The crime procedural was cancelled after one season on CBS only to be un-cancelled by the network to air as a summer series. After season three, CBS cancelled it again in 2014 only for A&E to save it. Season four debuted in Nov. 2015, but it was clear the network had given up on the series as they aired the final 6 episodes in traditional burn-off fashion. Two episodes aired on January 15th, with the final 4 airing back-to-back on January 22nd. The series had a total of 61 episodes.

On 3/7/16, Amazon announced the upcoming fifth season would be the last. Amazon saved the series after the BBC cancelled it after two poorly-rated seasons. But it's time has apparently run out after three seasons on the online streaming service. The final run is scheduled to debut later in 2016.

14. Royal Pains (2009–2016)

On 3/10/16, USA unsurprisingly declared season eight the final run of the series. The last two times the series was renewed, it for two seasons each time; both going down in normal episode count (13 then 8). Upon the joint renewal in 2014 for seasons seven and eight, it was all-but-official the series was going to end. The final season premieres May 18th, 2016. On 3/11/16, Freeform announced the series would conclude with the upcoming fifth season. This doesn't come as a big surprise since the ratings have seen better days and the season five renewal saw the series receiving the shortest episode count for a season. The 10-episode season is supposed to start airing in April 2016. The series finale will be a 90-minute special and conclude the 103 episode run.

Votes: 1,395

On 5/13/16, Freeform cancelled the freshman drama. The weak ratings are likely what factored into the decision. There were a total of 10 episodes, the finale one having aired on March 28th.

After discovering his origins, Damien Thorn must cope with life as the Anti-Christ.

Votes: 131,155

On 6/20/16, series creator John Logan confirmed the series was over the day after the 2-part finale had aired. With the ratings on a massive decline, fans worried the show would be abruptly cancelled without a fourth season. However, between Vanessa Ives dying and "The End" showing up before the end credits many immediately speculated the season 3 finale was actually a "surprise" series finale. Logan later talked about having planned the series to end that way in advance. And while there were several stories that could have been tackled in another season, Logan stated he had no interest as he felt Vanessa and her portrayer, Evan Green were the muse and focal point of the series. There were a total of 27 episodes.

On 6/22/16, HBO cancelled the series after previously renewing it. The series had fairly low ratings during the first season, but critical acclaim and starpower seems to be what pushed it towards a renewal. However, the creative differences which lead to the departure of series creator (Terence Winter) appears to be what pushed HBO to make the tough call. There were a total of 10 episodes, with the final one having aired on April 17th.

TV-14 | 44 min | Drama, Mystery, Romance

Four friends band together against an anonymous foe who threatens to reveal their darkest secrets, while also investigating the disappearance of their best friend.

Stars: Troian Bellisario, Ashley Benson, Lucy Hale, Shay Mitchell

Votes: 178,439

On 8/29/16, Freeform officially announced the series would be ending with the current seventh season. The specific end date had been speculated for years, with some cast members stating it was ending with season seven while others (including the showrunner) saying it was not. However, the end date has been made official with the final 10 episodes scheduled to start airing in April 2017 - four months later than their usual midseason return. The series is based on the young adult novels written by Sara Shepard and became a smash hit when it launched in the summer of 2010 on ABC Family (now Freeform). It quickly became one of the network's highest rated and most popular series to date, and remains so. There were holiday specials and even a short-lived spin-off in 2013, "Ravenswood." The series will reach 160 episodes by the finale, which will also make it the longest-running series on the network.

30. Devious Maids (2013–2016)

TV-PG | 60 min | Comedy, Drama, Mystery

Four Latina maids with ambition and dreams of their own work for the rich and famous in Beverly Hills.

Stars: Ana Ortiz, Dania Ramirez, Roselyn Sanchez, Judy Reyes

Votes: 25,637

On 9/1/16, Lifetime fired the maids after four seasons. The series was originally going to air on ABC, but was shuffled over to Lifetime where it became a breakout hit. The ratings have consecutively dropped each season, but they remained steady within each season. The cancellation might also have something to do with Lifetime changing their direction in scripted programming - making it darker and edgier like "UnReal." The season-now-series finale, which aired August 8th, ended on a pretty big cliffhanger that seems likely to never be resolved. The series had a total of 49 episodes and was the first all-Latina lead series on English-speaking television.

31. Feed the Beast (2016)

TV-14 | 60 min | Crime, Drama

Two friends open up a restaurant together.

Stars: David Schwimmer, Jim Sturgess, Lorenza Izzo, Michael Gladis

Votes: 3,497
