Preparing himself for his roles, he immersed himself fully into his characters as a "transformational performer", often rehearsing his lines in front of a mirror. He made his television debut in an episode of New York Undercover (1994). Though he played a couple of drug addicts early on, he soon found himself much in demand-- and ultimately typecast -- as powerful authority figures, from police detectives (Johnny Basil in Oz (1997)) to FBI agents (Law & Order (1990)) to senior police officer (Cedric Daniels in The Wire (2002)). One of his best known roles on the big screen was as the mysterious Mr. Charon, concierge at the Continental Hotel, scene of much of the action in the John Wick (2014) franchise.
Arguably, his most memorable character was that of Phillip Broyles, special agent-in-charge with the Department of Homeland Security, heading a team of experts investigating paranormal events in the outstanding science fiction drama series Fringe (2008). Broyles was a no-nonsense tough guy, who, nevertheless, remained steadfastly loyal in defense of his team against insidious forces from within and without. Unlike Broyles, Reddick's other important recurring TV character, Chief Irving in Bosch (2014), was a morally ambiguous man motivated chiefly by political ambition. Both were flawless performances.
Prior to his sad and untimely passing in March 2023 at the age of 60, Reddick was much sought-after as a voice actor for animations and video games. He also never lost his lifelong passion for music, and, in 2007, released an album of his compositions entitled "Contemplations & Remembrances". In private life, the twice-married Reddick was said to have been very much devoted to his three dogs.- Actress

Goûchy Boy has starred alongside Hollywood legends -- from Jon Voight ("Second String") to John Hurt ("New Blood"). In addition to his role in "Brick Mansions" with Paul Walker, Goûchy Boy has shared a limo with Robert Pattinson in David Cronenberg's Cannes-nominated film, "Cosmopolis," and engaged in hand-to-hand combat with Steven Seagal in "Maximum Conviction." Goûchy Boy's credits include John Moore's "Max Payne" and "The Last Kiss," directed by Tony Goldwyn. He also portrayed Val Kilmer's sidekick in the TV mini-series, "XIII."
An accomplished recording artist in his own right, Goûchy Boy was bitten by the acting bug early in his musical career and hasn't missed a beat since. Had that dramatic turn as a teenager not directed Goûchy Boy to the craft of acting, the next acts might have played out a lot differently. Goûchy Boy's big break came in "Highlander: The FInal Dimension," starring Mario Van Peebles, a film that provided Goûchy Boy a way to exit stage left from the gang-infested life in his troubled neighborhood of Montreal, Quebec.
As for the moniker Goûchy Boy -- it traces to a bullying incident from his childhood and a character on TV's "Diff'rent Strokes." Who would have thought that a man who now stands six feet, five inches tall and weighs 300 pounds could have once been the victim of bullying as a child? Yet that is the reality the future Goûchy Boy endured as a teen. But one day, he'd had enough -- and fought back, beating down the neighborhood bully. A spectator in awe of his feat proclaimed, "You're The Gouch now!" (a reference to the bullying character, "The Gooch," from "Diff'rent Strokes). But Montreal's real-life, newly-proclaimed Goûchy Boy managed to turn a negative into a positive, becoming the protector of the underdogs -- the guy everyone would call on if a bully tried to intimidate the neighborhood youth.
A Canadian native of Nigerian descent, Goûchy Boy calls Montreal home. He is fluent in English, French and Creole.- Actor
