New Orleans District Attorney Jim Garrison prosecuted Clay Shaw on the charge that Shaw and a group of activists, including David Ferrie and Guy Banister, were involved in a conspiracy with elements of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) in the John F. Kennedy assassination. Garrison arrested Shaw on March 1, 1967.[12] Garrison believed that Shaw was the man named as "Clay Bertrand" in the Warren Commission Report. Garrison said that Shaw used the alias Clay Bertrand in New Orleans' gay society.

- DirectorYorgos AvgeropoulosGreece is experiencing conditions in post-war history that no European thought would face again. Homeless people, soup kitchens, unemployment, poverty, violent conflicts and the rise of the extreme-right. The dream of prosperity has turned into a nightmare and the political scene of the last four decades is crumbling. Yorgos Avgeropoulos urgently turns his camera towards his homeland. He records the development of the crisis from its early stage, while tracing its impact on the lives of people. He witnesses popular protests in the streets, the development of solidarity movements as well as the rise of fascism, while at the same time he seeks answers from Greece's most significant political personalities, insiders, analysts and key decision makers from the international political scene.
- DirectorTheodoros AngelopoulosStarsOmero AntonuttiEva KotamanidouMihalis GiannatosA rebel leader calling himself Alexander the Great escapes from prison and captures some English tourists to hold as hostages. He returns to his village and finds there a commune in existence. An open critique of private property and institutions of social, sexual, and gendered control and coercion, Theo Angelopoulos’s challenging address of the myth of the Macedonian king is simultaneously a stylized redeployment of the conqueror’s life and a critique of the figure it deploys. This complex dualism makes the film difficult to appreciate and explains its poor critical and public reception.
Set in 1899, the film give us an Alexander who is a revolutionary, an outlaw, and an anarchist struggling against the monarchy as well as the local villagers who have staged their own non-violnet coup and denonced hierarchical social arrangements.
Rather than side with the people, who know what they want, though, Alexander betrays them to the Monarch, who later betray him. In the end, Alexander is deposed by the village women, who transmogrify him into a marble statue that serves as a cautionary reminder rather than a celebratory memorial.

Edgar Hoover, powerful head of the F.B.I. for nearly fifty years, looks back on his professional and personal life.Emma Goldman was released from a two-year prison term, on September 27, 1919, only to be immediately reimprisoned. Goldman had been charged in 1917, along with her long-time comrade Alexander Berkman, for "conspiring against the draft" as a result of their work creating the No-Conscription league in May 1917 to oppose U.S. involvement in World War I. The activists began their prison sentences in December, 1917.
After immigrating to the United States at 16 in 1885, Goldman soon became an outspoken advocate for the rights of workers and women. Incensed by the poor standard of living of the majority of workers, she began lecturing and promoting anarchism as the best method to achieve equality. Goldman's anarchistic belief in absolute freedom from governments, that served the powerful and exploited the poor and dispossessed, shaped her life-long activism.
As Goldman's prison release neared in August 1919, the director of the Justice Department's General Intelligence committee, the young J. Edgar Hoover, worked to ensure Goldman and Berkman's permanent removal from American society. Hoover pressured the courts to deny Goldman's citizenship claims, thus making her vulnerable to the 1918 Alien Act. In a letter to a governmental official, Hoover described Goldman and Berkman as "beyond doubt, two of the most dangerous anarchists in this country," concluding that they would, "if permitted to return to the community...do undue harm."
Goldman and Berkman were deported at the end of 1919 with 247 other immigrant radicals to the new Soviet Union. After less than two years in Russia, Goldman left the country disillusioned by the violence and unforgiving rule of the Bolsheviks. She spent the remainder of her life traveling throughout Europe and Canada, politically frustrated by her status as an exile. After her death, Goldman was finally readmitted to the United States and buried in Chicago.

- DirectorPier Paolo PasoliniStarsPaolo BonacelliGiorgio CataldiUberto Paolo QuintavalleIn World War II Italy, four fascist libertines round up nine adolescent boys and girls and subject them to 120 days of physical, mental, and sexual torture. If "Funny Games" (dir. by Haneke), shows the dark side, pure sadism without any mediation, Salò or The 120 Days of Sodom enlarges that context. Sadism is only a face of fascism at its extreme: that’s director Pasolini’s explanation for it. Four fascist officials (simply called the President, the Bishop, the Duke and the Magistrate) captures a group of young boys and girls and bring them to a big country house. In this residence exist a lot of rules created by the officials.
The film is influenced by the geography of Dante’s Inferno and the film is divided into chapters. The officials represent power (The President represents economics, the Bishop the church, the Duke the nobility and the Magistrate the judiciary), all of which completely annihilates their humanity. Helped by military force of SS, the sadists commence a series of incredibly cruel acts towards the young people.
The film details the most extreme acts of gruesomeness, where the darkest side of nihilism reaches an appalling level. Pasolini equates absolute fascism with absolute sadism through the corruption of bourgeois power. Hierarchy not only denies every value but also humanity itself by completely humiliating human beings. Marx’s visions and the ideas of other philosophers such as Klossowski and Blanchot, influenced Pasolini as he strained to the limit of observation.
This acclaimed director was able to combine cultural influences with monstrosity and the result is disturbing. If this film is considered completely disgusting due to coprophagy, rape, sadistic, gore, but also takes in a psychological stance towards the nihilistic hierarchs, which negate to humanity its dignity. - DirectorMichael MooreStarsMichael MooreGeorge W.
