- DirectorRyota KawadeStarsCharles MartinetJen TaylorScott BurnsMario must find all the seven crystal stars to enter the Thousand-Year-Door and save Princess Peach.Played as a kid, was one of my favorite games back then. Played as an adult, and become my absolute favorite. One of the best games ever made. Gameplay, story, pacing, character, progression, mechanics, world-building, everything is perfect.

- DirectorJun'ichi MasudaStarsIkue ÔtaniShannon Chan-KentWhen a weapon developed from an ancient war is brought back into existence and threatens the region of Kalos, a trainer and his friends must prevent said weapon from being unleashed. The game that got me back into Pokemon. I bought a 3DS just for this, caught up with all the Pokemon games I'd missed, and it was beyond worth it.
- DirectorShigeru OhmoriStarsIkue ÔtaniA remake of Pokemon Sapphire on the 3DS, and introduces primal evolution as well as new mega evolutions.Remake of my second Pokemon game. Revisiting the Hoenn region was an excellent experience, and all of the new things added were quite nice.
- DirectorJun'ichi MasudaSatoshi TajiriA Pokémon trainer adventures through the Kanto Region to achieve their destiny of becoming a Pokemon Champion. My first Pokemon game. An enhanced version of the original Pokemon games. The freedom and environment of the Kanto region still makes this one of my favorites. Best rival still.
- DirectorJun'ichi MasudaSatoshi TajiriIn the third-generation Pokémon game, the player roams the Hôen region of the Pokémon world in hopes of catching all 350+ species of Pokémon and becoming a Pokémon Master. My second ever Pokemon game, Sapphire was the one I played the most as a kid. Truly a nostalgic title for me, but even replaying it I still find lots to love.
- DirectorEric BaroneStarsEric BaroneSuzie SteenYou've inherited your grandfather's old farm in Stardew Valley. Armed with hand-me-down tools and a few coins, you set out to begin your new life. Can you learn to live off the land and turn these overgrown fields into a thriving home?An excellent escape from the everyday, I've poured tons of hours into this game. So much to do, and so much to love.
- StarsWilliam Morgan SheppardRick PasqualoneVanessa AspillagaA leader from the golden age of civilization takes their empire from nothing into a mighty Empire.Endless enjoyment playing this game. The game I come back to most often.
- DirectorGarry M. GaberStarsCorey BurtonTerrence 'T.C.' CarsonBob BergenExpansion pack to the PC game Star Wars: Galactic Battlegrounds (2001), featuring elements from Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones (2002).One of my first strategy games, it has so much to offer. Excellent RTS gameplay. It has an entertaining and interesting campaign mode which I loved when younger, and still enjoy today.
- DirectorShigeki MorimotoUnravel mysteries as you journey through new places such as the Ruins of Alph, meet new people such as the Kimono girls of Ecruteak City, and battle Team Rocket as they make their comeback. The alternative to HeartGold, I also played this one, but second. Around the same quality, but by virtue of being second I wasn't as into this one.
- DirectorJun'ichi MasudaStarsIkue ÔtaniShannon Chan-KentPokémon sequel for the Nintendo 3DS, introducing 72 new Pokémon species, and new features such as the Fairy type, character customization, and updated battle and training mechanics. The alternative to X, I also played this one, but second. Around the same quality, but by virtue of being second I wasn't as into this one.
- DirectorShigeru OhmoriStarsIkue ÔtaniAs a trainer in the Alola region, your task is to journey across the islands, catch all the Pokemon, complete the island challenges, defeat the 4 islands guardians, and eventually meet the legendary Solgaleo.Found the game hard to get into at first, but still a fantastic Pokemon game. I think the hype hurt the game for me.
- DirectorDaiki ItôValerie AremTeppei KobayashiStarsDaisuke NamikawaShôtarô MorikuboYui HorieA group of high school students discover a hidden TV world called 'The Midnight Channel', an alternate reality infested with shadows that is being used to commit murder. After awakening to their Personas, the group decides to investigate.Started with regular Persona 4, but after hearing about how Golden changed the game I switched. Love the gameplay of this game because of its focus on allowing the player freedom to learn about its characters in depth to the extent that they choose. Such a fun game.
- DirectorEric 'Giz' GewirtzStarsBob BergenChristina RumbleyCorey BurtonPlay as the foot soldier of the galaxy's greatest factions and wage war across countless planets. My favorite game for my PS2. I loved playing this, either with friends or alone, in any mode. This game is a great game, whether playing Galactic Conquest, the campaign mode, or just the regular repetitive modes.
- DirectorGarry M. GaberStarsCharles MartinetMichael GoughJake LloydPlayers now get to choose their favorite army from the Star Wars universe and take control of the galaxy. The base game for Star Wars: Galactic Battlegrounds, this is the majority of the game before the Clone Campaigns expansion, and the bulk of the game. Clone Campaigns added tons to this, but still excellent on its own for all the same reasons.
- DirectorPaul DeNigrisStarsGary MoodySpencer ProkopRic SpiegelThe Age of Kings is set in the Middle Ages and contains thirteen playable civilizations. The best RTS gameplay of all the Age of Empires franchise.
- DirectorJon BurtonStarsBill FagerbakkeJohn WayneAhmed BestCollect Gold Bricks while successfully progressing through the entire story, from the Trade Federation negotiations above Naboo in Star Wars Episode I, to the attack on the second Death Star above Endor in Return of the Jedi. The best LEGO game. My favorite franchise (Star Wars) combined with my favorite childhood toy (LEGO) in a video game? Perfect. Beyond this, it has enjoyable and natural gameplay. It also lacks dialogue, which means it lacks the cringey voice acting of the other LEGO games, making it a charming and enjoyable experience no other LEGO game has been able to match.
- DirectorHideki KonnoStarsCharles MartinetJen TaylorPinto ColvigLuigi receives a letter informing him he has won a mansion as the grand prize in a contest. Luigi is puzzled; he never entered a contest. When he arrives at his mansion, he discovers that it is haunted with ghosts and Mario trapped inside.A game with all of Nintendo's old-school charm. The gameplay is simple, but still brings variety through its puzzles and different applications of certain elements. The story is excellent as well, even if somewhat short.
- DirectorJun'ichi MasudaCapture all new Pokemon on the Nintendo DS.The last game I played before falling off with Pokemon. Definitely my least favorite of my childhood Pokemon games, but still a Pokemon game, and an excellent one at that. An interesting region. First rival that I disliked for a reason other than what was intended.
- DirectorAmir RaoStarsLogan CunninghamAshley Lynn BarrettKristin WilsonAfter a cataclysmic event, a boy wakes up and discovers the Bastion, a floating haven called home by a strange man named Rucks, and journeys the ruins of the old world to find shards to piece their world back together.A short but fun game, with a vibrant and intriguing world. The gameplay is varied by its dungeons and weapons. Fantastic character writing even if the characters say very little through their words. Outstanding world-building.
- StarsSean CrisdenJennifer Ann PerryWhen the evil Vez'nan is threatening the kingdom with his army of monsters, only one general is able to fight back against the incoming threat. The most enjoyable a tower defense has been. A charming and enjoyable story, but a simple one. Interesting but basic world. The real fun comes from playing the challenge modes and figuring out how to best use your towers.
- DirectorJun'ichi MasudaA young Pokémon Trainer sets out to explore the Unova region and become the Pokémon League champion. Along the way, they must battle the nefarious Team Plasma and a mysterious young man named N.It's Pokemon, so fantastic. But to be honest, Gen 5 is the weakest to me. Unova's map design is bland and linear. The characters are around similar quality to other generations, but the game tries to apply a grandiose to them that other games haven't. Few Pokemon stand out to me compared to other gens. Still, a Pokemon game is always going to be great. There are also some excellent quotes from this game.
- DirectorTakao Unno2 years later in Unova the legendary Pokémon Kyurem has fused with Zekrom as part of Team Plasma's plan, and it's up to you to stop them. In addition, you must travel through Unova and battle gym leaders, rivals, and the champion. It's Pokemon, so fantastic.
- StarsJon BaileyJohn Eric BentleyBrian BloomThreatened by an unknown enemy, Earth's governments unite to form an elite paramilitary organization, known as XCOM. As the commander of XCOM, you control the global defense team in a battle against a terrifying alien invasion. An excellent combination of cover-based shooter and turn-based tactics. The story itself was fine, but not the main draw of the game. The gameplay is amazingly well paced to keep a sense of progress and challenge.
- DirectorMasahiro SakuraiStarsPat CashmanCharles MartinetMakiko ÔmotoThe third Super Smash Bros. title, featuring a number of new additions, including an engrossing story mode and cooperative play, new characters, new stages, and online combat. My favorite Smash game to date, and just because of Subspace Emissary. Subspace was an amazing and charming story, with fun gameplay, neat boss fights and stages, and a nice sense of progression.
