Isabela Yolanda Moner, now officially Isabela Merced, is an American actress, voice actress, singer, songwriter, dancer, and ukulele player. She is known for Transformers: The Last Knight (2017), Sicario: Day of the Soldado (2018), Instant Family (2018), and the title role in Dora and the Lost City of Gold (2019). Merced also starred in the Nickelodeon television series "100 Things to Do Before High School." She made her Broadway debut at age 10 in a production of "Evita." Following her lead performance in 2004's Somersault, Cornish is best-known for her film roles as the titular heroin addict in the drama Candy (2006), courtier Bess Throckmorton in the historical drama Elizabeth: The Golden Age (2007), Fanny Brawne in the John Keats biopic Bright Star (2009), "Sweet Pea" in the action film Sucker Punch (2011), Lindy in the science fiction thriller Limitless (2011) and for her work with writer/director Martin McDonagh in Seven Psychopaths (2012) and Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri (2017).
Cornish was born in Lochinvar, New South Wales, Australia, as the second of five children of Shelley and Barry Cornish. Her sister, Isabelle Cornish, is also an actress. She grew up on a 70-hectare (170-acre) farm before moving to Newcastle, New South Wales. As a teenager, Cornish was fascinated by independent and foreign films. Shawn Huff began her career in modeling and acting when she was 15 years old. While attending high school in Albuquerque, New Mexico Shawn was 'discovered' by modeling agent from France. After convincing her parents to let her go, Shawn left for Paris and signed with Paris Planning Models. She spent the next year traveling throughout Europe working for L'Oreal, Marie-Claire, Vogue, Bazaar and numerous advertising and catalog clients. Shawn then signed with Fashion Models in Milan and spent the next two years enjoying work in Italy.
When Shawn was 18 years old she decided she wanted to be back in the U.S. and began working for Ford Models in New York where she spent the next 3 years. In New York Shawn worked for all the major magazines including Vogue, Mademoiselle, Seventeen and Bazaar. An opportunity came up to sign with Nina Blanchard Models in Los Angeles and Shawn took it.
Once arriving in Los Angeles, modeling began to take a back seat to the new world of acting. Shawn started doing commercials and had 12 national spots running in her first year. She was bit with the acting bug! Shawn started taking all different kinds of acting classes from scene study to improvisation, comedy and cold reading.
Although it took 132 interviews to book her first acting role, Shawn persevered and was hired for her first series, The Secrets of Lake Success (1993) which was created by team from Dynasty (1981). Shawn went on to do other series including McKenna (1994), an ABC series that she shot for 6 months in Oregon. After "McKenna", ABC gave Shawn a development deal at the network. Shawn has also done many movies including We the People (1994), The Bad Pack (1997), Absence of the Good (1999), and 100 Mile Rule (2002).
Shawn continues to act and model and she is the mother to Bailey Huff and wife to Brent Huff who is also an actor and a film director.
