SUPERGIRL SEASON 2 RATINGS
With the show moving to CW it certainly became a lot more fun and entertaining, but the inconsistency and stupidity levels were also increased....
All of the new characters, except Maggie, who at least was very hot, were pretty good. Tyler Hoechlin was outstanding as Superman, he based his performance on Christopher Reeve's version and added his own touch. Superman himself was greatly portrayed in the first two episodes, but I found insulting the way they treated him in the season finale. Lena is the most interesting and compelling character of the show after Supergirl. Most of the action scenes were pretty awesome. The villains were massively improved from last season and Lilian Luthor in particular is by far the best antagonist of the show. I really liked James turning into the Guardian, even though his involvement in the second half of the season was too insignificant....
While the first half had very few problems, the second one had a lot more. Despite Hatcher's charm, Rhea is among the most stupidly written characters in the Arrowverse. The writers should have allowed Lilian to be the main villain and never bothered with her. Speaking about them their job was again underwhelming. A lot of the characters were criminally underdeveloped. There was too much (mostly homosexual) romance and it mostly sucked.
Overall rating: 8.1/10
