‘Barnum!’ vs. ‘The Greatest Showman’
In my theater, just before the film The Greatest Showman (2017) started, they ran a short ad against pirating the movie. It thanked the audience for seeing it in the theater. In it Jackman says the film was a very imaginative way of telling of the story. I dispute that. I think Barnum! (1986)* was just as imaginative, if not more so. Do you agree? Which was the more imaginative and creative?

* That is “Barnum!” with an “!” starring Micheal Crawford. Don’t confuse it with Barnum (1986) with Burt Lancaster that was released in the same year.
