series and made-for-TV features).
In the mid-1990s Edwige was engaged to famous Italian industrialist Luca Cordero di Montezemolo. She made a welcome return to acting with a small but funny part as an alluring art class professor in Eli Roth's Hostel: Part II (2007).
