I could've put The Meaning of Life here, but I had to go with this 1979 British comedy film parodying the life of Jesus Christ. This film was banned in Ireland until 1987, Norway until 1980, apartheid South Africa, Singapore, and Malaysia for accusations of blasphemy. The film was also banned in 39 local cities in the UK or just given an X (18) rating, despite the British Board of Film Classification (BBFC) giving it an AA rating, but nowadays it's a 15. Monty Python claimed it as an attack on modern organized religion and it's practices. They also poked fun at the ban in Norway, so they told everyone in Sweden "Denna film var så roligt, det var förbjudet i Norge!", translated as "This film was so funny, it was banned in Norway!"
