- DirectorChristopher LandonStarsTye SheridanLogan MillerJoey MorganThree scouts, on the eve of their last camp-out, discover the true meaning of friendship when they attempt to save their town from a zombie outbreak.Juvenile, unfunny crap.
- DirectorJung Bum-shikStarsOh Ah-yeonWi Ha-joonYoo Je-YoonThe crew of a horror web series travels to an abandoned asylum for a live broadcast. It soon encounters much more than expected as it moves deeper inside the nightmarish old building. Not worse than so many others, just very average.
- DirectorPablo AragüésStarsNicolás CoronadoJavier ButlerLucía Ramos"Hazing" ("Novatos") is a feature film based on the director's true story. The story of Alex, a freshman who rejects hazing, and Carla, a freshman who doesn't care too much about it. Between them, two opposite ways to face hazing will grow a loving relationship that helps them overcome the problem.Had the potential to be a tense drama, but was too bland and superficial. Some cute guys, though.
- DirectorLaura AlveaJosé OrtuñoStarsClare DurantIván PellicerLuis BermejoThis time, horror comes fron the other side.Could have been good, but was too Americanized. Stunning visuals, though.
- DirectorDominique Othenin-GirardStarsDonald PleasenceDanielle HarrisEllie CornellOne year after the events of Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers (1988), the Shape returns to Haddonfield once again in an attempt to kill his now-mute niece.Crap.
- DirectorJoe ChappelleStarsDonald PleasencePaul RuddMarianne HaganSix years after Michael Myers last terrorized Haddonfield, he returns there in pursuit of his niece, Jamie Lloyd, who has escaped with her newborn child, for which Michael and a mysterious cult have sinister plans.Crap.
- DirectorJeremy GillespieSteven KostanskiStarsAaron PooleKenneth WelshEllen WongShortly after delivering a patient to an understaffed hospital, a police officer experiences strange and violent occurrences seemingly linked to a group of mysterious hooded figures. Some good creature effects, but ultimately boring.
- DirectorMichael SpierigPeter SpierigStarsHelen MirrenSarah SnookFinn Scicluna-O'PreyEnsconced in her sprawling San Jose, California mansion, eccentric firearm heiress Sarah Winchester (Dame Helen Mirren) believes she is haunted by the souls of people killed by the Winchester repeating rifle.First half was promising, then it fell apart.
- DirectorAdam RobitelStarsLin ShayeLeigh WhannellAngus SampsonParapsychologist Dr. Elise Rainier faces her most fearsome and personal haunting yet, as she is drawn back to her ghostly childhood home where the terror began.Even worse than Chapter 3.
- DirectorFranck PhelizonStarsJose AtuncarClaudine BertinCedric HenquezWhen a young man becomes possessed after playing a Ouija game,a ghost hunter investigates the evil spirit dwelling within him.Less than mediocre French Paranormal Activity/The Exorcist knock-off/clone.
- DirectorDiederik Van RooijenStarsShay MitchellGrey DamonKirby JohnsonWhen a cop who is just out of rehab takes the graveyard shift in a city hospital morgue, she faces a series of bizarre, violent events caused by an evil entity in one of the corpses.Mediocre at best.
- DirectorJulius AveryStarsJovan AdepoWyatt RussellMathilde OllivierA small group of American soldiers find horror behind enemy lines on the eve of D-Day.Sweet Mother of Hades, what a boring mess. I know it's a Hollywood movie, but the picture was too "clean" to make you feel you were in a war. And, of course, there had to be a lady and a kid involved. And why the hell does a WWII movie end with a fu**ing rap song over the end credits??
- DirectorJohn R. LeonettiStarsStanley TucciKiernan ShipkaMiranda OttoWhen the world is under attack from terrifying creatures who hunt their human prey by sound, 16-year old Ally Andrews (Kiernan Shipka), who lost her hearing at 13, and her family seek refuge in a remote haven.Started out okay-ish, but quickly became a slog with only a few minutes of good stuff. Would have worked better as a 60-minutes movie, and Kiernan Shipka is as bland as ever.
- DirectorKevin KölschDennis WidmyerStarsJason ClarkeAmy SeimetzJohn LithgowDr. Louis Creed and his wife, Rachel, relocate from Boston to rural Maine with their two young children. The couple soon discover a mysterious burial ground hidden deep in the woods near their new home.Unbelievably bad. Gone is the tension and the emotion. They call it a "re-imagining", but a lot of the scenes are almost exactly lifted from the 1989 version, and the changes they made to the story did no good.
- DirectorBob ClarkStarsJohn MarleyLynn CarlinRichard BackusA young soldier killed in the Vietnam War inexplicably shows up at his family home on the night of his death. Both bad and boring.
- DirectorRichard ShepardStarsMarie MaskellAllison WilliamsChristina JastrzembskaWhen troubled musical prodigy Charlotte seeks out Elizabeth, the new star pupil of her former school, the encounter sends both musicians down a sinister path with shocking consequences. What a stupid mess of a schizophrenic movie.
- DirectorJosh TrankStarsMiles TellerKate MaraMichael B. JordanFour young outsiders teleport to an alternate and dangerous universe which alters their physical form in shocking ways. The four must learn to harness their new abilities and work together to save Earth from a former friend turned enemy.I liked the body horror aspect, but other than that it was extremely bland.
- DirectorJustin SnyderStarsJustin SnyderCaroline WeinrothRachael LubarskyAn aspiring film-maker embarks on a journey investigating the nightmarish and haunting stories behind the Black Eyed Children phenomenon. This subject usually scares me, but it's really bad.
- DirectorTony WashStarsRachel MelvinShenae Grimes-BeechJoey BicicchiBrother and sister, Ben and Ashley, reunite 20 years after the murder of their parents to face the cause of their parents' death, a supernatural creature known as The Rake.Nonsensical plot and not one likeable character.
- DirectorJoe GiannoneStarsGaylen RossTony NunziataHarriet BassA legendary psychopathic murderer stalks a summer camp.Dodgy editing, dodgier logic, bad acting, dialogue and dubbing, stupid decisions, a "love-scene" that went on for too long all the while a cheesy-ass song played, scenes that are waaaaay too drawn out, and I don't know why the Madman had to look and sound like a yeti.
On the plus-side, it had a fun opening around a campfire and it had one effective jumpscare I didn't see coming.
I got the feeling that it was rewritten from a Friday the 13th script that was rejected for being too stupid. - CreatorDavid KajganichMax BorensteinAlexander WooStarsJared HarrisDerek MioTobias MenziesSupernatural, semihistorical, horror anthology series, where each season is inspired by a different infamous or mysterious real life historical tragedy. The first two or three episodes were promising but then it became a real slog to get through. Well-made and with good acting, but slowly and weirdly paced.
- DirectorTony RandelStarsStephen MachtShawn WeatherlyMegan WardAn architect brings home a mysterious old clock, not knowing that it's haunted by the demonic presence of the Amityville house. Soon, the clock begins to alter time and space and starts to possess members of the household. Not good, but I didn't expect it to be.
- DirectorJohn MurlowskiStarsRoss PartridgeJulia NicksonLala SloatmanAn old mirror from the Amityville house finds its way into a young photographer's home, where the demonic presence soon manifests itself to cause more death and mayhem.
Not good, but I didn't expect it to be. - DirectorSandor SternStarsPatty DukeJane WyattFredric LehneThe demonic forces in the Amityville house transfer to an ancient lamp, which finds its way to a remote California mansion where the evil manipulates a little girl by manifesting itself in the form of her dead father. Not good, but I didn't expect it to be.
- DirectorGeoff MeedStarsJason WilliamsAmy Van HorneDevin ClarkIn disregard of the shocking DeFeo murders, an unsuspecting family moves into the infamous house on 112 Ocean Avenue. Now, ghostly apparitions start to appear in their video surveillance system. Can they survive the Amityville haunting? Not good, but I didn't expect it to be.
- DirectorAnthony WallerStarsTom Everett ScottJulie DelpyVince VielufAn American man unwittingly gets involved with French werewolves who have developed a serum allowing them to transform at will.I think I will take a break from movies I KNOW are bad. Those shitty-ass CG werewolves.... jeeez!
- DirectorMichael GraceyStarsHugh JackmanMichelle WilliamsZac EfronCelebrates the birth of show business and tells of a visionary who rose from nothing to create a spectacle that became a worldwide sensation.Quite boring, actually, too nice, too easy. And I was distracted by the songs, because so many of them were too modern for the time it's set in.
Michelle Williams, Zendaya, and Rebecca Ferguson deserve so much better. - DirectorKathleen BehunStarsMax HambletonWhitney Rose PynnMickey RiverThree filmmakers embark on a paranormal challenge by barricading themselves in a house so haunted, no one has been able to live in for more than 21 days.Best to avoid this.
- StarsVictoire Du BoisLucie BoujenahTiphaine DaviotWhen a famous horror writer goes back to her hometown, she finds out that the evil spirit that plagues her dreams is also there in real life.
I don't understand all the raving reviews, despite being only 8 episodes, with 3 of them clocking in under 40 minutes, it still dragged.
Sometimes it seemed like it wanted to be comedy rather than horror.
Also, if they had dropped the unnecessary romantic subplots and all the flashbacks, they could have made it at least one episode shorter. - DirectorDon ManciniStarsAllison Dawn DoironAlex VincentBrad DourifChucky returns to terrorize his human victim, Nica. Meanwhile, the killer doll has some scores to settle with his old enemies, with the help of his former wife.Don Mancini should just have stopped after the first one.
- DirectorGarth JenningsChristophe LourdeletStarsMatthew McConaugheyReese WitherspoonSeth MacFarlaneIn a city of humanoid animals, a hustling theater impresario's attempt to save his theater with a singing competition becomes grander than he anticipates even as its finalists find that their lives will never be the same.Very few funny scenes, generally it was just plain boring.
- DirectorRichard Anthony DunfordStarsTom ClearKarl Kennedy-WilliamsTuula CostelloeIf you could see what I see.Filled to the brim with annoying characters, bad acting, and bad production "values". It's only 84 minutes long, but it takes 45 minutes for ANYTHING at all to happen, but it's crappy and boring and stupid.
- DirectorDouglas CheekStarsJohn HeardDaniel SternChristopher CurryA bizarre series of sudden disappearances on the streets of New York City seems to point toward something unsavory living in the sewers.Hadn't watched it since 1985 or there about. I didn't remember anything from it. Now I know why.
- DirectorSteven C. MillerStarsJonny WestonGattlin GriffithPeter HoldenTwo brothers team-up to battle a creature under the bed.Nonsensical. The lead character was cute, though, so an extra star for that.
- DirectorChris W. MitchellStarsGijs Scholten van AschatCarine CrutzenBart KleverA father takes his wife, two sons, and a friend and his daughter on a hiking trip in the woods. After a long search for a spot to set up camp, the father finds a perfect place overlooking a pool. Everybody seems to get settled quickly, and when the night falls the two sons listen to a ghost story told by their father's friend at the campfire. The younger son begins to have strange dreams, and bizarre occurrences develop at the campsite.Weird, horrorless horror movie.
- DirectorRodrigo Van Der PutStarsGregório DuvivierFábio PorchatAntonio TabetJesus, who's hitting the big 3-0, brings a surprise guest to meet the family.Just bad. I'm an atheist so didn't find it blasphemous, it was just meh.
