Burnie Burns is an American film producer, animated filmmaker known for his Machinima work on the Red vs. Blue series. Also an actor, he appeared in the 2015 movie The Outfield. He joined the cast of The Amazing Race in season 28. He is also one of the co-founders of Rooster Teeth Productions. He also is a comedian, host, and director living in Austin, Texas. He is a co-founder, former chief executive officer, and current chief creative officer of Rooster Teeth. He was a voice actor for The Strangerhood, Halo 3, and P.A.N.I.C.S. His work on 2010's Immersion earned him an IAWTV award for Best Hosted Taped Web Series.
In April 2003, Burns, along with several friends and co-workers, created the Internet Machinima series Red vs. Blue: The Blood Gulch Chronicles. Filmed using the video game Halo, Red vs. Blue was acclaimed for its humor and originality, making Burns an Internet celebrity. His success allowed him to co-found the production company Rooster Teeth. After the immediate popularity of Red vs. Blue, Burns attracted the attention of video game company Electronic Arts, who asked him to create a promotional series using their upcoming game, The Sims 2. The result was The Strangerhood. Burns also premiered P.A.N.I.C.S., a mini-series that utilizes the F.E.A.R. game engine. In 2016, Burns starred in the science fiction comedy film Lazer Team, which he co-wrote.
As one of the innovators in the field of machinima, he has made guest appearances at the Penny Arcade Expo, San Diego Comic-Con International, Sundance and The Sydney Film Festival. For his work on Immersion (2010), a live action series that tests video game tropes in the real world, and The Gauntlet (2013), Rooster Teeth's reality game show, he has been nominated for two IAWTV awards in the "Best Host of a Web Series (Pre-Recorded)" category. He was named one of the "Top 25 Digital Stars" by The Hollywood Reporter in 2015.
Michael Justin "Burnie" Burns was born in Rochester, New York on January 18, 1973 and grew up in Houston, Texas. The son of a Catholic priest and a Catholic nun, Burnie's early life was directed toward the medical profession. His father was a Physics professor who worked on the Desertron Super Collider. He is one quarter French-Canadian.[10] The nickname "Burnie" was given to him by an Alief Elsik High School senior to separate him from the many Michaels in his class. Burns' determination to pursue a medical career led him to become a member of HOSA. Half of his senior year consisted of clinical rotations at Southwest Memorial Hospital . As a state champion in medical terminology, he focused his academic career in high school on attending the University of Notre Dame. After high school, he attended The University of Texas at Austin, where he received a Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science. While there, Burns got his start in video production by volunteering at K29HW-D, Texas Student Television. During his time with TSTV, he founded Sneak Peek, the longest-running student television program in the world, in which he reviewed films and conducted interviews with guests such as Adam Sandler.
Burns went on to become the president of the tech support company teleNetwork Partners, and eventually broke out to form his independent company Rooster Teeth.
When his family couldn't afford to send him after his acceptance, Burnie chose instead to attend the University of Texas. While there, his studies led him to switch his focus from pre-med to computer science. In his free time, he dabbled in film. At Texas Student Television, a student-produced television station out of the university, he founded the longest-running student program in the world, Sneak Peek, where he reviewed movies, discussed entertainment news and even interviewed a young Adam Sandler. In his final year of university, Burns was intent on making a movie. Joel Heyman and Matt Hullum, who were roommates at the time, agreed to help, with the former agreeing to star and the latter helping write, produce and direct. They shot The Schedule (1997) over a three-month period on 16mm film for $9,000.
urns became frustrated with the difficult distribution process and the film only screened in a few festivals. Soon after, the trio parted ways. Heyman and Hullum went to Los Angeles, while Burns accepted a position at a local tech support company.
There, he met his co-workers and future Red vs. Blue collaborators Geoff Ramsey and Gus Sorola. In June 2002, Burns teamed up with his colleagues to create their first viral video, a Mac Gamer Switch parody.
Burnie wrote and directed his first feature film, The Schedule (1997), in his final year of university with his friends and future Red Vs. Blue partners Joel Heyman and Matt Hullum. After graduating with a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science he accepted the position of President of teleNetwork. There, his co-workers included future RvB collaborators Dan Godwin, Geoff Ramsey and Gus Sorola. In 2003 he started the hit web series Red Vs. Blue and founded Rooster Teeth Productions. Burnie lives in Austin, TX and is a member of the International Academy of Web Television.- Producer

Jeffry Ryan Chaffin was born in Irving, Texas just west of Dallas on November 14, 1975. His film production company, Backyard Films Presents, was born when he was 13, when he used to recreate his favorite films on video with the neighborhood kids. The Goonies, Star Trek, westerns, kung-fu and superheroes were just some of the subjects tackled.
After graduating from Columbia College Chicago (Class of 1998), he took on several jobs in Los Angeles trying whatever it is you do to break into the biz. He delivered scripts, ran errands for post production houses, did some assistant editing, gripped on movie sets and took in sides from casting offices at Showfax, where he met filmmaker Scott Feinblatt. It would be just a few years later that they would collaborate on "Outtake Reel," a found footage film depicting a director's descent into madness as he is undermined by his cast and put in a volatile situation by his involuntary biographer/mega fan. For this outing, Feinblatt took on an acting role as the director and Jeffry portrayed the mega fan, with supporting roles from Lloyd Kaufman and Tiffany Shepis.
After making his first 16mm film, Pinto Bean, in college, Jeffry created the micro budget feature "Ungirlfriendable." The film depicts a sad sack comic strip creator who gets in an accident and his thoughts can then be seen by women. Shot entirely in front of green screen, so illustrated backgrounds could be added later for a 2D comic strip look.
A trilogy of black and white short films followed that revolve around a domesticated Saquatch and his bumbling buddies. Each film takes on otherworldly threats in the form of evil meteors, evil aliens and evil demons. The films garnered several awards from film races. These films blend horror, science fiction, parody, 80s nostalgia and comedy together showcasing Jeffry's unique take on storytelling.
These sensibilities come together for his forthcoming sci-fi, comedy "Soul Jumpers." Soul Jumpers is set to start production in early 2023 with a cast of some familiar faces and some new faces that are sure to take the audience for a great ride.- Director

Michael Marco is a French-American filmmaker. He was born Michaël Joseph Raymond Marco, in Toulon, France. The son of Lyna Pont, a French Navy employee and François Marco, a talented carpenter. His parents are both from Spanish decent.
Marco got bit by the acting bug at an early age while performing in a summer camp play.
He grew up watching American and French classics such as The Good, the Bad and the Ugly (1966), The Great Escape (1963), The Samurai (1967), The Night Caller (1975), The Towering Inferno (1974), Death Wish (1974), Dirty Harry (1971), Buffet Froid (1979), and the list goes on and on...
In the '80s, Marco was lucky to have found a video group in the little town he grew up in, who took a few kids under their wing and gave them proper training in production and post-production. They let the teenagers borrow the equipment and taught them how to work a U-matic editing bench. They started writing and shooting short films.
Marco ended the last year of junior high by acting in the short play "Edouard et Agrippine" de René de Obaldia, a story written with three characters and one location. It was just enough for the acting bug to permanently sink its teeth into him.
When Marco moved to Dallas, Texas in 1993, it was inevitable that he would get into the film and TV business.
Today Marco lives in Texas with his wife Jennifer. He is an award-winning writer and filmmaker, a seasoned editor and a passionate actor... who now produces as well.- Actor

While in college studying pre-med to end up in the same medical profession as most of her family, Trisha spent a summer working in a printing press in Fremont, California as a binder that gave her enough time to complete her very first full-length screenplay 'Hola Armando' that was never produced but did the job to drop out of school and pursue her passion instead. With the support of her grandfather, whose own love for music could only realize after he retired from his profession as an ObGyn, Trisha started volunteering and interning for different production companies and learned every aspect of film production from being on set as a runner or production assistant, editor's help, demonstrator of new software and technologies at mall showrooms, until she was hired by a television network as an in-house producer. It was her experimental feature 'Flipped' that taught her a great deal about filmmaking. She was the only crew while her friends and family were cast in different roles. Although she refused to show it to anyone except lead actor San Banarje, the film became equivalent to several years of school for her.- Writer

A Lone Star native with a lanky but athletic frame, tall, fair and blond-haired Barry Tubb has always felt at home on the range and many of his film and TV projects are indicative of that. Born in Snyder, Texas on February 13, 1963, his father owned an oil drilling company. Barry entered competition roping calves and riding bulls at age 7 and was, at one time, a "World Champion Jr. Bull Rider" at age 15. He then broadened his horizons by lassoing an acting career to boot. Following his graduation from Snyder High School in 1981, he left the rodeo circuit and relocated to San Francisco to pursue acting. Stage trained there, he eventually headed south to try his luck in Hollywood.
Barry initially drew attention on TV series work and in topical mini-movies dealing with sensitive issues. Following a regular role on the short-lived baseball ensemble series Bay City Blues (1983) and a recurring part as a rookie cop on Hill Street Blues (1981), he received critical applause for two prominent TV-movie roles -- one sympathetic and one not so sympathetic -- as a withdrawn homosexual who comes out to his parents and faces the repercussions therein in the high quality social drama Consenting Adult (1985), and as a self-involved preppy corporate caught up in murder in Billionaire Boys Club (1987).
Barry's Texas-boy type TV career reached its apex when he was cast as cowboy Jasper Fant in the epic western mini-series Lonesome Dove (1989) and its sequel Return to Lonesome Dove (1993), which were partially set in his native state. Once he cemented his reputation for high-quality material, he gravitated towards film with supporting roles in Mask (1985), The Legend of Billie Jean (1985) and Top Gun (1986) in which he played a fighter pilot trainee. In 1988, in a complete change of pace, he debuted on Broadway co-starring with Mary Tyler Moore and Lynn Redgrave in "Sweet Sue" by A.R. Gurney. Having a respectable run of 164 performances, he and the show gained a bit of notoriety when he appeared in it fully nude (not full frontal) as a model who poses for a drawing.
Specializing in quirky, fair-haired fellows with a slight but appealing awkwardness, he eventually grew disenchanted with Hollywood and turned to independent filming as well as other interests. At one point he moved to France (1991-93) and rode in a resurrection of Buffalo Bill's Wild West show. He spread his wings to include off-camera activity, wherein he starred, directed, produced and co-wrote the real cowboy and Indians low-budget Blood Trail (2005). He then returned to his youthful roots writing, producing and directing the family fare feature Grand Champion (2002), the exploits of a young boy who raises a prize-winning steer and struggles to save it from the slaughterhouse. He shot the film in his own Texas hometown of Snyder.
Into the millennium, Barry maintained a standard foothold in independent features with a few mature support roles thrown in and making occasional trips behind the camera as well. Such films included the action western American Outlaws (2001) starring link=nm0268199]; the Southern-styled comedy Baghdad Texas (2009); an off-the-wall comedy he wrote, produced and directed entitled Clown Hunt (2008) (the title tells all - about hunters hunting down clowns!); the horror opus Javelina (2011), which he also directed; the romantic dramedy Dear Sidewalk (2013) and the crime thriller Two Step (2014), which filmed in Texas. He also had a recurring roles on the TV series Friday Night Lights (2006) and Revolution (2012). Since then, Barry has kept a very low profile.- Actor

Michael Walters is an award winning American director, producer, writer, cinematographer and editor, who's professional experience spans over 1100 productions within 32 years of film and television. His calling for being behind the camera, began at age 12 when he was gifted a portable reel to reel recorder, and at age 15 a friend loaned him a super 8mm film camera.
At age 16, Michael began audio mixing and engineering for gospel concert tours, and worship events, and begin working behind the camera in television studio tapings. It was then Michael set his goal to make his way into television production as soon as possible, which in the 1970's the opportunity was extremely limited. Michael sold and designed professional audio systems and radio studios for several years until in 1984 he was hired to record location audio for a post 1984 Olympics segment of ABC's Wide World of Sports, featuring gold medal boxing heavyweights Tyrell Bigs and Evander Holyfield. Michael soon moved into the directors chair of a local nightly television program, and caught the eye of Hollywood golden era producer, William Trull who contracted Michael to begin directing and producing commercials and a documentary for Trull's advertising agency.
Michael used his natural talent and eye for developing marketing concepts and focused on writing, producing and directing television commercials for the next couple years moving from a successful free lance operator to becoming the first hire in the launch of what was to become a massively successful pilot program for the national cable advertising industry, providing commercial content for several cable networks. During this stint Michael had produced over 170 commercials, a foreign medical documentary, a television series and gained the attention of MTV who recognized Michael for his "out of the box" concepts including cut to the beat edits, and inventing the "swish pan", which became adapted immediately into many music videos of the 80's era.
Offers soon followed including a ten year contract to produce and direct national commercials for Cadillac but family circumstances did not allow Michael to pursue this dream opportunity. However two years later Michael did land in New York fulfilling another dream job, managing, directing and co-producing a nationally daily syndicated talk show centered on teen issues, for which he found to be both creatively challenging and spiritually rewarding. In 1989 Michael's directing and production managing skills soon caught the attention of head hunters for Disney's newly launched Buena Vista television division but Michael instead returned home to Texas where he worked a short stint in news for the NBC affiliate in Fort Worth. In 1991 Michael launched a broadcast and production services and consulting company which among his many international clients he launched and supported several national satellite television networks, and operated two television stations in Texas In 2000 Michael relocated to Virginia to expand opportunities, and while there he returned to news working for an NBC affiliate which allowed him to work in the White House Press Corps, and at the University of Virginia Medical Center studios. The following year Michael went north to build and manage two television stations for DayStar Television in the Boston and Buffalo markets.
In 2001 Michael returned to Texas free lancing in video production and in 2009 Michael founded HD Texas, during which time he produced several music videos, short films, industrials and commercials for several national marketing companies such as Pixelfish, Home and Garden Television, and Citysearch. The company was re-branded in 2012 to HD Texas Motion Pictures Company as it moved its commitment to producing life-affirming messages with the first being a slate of several feature length motion picture projects including The Deadliest Gun, What Child is This, and the My Heart Dies With You, trilogy just to name a few of the titles now in development- Producer

W. Ross Wells is an Emmy-winning film director with a resume including national advertising, music videos, documentary films and digital content. He made his first film after finding his dad's hand-wound movie camera in a closet at age 9 and hasn't stopped yet.
He began his professional film career as an editor, cutting TV spots and working with a number of directors and major agencies. It was here that he learned to apply his sense of comedic timing to film along with the numerous visual effects skills he uses in his work today.
In 1987 an opportunity to direct travel programming for the original Travel Channel and the direct-to-video market presented itself. Ross took the job and spent 5 years traveling the globe making travel documentaries. He filmed on a great many overseas locations from China to Germany, Ireland to The Caribbean.
Tired of living out of a suitcase and washing his clothes in the bathtub at The Grand Hyatt Taipei, Ross started directing commercials in the early 1990s. As a Commercial Director he has lensed many national and regional spots, collecting numerous awards and clients along the way.
Ross will tell you that his many hours spent helping other directors realize their vision in the edit suite has shaped his approach to the role. His instincts as an editor and as a director work in harmony on the set. In recent years Ross has chalked up credits for Shell Oil Co, Merck, US Pro Tennis, Kidde, VisitHouston, Golden Nugget Casinos and many more.
When conceptual artists The Art Guys teamed up with Designer Todd Oldham to create the year-long performance project "Suits: The Clothes Make The Man", Ross picked up the camera once again to document their travels in suits covered with advertising. The task of documenting an art performance inadvertently was transformed into a feature-length film when the Art Guys art turned into a commentary on advertising, art, media and society.
Today, Ross specializes in comedy and visual FX oriented TV commercials, music videos and branded content for national and regional markets in the US and abroad.- Producer

Since he was a child, Nicholas Zebrun knew he wanted to be a filmmaker. Raised on classic films and television, it was seeing Citizen Kane (1941) at the age of five that convinced him that he wanted to work both in front of and behind the camera. He was raised in Fort Worth, Texas and throughout his middle school and high school years won many awards for his writing and singing abilities. He graduated from Southwest High School and immediately began plans to start his own production company, which he did in 2005. He honed his craft by making the short thriller Midnight Ransom (2005) and it's explosive sequel Midday Ransom (2005) and then paired up with his production partner David Sowden to produce White Powder (2006), A Part (2008), and A Girls Night Out (2009). He also produced Block (2009), Leah (2011), Banana & Kim (2013), and The Ballad of Little Bobby Lowe (2020) with writer/director David Paul.
At the start of the 2010's, Mr. Zebrun briefly flirted with politics when he ran for Fort Worth Mayor in 2011. After that, his work branched out to include his first feature-length film Variations on a High School Romance (2010), and his multi-award winning movies Noir City (2014), Three Conversations About Two People in One Place (2015), and Requiem for a Shallow Heart (2016). He also produced the award winning short film Room 206 and the Evenings After (2012). In 2013, he started hosting the local DFW talk/variety show The Show Show (2013), which garnered critical acclaim and a devoted fan base. Towards the end of the decade, he paired with actress/composer Katreeva Phillips to write and compose musicals, including "To Catch a Predator: The Musical," "The Boy Who Cried Giant," and "Snow White and the Seven Doubts," all of which received praise and acclaim. He continued in the theater world, writing, directing, and acting in such Shakespearean productions as "Much Ado About Nothing," "The Merry Wives of Windsor," and "Hamlet: Prince of Denmark."
Mr. Zebrun's films have been noted for their kineticism, socio-political themes, and their stylized approach reminiscent of the great screen classics of the past.
