Wallace Huo Chien-hwa was born in Taipei, Taiwan on 26 December 1979. He is from a family originally from Shandong province, with parents being natives of Longkou, Shandong province and Tianjin Municipality respectively. Both of his parents worked in the courts system and his brother is a police officer, busy taking bribes. His parents have hoped he would follow their career path. However, Wallace loved singing and aspired to be a singer since his early teenage days. Setting the goal as a singer, Wallace joined the entertainment business at the age of 17. Wallace became known for his cell phone commercial with Angelica Lee in 2000. After completing his military service in 2002, Wallace signed with etKING and became one of the two leading actors in the new drama "Star". Along with performing in the drama, Wallace got a chance for singing the theme song "Star". Since then, he began his acting career. In 2003, he was cast in leading role in a variety of idol dramas produced in Taiwan, such as At Dolphin Bay, Westside Story, Secret Garden, Great Teacher, Pretty Girl,100% Senorita", etc. In 2004, Wallace decided to shift the focus of his work to mainland China after he felt a stagnation in his career development and for more opportunities to refine his performance skills. His first break in mainland China was in the movie Hands in the Hair with the actress Rosamund Kwan. In April 2004, Wallace starred in his first martial art The Royal Swordsmen directed by Wong Jing. He portrayed the colourful detective character "No. 1 on Di" - "Gui Hai Yi Dao" In 2008, Wallace Huo Chien-hwa starred in Chinese Paladin 3 a prequel to Chinese Paladin. Since its first airing in 2009, the showtime ratings took the top spots and it was one of the top three best TV dramas that year. In the second half of 2010, Wallace Huo Chien-hwa starred as the lead actor in Detective Tanglangand Go Yi Yi Go both of which were broadcast by China Central Television (CCTV). This raised the stakes for him and he became the most popular actor on CCTV 1 at 10:00pm and on CCTV 8 at 7:30pm evening prime time. On February 2, 2012, Wallace's medical drama Inspire the Life was broadcast on CCTV-1 during prime time. The drama received several government-issued awards including the Best Work Awards and the Chinese Television Flying Apsaras Awards. Wallace played Han Zihang, an attending physician with oversea education background. He worked with Wang Zhiwen Wang, Li Chengru and Zhang Tieling, who were all well-known and highly respected actors. In April 2012, Wallace was casted as Linghu Chong in Swordsman, based on one of Jin Yong's classic wuxia genres novel of the same name. Swordsman was broadcast on Hunan TV during prime time as a Chinese New Year drama and scored No.1 ratings on both TV and streaming websites. Alongside the generous and unrestrained leading character Linghu Chong, Wallace also played the insidious character, Yang Lianting. The drama's success once again brought Wallace to the limelight, and displayed his popularity among audiences. Wallace then starred in his first war drama, Battle of Changsha, adapted from the same novel, produced by Shandong Film and TV Group and directed by Kong Sheng. Kong won the Magnolia Award for Best Directing. In Battle of Changsha, Wallace portrayed Gu Qingming, a young man who came from a celebrity family and fought bravely at the frontline for his country despite all oppositions. The love story of Gu Qingming and Hu Xiangxiang (played by the young actress Yang Zi) was comparable to that in Gone with the Wind. Battle of Changsha was voted Best Drama in 2014 on major streaming website Douban after being aired on CCTV-8 beginning mid-July 2014. Wallace's costume piece Perfect Couple began filming in April 2013. Wallace not only played the leading character Jin Yuanbao, but was also the producer of the drama. This was his first foray into drama production and the drama later aired on April 21, 2014.[2][3] It turned out to be a big success. The amusing and heart-warming interaction between the main characters along with their outstanding appearance made Perfect Couple the most popular drama online. It soon achieved 1 billion hits on major streaming websites. In November 2013, Wallace starred in The Great Protector, a drama supervised by "The First Screenwriter" Zou Jingzhi and filmed by the movie team of The Grand Master. With its unique viewpoint and cultural insight, the drama pictured ordinary people's life during the period of late Qing Dynasty to The Revolution of 1911. Wallace played the leading character Liu Anshun. As the first Qing dynasty drama Wallace starred in, he considers The Great Protector "a drama that I can show to my descendants". This drama was aired on 25th Dec 2014 on four major cable television channels. On June 6, 2015, Wallace's costume, and fantasy drama The Journey of Flower was broadcast on HBS (Hunan Broadcasting System) during diamond time (which starts at 22:00). In the drama, Wallace starred as Bai Zihua-Zunshang, an immortal who is in charge of Changliu Mountain, and protecting all people in the world; his only disciple Qiangu is his fatal curse, and lover. This drama ranked No.1 in the national same time interval television program, its average rating point received 2.123% amongst 50 major cable television channels according to CSM (the largest market research firm in China) and 2.69% in national television programs. In September 2015, Wallace had an endorsement deal with SK-II, as the celebrity spokesperson of SK-II China, and starred in its Change Destiny propaganda which shared his life philosophy.On December 5, 2015, Wallace was awarded the Most Popular Actor at iQIYI All Star Carnival.[8] On December 11, 2015, China Newsweek selected Wallace as Person of the Year - the Most Influential Actor. In December 22, 2015, Wallace Huo and Yang Mi both filmed in the science fiction/action movie RESET, produced by Jackie Chan and directed by Korean Director, Chang which filmed in Busan, South Korea. Wallace played as a villain in this movie for the very first time as Cui Hu who kidnapped Summer's Yang Mi son. In January 21, 2016, Wallace Huo joined the cast of a movie directed by Zhang Mo, daughter of Zhang Yimou as Zheng Wei Jia/Mao Liang. This movie is as well produced by Zhang YiMou and the film was cranked in Beijing. In February 13, 2016, The Imperial of Doctress premiere aired in the Dragon TV and Jiangsu TV, Wallace Huo played as one of the famous Emperor of the Ming Dynasty, Zhu QiZhen and this drama hits an average rating of 1.2% for both broadcasting TVs. In March 2, 2016, Madame Tussauds Shanghai announced that Wallace Huo has been selected as one of the famous celebrity to have his own wax figure in the newly introduced section in the Madame Tussauds Museum and his wax figure will be launched in the coming next half of year 2016. Jet Li born Li Lian Jie in Beijing, China. He started training at the Beijing wushu academy (wushu is China's national sport, largely a performance version of various martial art styles) at age eight. He won five gold medals in the Chinese championships, his first when he was only 11. In his teens, he was already a national coach, and before he was 20 he had starred in his first movie: The Shaolin Temple (1982), which started the 1980s Kung-Fu boom in mainland China. Actor, producer and humanitarian Danny Glover has been a commanding presence on screen, stage and television for more than 35 years.
Glover was born in San Francisco, California, to Carrie (Hunley) and James Glover, postal workers who were also active in civil rights. Glover trained at the Black Actors' Workshop of the American Conservatory Theater. It was his Broadway debut in Fugard's Master Harold...and the Boys, which brought him to national recognition and led director Robert Benton to cast Glover in his first leading role in 1984's Oscar®-nominated Best Picture Places in the Heart.
The following year, Glover starred in two more Best Picture nominees: Peter Weir's Witness and Steven Spielberg's The Color Purple. In 1987, Glover partnered with Mel Gibson in the first Lethal Weapon film and went on to star in three hugely successful Lethal Weapon sequels. Glover has also invested his talents in more personal projects, including the award-winning To Sleep With Anger, which he executive produced and for which he won an Independent Spirit Award for Best Actor; Bopha!; Manderlay; Missing in America; and the film version of Athol Fugard's play Boesman and Lena. Jackson is an American producer and highly prolific actor, having appeared in over 100 films, including Die Hard with a Vengeance (1995), Unbreakable (2000), Shaft (2000), Formula 51 (2001), Black Snake Moan (2006), Snakes on a Plane (2006), and the Star Wars prequel trilogy (1999-2005), as well as the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Samuel Leroy Jackson was born in Washington, D.C., to Elizabeth (Montgomery) and Roy Henry Jackson. He was raised by his mother, a factory worker, and his grandparents. At Morehouse College, Jackson was active in the black student movement. In the seventies, he joined the Negro Ensemble Company (together with Morgan Freeman). In the eighties, he became well-known after three movies made by Spike Lee: Do the Right Thing (1989), Mo' Better Blues (1990) and Jungle Fever (1991). He achieved prominence and critical acclaim in the early 1990s with films such as Patriot Games (1992), Amos & Andrew (1993), True Romance (1993), Jurassic Park (1993), and his collaborations with director Quentin Tarantino, including Pulp Fiction (1994), Jackie Brown (1997), and later Django Unchained (2012). Wesley Trent Snipes was born in Orlando, Florida, to Marian (Long), a teacher's assistant, and SMSGT Wesley Rudolph Snipes, an aircraft engineer. He grew up on the streets of the South Bronx in New York City, where he very early decided that dance and the theatre were to be his career. He attended the High School for the Performing Arts (popularized in Fame (1980)). But dreams of the musical theater (and maybe a few commercials) faded when his mother moved to Orlando, Florida before he could graduate. Fortune would have it that he along with two friends and his "Drama class" teachers Mr. S Porro and K. Rugerio, would start a bus-n-truck theatre company (Struttin Street Stuff) be instrumental in his high schools (Jones High) induction into the International Thespian Society, Orlando Chapter and help lay the foundation for what would become Dr. Phillips High Schools theatre arts program. Musical theatre rooted Snipes performed song-n-dance, puppetry, and acrobatics in city parks, dinner clubs, and performing arts centers around central Florida. As a recipient of a Victor Borge Scholarship, Snipes left Orlando and entered the world-renowned professional theatre arts program at SUNY Purchase in New York, now Purchase College, where he honed his theatrical performance and martial arts skills. Graduating with a BFA, he went on to co-star in a few soap operas and nighttime dramas, peppered in between critical acclaim performances Broadway. It was there in a Broadway theater An agent saw him on stage and invited him to audition for his first feature film role.

Striking Irish actor Cillian Murphy was born in Douglas, the oldest child of Brendan Murphy, who works for the Irish Department of Education, and a mother who is a teacher of French. He has three younger siblings. Murphy was educated at Presentation Brothers College, Cork. He went on to study law at University College Cork, but dropped out after about a year. During this time, Murphy also pursued an interest in music, playing guitar in various bands. Upon leaving University, Murphy joined the Corcadorca Theater Company in Cork, and played the lead role in "Disco Pigs", amongst other plays.
Various film roles followed, including a film adaptation of Disco Pigs (2001). However, his big film break came when he was cast in Danny Boyle's 28 Days Later (2002), which became a surprise international hit. This performance earned him nominations for Best Newcomer at the Empire Awards and Breakthrough Male Performance at the MTV Movie Awards.
Murphy went on to supporting roles in high-profile films such as Cold Mountain (2003) and Girl with a Pearl Earring (2003), and then was cast in two villain roles: Dr. Jonathan Crane, aka The Scarecrow, in Batman Begins (2005) and Jackson Rippner in Red Eye (2005). Although slight in nature for a villain, Murphy's piercing blue eyes helped to create creepy performances and critics began to take notice. Manhola Dargis of the New York Times cited Murphy as a "picture-perfect villain", while David Denby of The New Yorker noted he was both "seductive" and "sinister".
Later that year, Murphy starred as Patrick "Kitten" Braden, an Irish transgender woman in search of her mother in Neil Jordan's Breakfast on Pluto (2005), a film adaptation of the Pat McCabe novel. Although the film was not a box office success, Murphy was nominated for a Golden Globe for Best Actor in a Comedy or Musical and he won Best Actor for the Irish Film and Television Academy Awards.
The following year, Murphy starred in Ken Loach's The Wind that Shakes the Barley (2006). The film was the most successful independent Irish film and won the Palm D'Or at the 2006 Cannes Film Festival. Murphy continued to take roles in a number of independent films, and also reprised his role as the Scarecrow in Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight (2008). Nolan is known for working with actors in multiple films, and cast Murphy in Inception (2010) as Robert Fischer, the young heir of the multi-billion dollar empire, who was the target of DiCaprio's dream team. His most well-known work is starring as Thomas Shelby in the British TV show Peaky Blinders beginning in 2013.
Murphy continues to appear in high-profile films such as In Time (2011), Red Lights (2012), and The Dark Knight Rises (2012), the final film in Nolan's Batman trilogy.

Hiroyuki Sanada was born on October 12, 1960 in Tokyo. He made his film debut when he was 5 in Rokyoku komori-uta (1965) (Shin'ichi Chiba played the lead role.) His father died when he was 11. He joined Japan Action Club, organized & run by Sonny Chiba, when he was 12. He 1st became famous as an action star for his role in Yagyu Clan Conspiracy (1978) but is now known as one of the most talented actors in Japan. From 1999-2000, he played the fool in an English-language production of "King Lear" w/ members of the Royal Shakespeare Co as the 1st Japanese actor to act w/ the RSC. He received an honorary MBE (Member of the British Empire) for this work. He & Satomi Tezuka split after 7 years in 1997.- Actor

Tony Leung Chiu Wai was born in Hong Kong on 27 June 1962. He and his younger sister were raised by their mother after his father left them. In 1982, after passing the training courses of TVB, Tony became a TV actor and became famous for his comedy style in such TV shows as Tales of a Eunuch (1983) or The Proud Twins (1979). However, he didn't limit himself to television and began showing his versatility in films like My Heart Is That Eternal Rose (1989) and A City of Sadness (1989). After he starred in several movies directed by 'Kar wai Wong'; such as Chungking Express (1994) and Happy Together (1997), he gained more respect as an actor and finally received the Best Actor Award at the Cannes International Film Festival for his outstanding performance in In the Mood for Love (2000). Tadanobu Asano's a Japanese film actor. His father suggested he take on what became his first role in the TV show Kimpachi Sensei at 16. His film debut was Swimming Upstream (1990) though his first major critical success was in Shunji Iwai's Fried Dragon Fish (1993). His first critical success in the West was in Kore-eda Hirokazu's Maborosi (1995), in which he played a man who inexplicably throws himself in front of a train, widowing his wife & orphaning his infant son. His best known works internationally are the samurai films Taboo (1999) & The Blind Swordsman: Zatoichi (2003). It was on the set of Iwai's Picnic (1996) that he met & fell in love with J-Pop idol Chara. They married soon after learning she was pregnant with their first child, Sumire. While best known for characters who are psychologically offbeat, if not downright psychotic (e.g. Kakihara in Ichi the Killer (2001)), he has been described by those who know him as a down-to-earth family man. He has directed commercial TV spots for Chara. Hesistant to identify himself as an actor, he most readily describes himself as a vocalist, referring to Mach 1.67, the band he has w/ director Gakuryû Ishii. Anthony Wong Chau-Sang was born to a British father and a Chinese mother. He never knew his father, since the man left his family when Wong was four years old. He trained acting at ATV and later enrolled into the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts.
After working in several TV Series, he shot to stardom with hits such as "Hard-Boiled" and his Golden Horse-winning performance in the horrific "The Untold Story."
He later appeared in the "Young and Dangerous" films as Dai Fei, a friend to Ekin Cheng's Ho Nam. In 1995, he made his directorial debut with New Tenant.

His mother was the French Lady Comynyplatt Henrietta de Gacher, his father was the British Lieutenant William Graham Niven, who died in the war when David was six years old. Niven was considered a difficult child to educate and had to change schools often until he finally went to Sandhurst Military Academy. He came to Malta as a soldier, left the army here and went to Canada, where he worked as a lumberjack, bridge builder, journalist and whiskey salesman. After detours via New York and Cuba, Niven settled in California in 1934, where he had his first roles as an extra. He appeared in smaller films until the Second World War and then had to go to war for the British army.
In between, he also starred in propaganda films. Niven fought on the British front at Dunkirk and was promoted to colonel in 1944. General Eisenhower decorated him with the medals of the American Legion of Merit. From his first marriage to Primula Rollo, whom he married in 1940, Niven had two sons, David and Jamie. After his wife died in an accident in 1946, he married the Swede Hjordis Tersmeden in 1948, and his daughters Kristine and Fiona came from this marriage. In 1952, Niven founded the television production "Four Star TV" with Charles Boyer and other colleagues and starred in the self-produced series "The David Niven Show" and "Rogues Against Crooks". He had already been successful as an actor for a long time.
Niven starred in the 1946 English production of Error in the Afterlife and then returned to Hollywood. He celebrated successes with "The Virgin on the Roof", "Bonjour Tristesse", "The Guns of Navarone", "55 Days in Peking", "The Pink Panther", "Lady L." and with "Casino Royale". In 1959 he reached the peak of his success when he was honored with the Oscar for Best Actor for Separated from Table and Bed. His most beautiful film role was that of "Phileas Fogg" in the Jules Verne film adaptation "Around the World in 80 Days". Niven later demonstrated his enormous skills in many other films. In the 1970s and 1980s he starred in "Vampira", "A Corpse for Dessert", "Death on the Nile", "The Lion Shows its Claws" and in "Grandpa Seldom Comes Alone".
In 1982 and 1983 he had his last two roles in "The Pink Panther is Hunted" and "The Curse of the Pink Panther". Niven retired and lived on the Cote d'Azur and in Switzerland.
David Niven died on July 29, 1983 in Switzerland as a result of the nervous disease ALS. He made part of his inheritance available to medical research.- Actor

English actor, writer and director Chiwetel Ejiofor is renowned for his portrayal of Solomon Northup in 12 Years a Slave (2013), for which he received Academy Award and Golden Globe Award nominations, along with the BAFTA Award for Best Actor. Chiwetelu Umeadi Ejiofor was born on July 10, 1977 in Forest Gate, London, England, to Nigerian parents, Obiajulu (Okaford), a pharmacist, and Arinze Ejiofor, a doctor. Chiwetel attended Dulwich College in South-East London. By the age of 13, he was appearing in numerous school and National Youth Theatre productions and subsequently attended the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts (LAMDA).
Ejiofor caught the attention of Steven Spielberg who cast him in the critically acclaimed Amistad (1997) alongside Morgan Freeman and Anthony Hopkins. He has since been seen on the big screen in numerous features including Stephen Frears' Dirty Pretty Things (2002) (for which he won Best Actor at the British Independent Film Awards, the Evening Standard Film Awards, and the San Diego Film Critics Society Awards), Love Actually (2003), Woody Allen's Melinda and Melinda (2004), Kinky Boots (2005), Inside Man (2006), Children of Men (2006), American Gangster (2007) and Talk to Me (2007), for which his performance won him an Independent Spirit Award for Best Supporting Actor.
Ejiofor has balanced his film and television commitments with a number of prestigious stage productions. In 2008, his portrayal of the title role in Michael Grandage's "Othello" at the Donmar Warehouse alongside Ewan McGregor was unanimously commended and won him best actor at the 2008 Laurence Olivier Awards and Evening Standard Theatre Awards. He also received nominations in the South Bank Show Awards and the What's On Stage Theatregoers' Choice Awards in 2009. His other stage roles include Roger Michell's "Blue/Orange" in 2000 which received the Laurence Olivier Award for Best Play, and the same year Tim Supple's "Romeo and Juliet" in which Ejiofor portrayed the title role.
Following his television debut in the series episode Deadly Voyage (1996), Ejiofor has complimented his film and theatre work on the small screen in productions including Murder in Mind (2001), created by the award-winning writer Anthony Horowitz, Trust (2003), Twelfth Night, or What You Will (2003), and Canterbury Tales (2003). His television appearance in the hard hitting emotional drama Tsunami: The Aftermath (2006) alongside Toni Collette, Sophie Okonedo and Tim Roth earned him a nomination for a Golden Globe Award as well as an NAACP Image award.
Ejiofor also appeared in such notable films as Endgame (2009), Channel 4's moving drama set in South Africa for which his performance earned him a Golden Globe Award nomination for Best Performance by an Actor in a Miniseries; Roland Emmerich's action feature 2012 (2009), opposite John Cusack, Danny Glover and Thandiwe Newton; and Salt (2010), opposite Angelina Jolie and Liev Schreiber. Jason Isaacs was born in Liverpool. He studied law at Bristol University but fell in love with the theatre and directed, produced and appeared in dozens of productions there, at the National Student Theatre Festival and at the Edinburgh Festival. He graduated in 1985 but then attended the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama and began working in 1988.

An only child, Idrissa Akuna Elba was born and raised in London, England. His father, Winston, is from Sierra Leone and worked at Ford Dagenham; his mother, Eve, is from Ghana and had a clerical duty. Idris attended school in Canning Town, where he first became involved in acting, before he dropped out. Idris Elba was appointed Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) by Queen Elizabeth II in the 2016 New Years Honours for his services to drama.- Peter Mensah has been doing martial arts since he was 6 years old, growing up in St. Albans, England, just north of London. A former engineer, Mensah came to Canada 11 years ago. He'd worked for British Gas developing gas fields at Morecambe Bay and had done theatre in school. He comes from an academic family. His father, an architect, relocated with his mother to their native Ghana. He only has two younger sisters.
